Think Before You Post

What can you do to be safe on the Internet? What is the videographer's purpose in creating this video? Do you feel that this video is accurate? Do you know any examples similar to the one illustrated in this video? How much time do you spend on social networking sites?

What you can do to be safe on the internet is watch what sites you use, what you say, and also what you post. It's very easy to put yourself in danger now a days on the internet.
The videographer's point in this video is to show you how easy it is to be put in danger by just posting a picture on the internet.
I do think this video is accurate because it shows you that No matter how safe you "Think" you are, theres still some way out there to make it look like your trying to put yourself out there to the world to be someone your not.
I am trying to cut back from being on social networks so much but I am on there for at least 1 maybe 2 hours a day.

What you can do to be safe on the internet is post a picture of an animal or something you like instead of personal information. You can choose not to set up a picture. The videographer's purpose in creating this video is to make people think first about what they post on the internet. Instead of suffering the consiquences Later on because once you post something on the internet it's there to stay. The video does feel accurate to me because this shows some good examples of what could happen. Some similiar examples are think before you post a rude comment about someone else or use rude words in your comments because what you post describes who peopple think you are and you dont want to get mixed up with the wrong kind of crowd. The ammount of time I'm on my Face Book page is maybe a couple times a week if that because I'm just not one of those people who feel that they have to post every second of every day.

You can be safe on the internet. You can use false information about yourself and not put any pictures of yourself that you will regret. Once you put something on the internet, you cannot take it back. Someone can edit it and make it like you are something else. They can send it to their friends and they send it to their friends and so on.

The videographer's purpose is that you have to try to be safe on the internet. I think that this video is accurate. I think this because something like that could happen to someone. I do not spend any time on social network sites.

Make sure you don't say where you live, address and state.Watch what you put on the internet when you put it on there it won't go away.Yes, I think it is accurate because stuff like this happens all the time.

Yes when somone posts a picture and they don't like it so they try to take it off and they can't. Maybe five minuets a week I dont spend much time on Facebook.

Some things you can do to be safe on the internet are watch what you post meaning don't put up your personal information, inappropriate pictures, or bad language.
I think the videographer's purpose in making the video is to warn us that once something is out there you can never get it back. Somebody can save it to their computer and make copies and you can't stop it.
I feel this video is very accurate. People post stuff in moments of anger or people pressure them and as soon as they do it they regret it, but it would have already been to late.
I personally don't know of any cases similar to this one, but I know it happens. I'm sure as we get older it will happen more.
I spend about 20 minutes a day on social networking sites. That probably breaks down to 15 minutes on Facebook and 5 on Instragram.

To be safe on the internet you can be smart of what you post and make sure you know who is going to see it. The videographer's point of making the video was to show that once you put something on the internet, even if you try to delete it, everyone can see it. Yes I feel this video is very accurate because some kids post pictures like that because they think it's cool or attractive but as you can see it's not and it gives you a bad reputation. I have seen things on social networking like this before. I don't spend that much time on social networking sites because of sports and homework but I do check it every once and a while.

What way I think to be safe on the internet is to just stay off talk sites and avoid talking to someone you don't know. I think what the video was trying to say is when something goes on the internet it never goes away so be careful what you post. You really dont want to post any personal info about you like where you live because somone could show up at your house one day .

What can you do to be safe on the internet? Well, there are many ways to be safe on the internet, Like watch what you put on a website about you, where you live, what school you go to, and your age. It's not always a good idea to put a picture of yourself because you never know who is going to see it! And another thing is watch what you say or share, because people can always make up rumors or change the story about what you were saying!

I do think this video is accurate because you never know what will happen with the things you share with people that people all over can see or read. So always be safe with what you do on the internet!

Unknown said...

You can be safe on the internet by only looking up appropriate material. Another way to be safe is to never show private information. You need to keep track of what kind of photos you post on the internet. The videographer's purpose is to warn the youth how showing private information could be harmful on the internet.
I feel the video is accurate because there has been lots of reports of harrassment on the news. One example of a social network is Facebook. Teenagers spend alot of time on Facebook, not realizing that others can access lots of information about them. I do not spend alot of time on social networking sites. I spend up to 20 minutes a week. I would be rather be playing with my friends on Xbox or hanging out at the park.

