Think Before You Post

What can you do to be safe on the Internet? What is the videographer's purpose in creating this video? Do you feel that this video is accurate? Do you know any examples similar to the one illustrated in this video? How much time do you spend on social networking sites?

You can only send pictures in EMails to people you TRUST, and NEVER post them on Internet sites. I think the purpose was just to warn people about what can happen when you put personal things on the Internet. I do think this video is VERY accurate. I can't think of any examples, no. I normally spend a LOT of time on MySpace, but I'm more than a little bit grounded right now, so not much. That's it! Have a nice day!

when I am on the internet I allways try to be safe like, keeping my facebook privat, only my friends can see my pictures, i never accept a friend unless I know who they are. The purpose of this video is to show what can happen when you post a picture or a comment, it can go anywhere. One of my substitutes had a picture on her facebook and she searched her name on google, her face was on e harmoney under someone elses profile. I have a facebook and i am on there alot, I am not going to lie.

Ways to be safe online are to NOT upload pictures of oneself, don't share personal information, and don't talk to strangers online. The videographer's purpose in creating this video was to inform people to be safe online and be aware of what your doing online. I saw a commercial about this little girl, about 7, chatting online with a online predator. The girl ,not knowing he was a predator, gave him her personal information and he later came to her house and kidnapped her. Well since I do not have a Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter account I'm not on social networking sites too often.

You can do a lot of things to make you safe on the internet by not giving personal information out, don’t post thing you don’t want to be seen by everybody, and don’t friend people you don’t know. I think the reason to make this video was because you should think before telling or showing everybody everything about you. I feel this video is accurate. I have seen a bunch of commercials like this video but I can’t remember any of them. I don’t spend a lot of time on social networking sites I usual check on family members when I am on.

You can ultimately try to stay to friends that you know, keep you information private, or don't post on sites that are image sharing (photobucket, tinypic, imageshack ect.). You showed this video to me before, and it means even more to me now. The videographer is trying to tell you that once you post something you cannot take it away. Anyone can see it, including predators. I find this video to be more than accurate. I feel every teenager in the world should be aware of this video. Maybe less hopeless, naive kids will be killed or abused in any way. I do not recall any example, at least not as good as this source. I spend at least an hour on myspace and facebook. I like to keep in touch with friends, and I stay away from people I do not know.

You can be safe on the internet by not posting personal information. The videographer's purpose is to watch what you say or do on the internet because if someone reads it and they take the information in a wrong way then it'll start rumors. I do feel that the video is accurate. My brothers wife and her friends would start a lot of rumors and it made them look like bad people. I don't really spend much time on social networking sites because of drama. I hate drama because it ruins a lot.

Be private on things like pictures, adresses and other private things. To be careful on some pictures and other personal things you post on the internet.Cause the wrong people can use them for the wrong things. Some people arent who they say they are. They can say there a young person like you and act the part but on the real they can be an older adult. That happens often to kids around the web.Yes,I think this video is pretty accurate. It shows how the picture can be used against her and how it got into the wrong hands.I spend about an hour and a half on Myspace.Thats the only networking site I own.Its pretty private. As you can tell by the name.

Some things you can do to be safe on the internet is you can keep your stuff blocked so only your friends can look at it. You can also just not even put pictures of yourself on the internet. The purpose of the videographer making this movie is to show you how if you just put a picture up it can get ever where very quickly. I feel that this video is accurate because things can really get around that quick. I can't really think of any examples that are similar to the one illustrated in this video. There are some sites that I feel safe on. On the others, I am very precautionary because there are people who hack into your computer that can steal every bit of your private imformation online. The videographer's purpose was that some people may think its funny now but they are going to feel regret after they post. This has never happened to me, so I think that this video is the perfect example. I only get on social networking sites less than a hour every month.

One thing that you can do to be safe on the internet is to not to give out information on a public site that you wouldn't want to show, say, your teacher.

I think that his purpose in making this video was to show the dangers of posting things on the world wide web.

