Martin Luther King lived through very rough and trying times. He was a preacher that tried to change the minds of many white people that thought that they were better than others. It is very sad the way people thought back in those days! African Americans couldn’t even go to school with white people. I think the most memorable part is when he says…FREE at last…Thank God Almighty we are Free at Last! The speech explains that one day all African Americans should be free to talk, live and do the same things that white people should do. It is a shame that they were treated so badly! In Washington D.C. they are putting a new monument to honor him and the things that he stood for.