I think the video "Think Befor You Post" is about how people post things and think that other people dont care what the other person posted, but weather or not everyone will see it and you wont be able to erase it.

One time, I posted something really mean about my friend that at that one time i really wasnt thinking at all. There were like really strong words that most adults dont even say by themselves.

So one day you have an idea about posting something you shouldnt do in the first place, dont do it. Or if you dont care about what people care about you posting go ahead. "THE CHOICE IS YOURS"

Being safe on the internet means watching what you post, no personal pictures of yourself or family. Also, your address, phone number or any personal info. The videographer is trying to show us that once you post a picture or anything else, you cant remove it. This is true about internet safety. Once you post this, anyone can access it. An example similar to this one is Facebook. Many students and adults post pictures and personal info daily. My parents wont allow us on Facebook, because of these reasons therefore I don't spend much time. I usually just facetime or Skype my friends which is just communicating live.

Posting thing on the Internet is a very dangerous thing. Pictures ,posts, and anything that you say can ruin your whole reputation. Never post your phone number, or address on the computer. You never know who's hands will get ahold of them.

The videographers point of this video is to show you that it's very dangerous about what you put on the Internet. He also is saying that it can ruin your reputation.

The video is very accurate because all of it truly happens everyday. I have not had the chance to observe these actions, but I know it happens.

I usaully spend most of my nights on social networking, so probably 2-3 hours.

Some ways to be safe on the internet are, don't talk to strangers. Another way is to think about what you type and post on the internet.
I think the purpose was to inform everyone, about the importance of watching what you put on the internet. Also, to show that there are lots of people who can see what you posted. Whatever you put on the internet, cannot be taken off. Yes you may have deleted it, but the fact of the matter is, everyone already saw it. So, unless you have a memory eraser, then they can still remember and visualize what you posted.
I think that this video is definately accurate. There's a lot of people out there, just like her. They posted this picture, and now that tons of people have seen it, they are embarassed by it.
I don't really have any examples that I know of, but I'm sure there are plenty of instances similar to this one.
I probably spend around...thirty minutes to an hour each week. I don't really waste my time on the internet anymore. I'd rather be working out or watching tv.

One way to be safe on the internet is to not post anything that can be linked to you. The purpose of the video is to inform you to be safe about what you post, because it will never go away. Yes, I believe the video is accurate. I don’t know of anything that is similar to this video, but I’m positive that there are a lot. I don’t believe in social networking sites, because if I have something to say to someone, I’ll say it to they’re face so they don’t take something the wrong way. Therefore I never use them.

I think it is accurate because nothing you put or say on the internet can be taken off. An example i know is someone said something on the internet one time and the victim took the comment and printed it off and the suspect was in trouble. Everynight i will usually spend most of my time on twitter and instagram, but other than that i dont get on Facebook much.

If something happened to me like this I would be really scared so that's why I try not to share my information with strangers.

The way to be safe on the internet is to simply use common sense. If someone sends you a mesage asking information about you that just don't answer. Do you even really need to use things like facebook, you have phones.

The obious purpose of this video is to show you that if you openly post a private photo lots of strangers and freaks are going to see it.

I feel this video is pretty much accurate to real life events. I however really don't have this problem I've never used a social networking site other than this one. I didn't even have an email adress until I started doing these blogs.

When you want to be safe on the internet, you should never send people personal or private information because it can be seen by everyone. I think the purpose of the video is to be careful what you post and that it will always be on the internet. Postings can be dangerous if some bad person gets your information. I do feel that this video is accurate. One example is passing notes around about people and starting rumors. Notes and rumors can't be erased just like internet postings. I spend about one to two hours a day on the social networking sites because I like to play games and talk to my friends.

There's a bunch of things you can do to be safe on the internet. One of the most important things is to think into what could happen in the future by your actions. The videographer's purpose in creating this is to show that even if you don't think that doing something like this is a big deal at the moment it can become a problem. The video is very accurate because this could very well happen to someone. There are all different examples of this because some kids don't think before they post so you can find situations like this everywhere. I don't do social networking that much, I'll use it to contact my friends sometimes but that's about it.