A man was just out of college and in an interview for a job. The interviewer said that his credentials were excellent and that they wanted him to go onto Facebook and remove anything that would embarrass the company. They gave him one hour to do so. So he went online and tried to get ride of some things but since they were on his friends' sites and their friends' site, he couldn't do it. He didn't get the job.

I don't get on Facebook that much. I'd say maybe 5 times a week.

To be safe on the Internet, you can do a multitude of things. You can choose not to post pictures that make you uncomfortable. You can stay away from sites that make you feel uncomfortable. You can refuse to talk to people that you haven’t met. You can also set your web pages to private so that only your friends can see them. In addition, you can choose not to display personal information about yourself such as your phone number, address, school, etc. If you follow these rules you can be safe on the Internet.

The videographer’s purpose of creating this video is to show that once you post something online you can’t take it off. You probably have to be a computer whiz (***cough cough*** computer nerd ***cough cough***) to figure it out (I don’t have that ability) but somehow you can find it even after the information, picture, or video was deleted. He or she also wanted to show that anyone could get a hold of your information, pictures or videos. That was the reason for the pedophile at the end of the movie.

I feel this video is very accurate. Once you post something, you can never take it off. Furthermore, absolutely anyone can get a hold of your stuff. You can think it’s safe but someday it could possibly whip you in the behind.

This isn’t exactly like the video but it’s somehow related. Well, it all started when I was finding pictures for my coat of arms. I admire Mrs. Constable! (BROWNIE POINTS!!!!) Therefore, I googled Jackie Constable in search of a picture of her. The first result was a website called readingwithconstable.blogspot.com. (Does that sound familiar?) I clicked on it and saw all of my classmates’ blogs. Anyone could read them! (Creepy, huh?) I’m now more careful about what I say when I blog.

I don’t spend much time at all on social networking sites. I’m way too busy. If I’m online, I’m either getting music for my iPod or watching stupid videos on youtube because I find them quite addictive.

Wow. My blogs feel short. I need something that I can write a lot about!

Lots of Love!

If you want to be safe than dont show revealing oictures or post personal information on the internet. The videographers purpose is to show that when you post something, you have no idea who looks at it. there are some prettty weird people in the world so being safe is very important. I spend a little bit of time. I have a facebook and i sometimes go on there.

To be safe on the internet make sure you pay attention to what you look at and what you say. I think the point of this video is to warn people not to put pictures on the internet that are not good. I feel this video is very accurate! No, there are many examples off things like this, but i cant really think of one. I would love to have a myspace. My mom will not let me though. She says when i am older, but oh well.

There are a lot of ways to be safe on the internet, like not giving out personal information, not posting pictures of yourself you don't want everyone seeing, and not saying things to or about somebody that you woudln't say to their face. I think the videographers purpose in making this was to let you know of one of the big consequences of posting pictures of yourself online, especaially one that you didn;t want everyone seeing. Yes, I feel that this video was pretty acurate except usually when something like that happens it's more than just the picture getting passed around school. I don not know of any instances like this that I can think of. I usually spend a good bit of time on Facebook, not so much MySpace. I pretty much just talk to my friends or play games online.

When I am on the internet I allways try to be safe like, keeping my myspace privat, only my friends can see my pictures.I think the reason to make this video was because you should think before telling or showing everybody everything about you. Some people arent who they say they are. They can say there a young person like you and act the part but on the real they can be an older adult. The internet is not a safe place for young people if they are on the wrong website.

When i am on the internet, I try to be safe by keeping everything private. Like on myspace ect. you can't add me if you don't know my last name or email address. I add almost everyone, but if I don't know them and they message me or something, I delete them. I think the authors reason for makeing this video is because whatever you post on the internet is gone. No matter how much you try to delete it its still going to be there. Also someone could use your pictures for really rude reasons. I can't think of any examples. I spend a lot of time on the computer because im usally bored.

Dont give out your name, number, adress, or pic. They wanted to show you that once your pic is on the internet, it never goes away. I think this video is pretty accurate. No. I spend a good amount of time on facebook and on myspace, sometimes.

i dont think its a good idea for you to send people pictures to people you dont know because they could find out where you live or they could post it on to other sites and you dont want to post them on the internet they could stalk you for a long time.
