classrooms of the past

http://www.teachertube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=6b9478bb0512f0a43028

After viewing the above video, comment on the videographer's purpose in creating this video. How are your current class rooms like the classes that are viewed in the past? How are they like those in the future? Compare and contrast this video with the " Did You Know?" video? Would you like to plan and shoot a video which would describe your current class rooms? What music could you use in your video?

All right! First comment!
---End of 'not part of my answer'---

I think the videographer's purpose of making the video was to let students know how far we've come since the old days. It puts things in perspective. I think current classrooms are different in past ones in that they are more high-tech. I prefer old classrooms to new ones because new ones are usually completely white and really cold. It just doesn't have the same feeling of a classroom with a wooden floor and cracked paint amongst other things. I think this video was almost exactly like the "Did You Know?" Video. It differs in that there were a few different facts, and it talked about classrooms. I wouldn't exactly want to shoot a video like this; Our new classrooms aren't too special. If I did, though, I would set it to some upbeat music from my favorite band, Phish.

In conclusion, I think the video had a lot of information, but not much about classrooms. I wouldn't want to make a video like this but I would if I could set it to music of my choice.

I think the person who made this video was thing to show us a very good pointer in life. It showed how much technology has changed over the years. Also how people are trying to get us ready for the future and what it has in store for us even if we students don't know or care what the future will be like. Our classes are similar to those in the past because both are teaching us about things we will need to know we're adults. They’re also getting us ready for all the new technologies that are in the future. I'm not sure what the future will be like but I guess school will be the same but way more high-tech. In the "Did You Know?" video and this video both show us how technology is progressing more and more as years go by. They are different because the "Did You Know?" video it showed a couple different facts and things that we students wouldn't know till it happened. I guess would like to make a video about current class rooms because......well I'm not very sure way. I would play some kind of exciting music to get peoples attention so they won’t fall asleep.

I think the videographer's purpose in creating this video was none other than his desire to express what he feels about the past, present and the future of classrooms. The Did You Know Video was very similiar to this video because they showed how things change and how they are going to change. This video was different from the "Did You Know" video because this video talked more about how things were in the past and the "Did you Know Video" talked more about the future.
My classrooms are like the ones in the past in that my classrooms still have the same physical features such as; desks, tables and chairs. Teachers are still at the head of the classroom but I think in future classrooms there will be more student based learning. Classrooms will center around labs, computers, and electronics. There probably will not be books, pencil or paper in classrooms of the future. The cause for them will be eliminated. Students will use electronic dictionaries more and more instead of the hard back dictionaries.
I would not like to shoot a video about my current classrooms because I don't think it would be exciting for others to watch. If I were assigned to shoot a video I would use music and no words but the music would be electronic and futuristic sounding.

The videographer's purpose was to tell teachers and students that learning is important for the students future. To learn in class, teachers and students have to work together to make the class successful. The videographer wanted to say that the classroom is not a playroom. The classroom is a place to prepare us,students, for the difficult jobs in the future to help out our nation.

The old classroom had no computers or solar-powered calculators, now we have lots of electronics to help us learn more in the thirty-six weeks when we are in school. Both past and present classrooms have the same physical features such as desks, chairs, shelves.Probably in the future classroom, they won't have paper or textbooks. They might each have a laptop to type and have a online textbook.

This video was alot like the "Did You Know?" video.some of the facts were repeated. The video I just watched was more about the past classrooms than the "Did You Know" video.

I would love to video-tape a video about the current classrooms. It would be lots of fun to show classes of the future the video that we taped in the past.It could show them how learning in the classroom is very important for every students future. To make the video less boring or repetitive,I would add some up-beat music to it.I would probably put a different song every two or three facts.

The videographer's purpse in making this video was to tell students and teachers that it's time to kick learning into high gear! That we need to make a better world. The classrooms in the past didn't have any technology to help them learn like we do now. They were more dull. They didn't have any cool playground equipment like we do now. And for the most part you had to share a classroom with other grades!! Talk about one busy-bee teacher! :)

The "Classrooms of the Past" video was comparing past to present. While the "Did You Know?" video was just stating facts. And some of the facts in the "Did You Know?" video were repeated in "Classrooms of the Past" video.

Yes! I would love to video-tape a video. I think it would be a lot of fun telling the kids in the future about us kids in the past.
The music? Well I would pick music to match whatever we are saying, and I wouldn't play one song twice. Lots of different songs. Mostly it would be up-beat happy sounding songs. Those are the best.