The internet is a dangerous place filled with even more dangerous people. People could be watching your every move and you wouldn’t even notice. Some ways to protect yourself while on the internet is to be careful not to post anything about yourself such as phone numbers, addresses, or any other personal information online. In this video, the videographer is trying to portray that once you post something online you can never take it back. Sometimes you can remove the photo, or post, but many people could have saved the photo and posted it on the web. By the next day, thousands of people could have seen it. I feel that this video is very accurate. Many people everyday are posting photos and wishing that they could take it back.
For example, once a girl gave a very inappropriate photo of herself to her boyfriend. He then made several copies and passed them out to everyone, even strangers. She was humiliated and bullied throughout middle school. She then transferred when she entered high school to end the bullying. I spend about ten to twenty minutes a day on social networking sites a day.

To be safe on the internet I would recommend trying to keep what you post a little censored you could say. If you want to post a picture, but you think it is a little too private, then either edit it or just don't post it. Another way to prevent this is to try and avoid sites where you post or don't use social networking sites in all. I think the videographers purpose in the video is so kids won't ruin their lives because of one picture that other people who don't know them can see. No, this video to me is not accurate because of the fact that some things can be removed and not everyone in the world can have access to that post unless you have given it to them some how. I do not know of any examples relating to the situation, but I do know how common it occurs. I honestly don't spend much time on social networking sites. I get on maybe once every two months.

To be safe on the internet you need to watch what you do. You shouldn't post pictures that are really personal. Never say anything that could haunt you in the future. Anything you post on the internet could get into the hands of the wrong people. If you have the choice you should make things you post that can be viewed by friends only. It shouldn't be public to everyone.

I think the videographers purpose in this video was to show you that even if you try to get rid of the photo you posted, somewhere, someone will be able to find it.

Yes I feel that the video was accurate because when you post things you can't take them back. They will be out there and everyone can see them. I probably spend 1 hour on social networking sites. I would rather not be on the computer as much as I am. Then I would have more time to do other things.

When you are on the internet there is not very many ways that you can be safe. Some of the few ways are that you don't post any personal information that you don't want the whole world to see. Also don't talk to anyone you don' know close.

The purpose of this video is to show kids that anything that you put online can be seen by anyone at any time. There is no way to remove it completely from the world. This video is very accurate because if you watch the news almost everyday you here a different story about teens posting inappropriate to post.

I don't think that I have been in any situations that relate to this. In my spare time I am always online. Before I go to bed and when I wake up I check and see what everybody is up to in this world.

TO be safe one the internet can be hard to achieve, the way to do it is to watch what you say ( examples are like saying you hate someone, or blabbing private info) and also keepng an eye on other peoples posts, if the ost anything offensive, you should protest it.
the point of the videographer is to prove that it is easy to wind up in a situation, no matter what the original intention, the circumstances, and the mistakenly expected results.
i think it both is and int accurate. accurate because it proves that something innocent intended can be missperceped. inaccurate because in a real situation, more people than just the whole school would see it, also people out of town, and you never know who might be watching you. it is a scary thought really

The videographer's point is to show how just by posting one slightly innapropriate picture ruined the girl's reputatation and it made her look bad. Yes, I do feel the video is accurate because you always hear about or see someone that does that sort of thing, and it could result in a serious consequence. In my opinion, to be safe on the internet is very easy. As long as you have all your accounts set to private and never post anything you want to take off, you will be fine! Once it is on the internet it can never be removed.

I feel that the videographer's purpose was to inform you about how dangerous the internet can be. As he/she shows you what happens to a girl all because she posted a picture online. Everyone saw it, and the next day the picture was duplicated all over the school!

I feel that this video is very accurate. It is showing you that, yes, this can happen to anyone. No matter who you are once it's online everyone will see it.

I haven't seen anything like this yet, but I hope I never have too. If I counted how much time I spend on the internet I would have to day about a half an hour to an hour about every other day. I don't feel that social networks are as important as I use to anymore. Overall this could happen to anyone. All I have to say is don't post anything that you don't want to be seen. Once it is on there people can save it, send it, and post it no matter when you delete it. It's out there forever!

