The Roaring Twenties

What do you think of the justice that was administered in the 20's? Do you think that the black community was intimidated by the lynchings? What was the primary location of the lynchings? Compare and contrast what was happening in the arts with what was happening in the world of justice.

I think that the laws in the 20's was stupid. Black's and white's should've gotten along no matter if the race is different or not. Yes

I think that the justice administered was unfair to blacks, as well as "justice" turned and looked the other way due to KKK popularity in the south. Yes, I think that black communities were frightened by these killings because noone heard their side and they were just killed for no reason. The lynchings took place mostly in the south due to slavery and the Civil War. After the Civil War the Ku Klux Klan was highly popular in the south making it dangerous for African American communities to go on with life without being in fear of lynching. In the world of arts, black artists were getting popular in jazz and talked about in great ways, while at the same time the world of justice was unfair and turned its head instead of sticking up for the killings of blacks without a trial or hearing.

I think this is a very sad video. No human being should be treated like this. I think they would be intimidated. I know I would be. The primary location of the lynching’s would be in the southern states. The arts showed the style of the women. As the years go on things begin to change in the hair style and fashion. In the world of justice its shows how the black people where poor and treated unfairly.

The justice in the 1920's was horrific. I think the black community was scared of the lynchings. They would be stupid not to. They were terrible. Lynchings happened a lot in the south were people blamed their money issues on the newly freed slaves. The arts were becoming more and more popular that everybody loved. They became household names. However the world of justice was not popular unless you were white. Blacks were treated unfairly and lynching also became a household name.

The treatment in the 1920's were extrmely unfair, and to horrific to put into words. The black community were afraid of the lynchings, but they shouldn't of had to be. This treatment was very unfair. It mostly took placed in the south, because thats where the primary slavery took place. The arts showed the style of the hidden people co ming out into the world through art.

I don't think there was justice in the 20's. I think that the black comunity was probably very intimidated, the primary location of the lychings being in the south. The arts back then were always improving, always exciting, the sense of justice in people on the other hand was about as bad as my brother's fashion sense, and I doubt you can get much lower than that.

The justice was terrible in the 20's. That time was great for some and horrendous for others. Lynchings were a constant fear to the black community. These were mostly in the south because the north didn't approve of segregation as much. The 1920s were great in the fact that it was a huge time with art. Many people were creating new types of art and that part of the world was flourishing unlike the black community which was extremely mistreated and degraded.

I think that the justice administered in the 20's was very unfair, especially to blacks. Yes, I most definitely think that the black community was intimidated by the lynchings. They must have been extremely worried. Lynchings occurred more frequently in the Southern States.

"Justice" in the 1920s was horrible. Murder is not to be classified as justice, it is to be classified as the takeing of an inocent life. I don't moarn for any members of the Ku Klux Klan tha where killed. I never relized that somuch happened during this time period. I thought that it was an uneventful decade, but I've learned more about the 1920s watching that video than any teching about it through my life.
