Yankees

Identify some the players depicted in the Yankee film. The list of retired numbers begin with 4 and 3? Who are they? Who are some of the other retired numbers? What is iconic about the Yankees? Who was the greated Yankee? Have you ever been to a professional baseball game?

I didnt get to see the blog sooo I'll name a few Yankees back in the day. First off my to idols in baseball are Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth. Mickey was numder 7 and Babe was 3!!!! I collect baseball cards and those two players right there are my pride and joy. Some more players would probally be Yogi Berra, Dave Winfield, Dan Mattingly, Roger Maris, and Willie Randolf. These baseball players are probally the best players of all time in my book. Yogi was #8, Dan was #23, Daves I cant remember, Roger And Willie I forget also sorry. Unfortunatley I've only been to one one Major League Baseball game =(. The good thing was I got to see the Yankees VS the Oriles. I was only eight at the time but I remember everything. It's something I'll never ever forget. Last year I went to see the Yankees Minor League play they are called the Scranton Wilks-Berra Yankees. I got to see Jason Gambi play it was really fun. I hope to go again one day.

Some of the players depicted in the video are Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra, Robinson Cano, David Cone, and David Wells. All of the retired numbers are: #4 Lou Gehrig, #3 Babe Ruth, #5 Joe DiMaggio, #7 Mickey Mantle, #37 Casey Stengel, #8 Yogi Berra, #8 Bill Dickey, #16 Whitey Ford, #15 Thurman Munson, #32 Elston Howard, #9 Roger Maris, #10 Phil Rizzuto, #1 Billy Martin, #44 Reggie Jackson, #23 Don Mattingly, # 49 Ron Guidry. The Yankees are iconic because they won the most world championships than any other team in any other sport. The greatest Yankee in my opinion is Mickey Mantle because he had the best talent and was the best switch hitter. Yes, I have been to a professional baseball game. It was on the field trip to Toronto this April. It was the Blue Jays vs. the Athletics.

This is going to sound relly bad on my part, but Babe Ruth, right? The Yankees aren't really my thing, so I have no idea about any toher players. The only professional baseball game I went to was the Pittsburg Pirates vs. Colorado Rockies. I do like the atmosphere there. And the food is good. (:

I don't know anyone on this video. (I like to go to Pirates’ baseball games with my friend but, I'm not a "serious” baseball fan.) I don’t know the players whose jersey number is retired. I don’t know any of the other questions. I have been to two professional baseball games. When I went in sixth grade it was for a field trip. It was a night game and there were fireworks. I loved the fireworks. Last year, I won tickets to the season home opener. My friend went both times and we are hoping to go this year too!

First off, I hate the Yankees therefore the only player i recognized was Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Yoggi Berra. Babe was number 3. and Lou Gehrig was number 4. what is iconic about the yankees? I don't really know, all i know is that they are terrible. But i do think Babe Ruth was the best on the yankees. Yes, I have been to about 3 Red Sox games, and many Pirates games.

Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Thurman Munson were all in the film. Lou Gehrig is number four and Babe Ruth is number 3. Some of the other retired players are Thurman Munson, Jackie Robison, and Elston Howard. The Yankees are best known for their rivalry with the Red Sox. This rivalry is one of the oldest and most heated in American professional sports. It is often heated with taboo subjects such as religion and politics. The best Yankee player would have to be Babe Ruth. Babe Ruth hit 714 homeruns, a record that has only been broken by two people, in his career and 60 homeruns in one season.

Well I'm going to start out by saying I don't watch much baseball and didn't recognize anyone in this video. The retired number 4 is Lou Gehrig. Number 3 is the one name that I recognize and a legend to baseball. And that would be Babe Ruth! He hit 714 career homeruns. I have been to two professional baseball games, both of which were on the gifted field trips. The first I think might've been a college game. All I remember is that we were watching Chicago play at their home field. The second was for sure a professional game where the Toronto Blue Jays played the Oakland Athletics.

Yogi Berra and Lou Gehrig were the ones I noticed. The Yankees are looked at as “Americas’ team and one of the wealthiest franchises in sports. In my mind, Mickey Mantle is the greatest Yankee in the history of the franchise. I’ve only been to a Pittsburgh pirates game.

Truthfully, I barely know anything about Major League Baseball much less the Yankees, but I’m pretty sure Babe Ruth was in this video. I think babe Ruth was number 3 and I have no clue who number 4 was. I do not know any other retired Yankees, since the only two Yankees players I know are Babe Ruth and Alex Rodriguez, and I am pretty sure that Rodriguez isn’t retired even though the only thing I know about him is he Plays for the Yankees and recently confessed to steroids. I think the Yankees are ironic because they have won more championships then all the other teams. I haven’t been to a professional baseball game, but I have been to a Washington Wild Things game in Washington PA when I was a boy scout in 4th grade.

To tell you the truth, I'm not really a baseball person. I have no clue of any of the players in this film. So, I'm cheating and looking on the internet. (:

There are a total of 16 retired numbers, but 17 people. The number eight was used twice.

Number four was Lou Gehrig and number three was Babe Ruth. Other retired numbers are 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 23, 32, 37, 42, 44, and 49.

The Yankees are iconic because they have won more world championships than any other major league baseball team.

I believe that the greatest Yankee was Babe Ruth. But that is the only Yankee that I have ever heard of.

I have been to a few games, such as the Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays, and Chicago Cubs. But they were all with groups and I didn't understand anything that was going on so it was pretty much pointless for me. (:

The players that I recognized were Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantel, and Reggi Jackson (I am no baseball person.) I have no idea who’s numbers are retired. The Yankees are iconic because they have won more World championships than any other team. Babe Ruth or Mickey Mantel is probably the best because everyone knows who they are. I went to a Pirates game when I was in the second grade and it was actually a victory for the Pirates, I was surprised.

Some of the players from the video were Reggi Jackson, Yogi Berra, and Babe Ruth. I have been to only one professional baseball game. I don't follow baseball so i wouldn't know any of the retired players exept Yogi Berra, Babe Ruth, and Reggi Jackson.