In order to be safe on the internet, I believe you shouldn’t have an online profile page. This opens the door for all kinds of issues. Not only should you not post pictures of yourself, you also need to watch posting personal information and who you are chatting with. I think the videographer’s purpose is to show once you put something online, it will never go away. Yes I feel this video strongly depicts the way once you post a picture, or something that you type you can never delete it. This has never occurred in my family because none of us has a profile page, none of us are ever bothered with this kind of situation. I have never spent a second on social sites. I believe they leave you vulnerable to online predators, bullying, and can turn into an addiction. I don’t think there is any real purpose to have one unless communicating with family far away.

To be safe on the internet, you should hide any information that is personal, or even information that people can use to find other precious information about you. The videographer's purpose is that even though you think you can take a photo, or a post down from the internet, someone can copy it, and put it somewhere else for many people to see. Not to mention that it is very likely that someone already has, depending on how inappropriate or personal the picture/post is. I do feel that the video is accurate, because I think the videographer expressed his purpose in a way that is very understandable to the teens of this generation. Many times I will see people, mostly girls, on social networking sites give out their phone number, and they may think all people can do is call them, but they don't realize that people can use that one bit of information to track down e-mails, zip codes, or even addresses. I dont spend much time on social networking sites, but when I do, I don't post anything; I just look at the posts of other people, so I would think I'm fairly safe on this subject.

What you can do to be safe on the internet is watch what kind of wibesites and web pages you get onto. Don't click onto any spams or anything like that and know what your getting yourself into or signing up for. Be aware of all URL's and watch what you click on. I think the videographers purpose in making this video is to show that one little picture can get spread around like wildfire and can go viral in so many amount of seconds. The video is trying to say watch and be carful and aware of what you post onto the internet. I don't know why but I don't really feel like this video is accurate because in real life, no person is going to put any kind of picture up on the bulletin board in the school hallway for everyone to see. Now, it's more likely they will post it onto the internet rather than put it up at school. I don't think I really know any examples similar to the one illustrated in this video. I probably spend about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours on any type of social networking site in one day. Now in one week, I can't count that high.

Personally, I cannot think of any examples. I spend alot of time on social networks. No, I dont post every second of everyday, but when I do post, it's usually scriptures of the bible.

You can not talk to someone you don't know, or make sure they're who they say they are before talking with them. The videographers purpose is saying that once you put something on the internet, it will never go away, even if you delete it from your page etc. Yes, I feel it is very accurate metaphorically, but a picture would never reappear on a bulletin board. I do not personally know of any situations related to this, but I have heard stories. I will get on Facebook every couple of days for only a couple of minutes.

Posting images, videos, and other things bad, well not exactly bad just things that look bad on the internet is a dangerous thing to do because first of all you'll never be able to take it down, second of all you'll get stocked probably, it's a 98.8 percent that you would, and third of all if it's that bad you'll probably get laughed at or called baby or some sort. How you can be safe on the computer is don't take pictures of yourself that you don't want to be on there or that you think someone is going to judge you from it. You can also put a picture of like a baby bird or and cute little puppy instead of personal of information. I thought the video grapher's purpose was to stop putting things on the internet that is inappropriate for school and anywhere else in the world. So they need to stop doing that like for reals.

What can you do to be safe on the Internet is to watch what you post on Facebook, Twitter, or Instragram. You also have to watch what web sites you go on, and watch who you are friends with on Facebook. The videogragher's purpose is to show how easy it is to get in trouble with your parents or any other adults. I think this video is accurate, because you "think" you are so safe when you are not, and it can get you in danger. I spend about 30 minutes to an hour on social networking sites.

To be safe on the Internet, you shouldn't put any of your personal information online, such as your phone number, your full name and age, and your address. The videographer's purpose in creating this video is he or she is teaching us a life lesson. The videographer is telling us we need to watch what we post on the internet because anybody can see it. It can also ruin your life if it is an inappropiate picture. Yes I do think this video is accurrate Yes I do know of an example like the one shown in this video because I've heard that people have been registered as sex offenders for inappropiate pictures. There was a girl that sent a picture with too much cleavage showing to her boyfriend. Then she was registered as a sex offender, but she committed suicide unlike the girl in this video. On a daily basis I spend about a half hour to an hour on social networking sites.