My opinion is that the videographers purpose for making this video to help teachers prepare for more change in the classrooms. Also, that it is important to prepare your students for this change. If we think our classroom now is high-tech imagine how much more technology will be created. With how much change that has happened already, classrooms are not the same. Probably the only thing the same is that we learn, we sit at desks or tables, and we wear are clothes to school, or at least I hope so. In the future I can only imagine how much technology and change there will be. When my dad was in school they used wooden pencils, sat at wooden desks, got whipped or smacked with a ruler when they were bad, I don't think they had calculators at our age either, and they didn't have computers. Now our classroom is based on technology. Weeven have mechanical pencils.
This video was a lot like the 'Did You Know' video. It has a few different facts that depict classrooms today. Plus it had really bad music.
I would probably like to make a video like this. So that I can show how the classrooms have changed and be able to show it to classrooms of the future. I would also put better music on there or change the facts a little so it wasnt almost exactly like the 'Did You Know' vidoe. Gabby Tenney 7th

The photographer's purpose for making the video was to show us what classrooms looked like on the past. Although they weren't too much different.I think our current classrooms are similar to the ones in the picture because all classrooms are made up of the basics.Students sitting in desks, a chalk board(or a white erase board). Of course the teachers desk in the front of everyone else's. In the future I think classrooms will be way different then the one in the picture because technology is getting better everyday. This video and the "Did You Know" video were very much alike. They both had really interesting facts that I never knew. They had a lot of the same facts too!! Like the one that said if MySpace was a country it would be the 12 largest!! But this video was different in some ways too. Like this video showed some pictures. I thnk it would be fun to plan and shoot a video that describes our current classrooms. I really wouldn't know what music to use in the video. I would just let someone else choose.

Some of our classrooms have rows of chairs in them just like the ones long ago. But that's where the likeness of the two stop. We have only one grade in each classroom. The classrooms of the past had several grades in one classroom. Many classrooms are found in the technolgy wing of most schools. Schools are larger and have to provide more knowledge than the classrooms of the past.
The classrooms in the past as well as our classrooms now are trying to prepare us for jobs. Like the video said, most of the jobs for our generation are still not known. The classrooms from the past knew most of the jobs that were going to be available.
This video and the "Did You Know?" video both talked about future technology and its importance in our lives.
I would like to plan and shoot a video on our classrooms. It would show all of our daily technology skills that we use. I would use music that provided a "exciting" feeling. The future is "open" to my generation. The possibilities are endless. katie nestor

I thought that this video shows a lot of differences between the past, present, and future. Most of the classrooms in the past were much smaller than todays. In the past, people have done many different techniques for learning. In schools today, we also have lots of forms of technology such as computers, franklins, calculators, smart boards, projectors, ect.

In the recent "DID YOU KNOW?" video, it told us many facts about how China will be the number one english speaking country. Also, that if myspace were a country it would be the 12th largest in the world!! That is pretty amazing.

Most of the facts stated in the "DID YOU KNOW?" video were also in this video, but the "CLASSROOMS OF THE PAST" video had some pictures to show more details about the facts in this video.

I would probably like to shoot a video that describes our current classrooms, because in the future, whenever people want to know what the past was like, they could just watch the video. They would be able to see what our classrooms were like compared to theirs. As for the song I would use during the video, it would probably have to be something exciting, entertaining and it would have to have a relationship with what the movie is showing! I think the video talks about how children are not learning as well as they should. If children had more technology in their classroom's that they could relate to, then they would learn better and the U.S. would have might have a close number of honor students to the number of honor students that China has. Even though China is crowded and packed in like sardines, they have top notch grades that the U.S. can't even match up to, and the U.S. isn't near as crowded as China. We even have a higher income than they do. So how come China has better grades? It is because the U.S. children can't relate to some of the work and don't understand as well as they do television or I-pods. So if we upgrade our classrooms we will get better grades than we do now.

I think the videographer's purpose of the video is for kids to know what classrooms use to look like and what they may look like. I think it would be cool to shoot a video. The music would be new countrey for the video. The video is not the same as the "Did You Know" video.

THe videographer's purpose in creating this video is to show how much has changed in the past 40 years in technology that is. Our current classrooms are different then the ones back then by the way they are shaped and the computers that are in them, the things that have changed ever so slightly like the blackboard turned into the whiteboard then turned into the Smartboard. The classrooms of today may look change dramtically here in the next 10 years mainly because of technology and our uses for it. I would't mind shooting a video, I think the picture that would describe our classrooms of today would be of the students sitting at their desks working at a computer or working in a group that deals with lots of technology. I could use Queen for my music,Cause their awesome.

I think the videographers purpose of creating the video was to show the evolution of classrooms and to show how far we've come from one room schoolhouses to twenty room schools. The only thing that was the same was the desks, and sometimes schools use blackboards. Our schools today, well our school actually, uses marker boards. I didnt see anything about futuristic classrooms. The video was almost the same as Did you know video. If i could make a video for describing classroom I would because the classrooms in WFMS are like hospital rooms, cold and white. The music I would use for my video(if i was gonna make one)is "Another Brick In The Wall" by Pink Floyd.

The video was packed with facts I didnt know, but about other countries education. Nothing about classrooms in there. The only thing I would like about making a video is putting music in it.

I think the video has a good influence on the classrooms of the past and present day. The video shows how far we have come in the years with education.
The old classrooms were very old looking compared to the ones we have now. Also, the old classrooms had old decks that were falling apart, the walls and floors were cracked.
The new classrooms are very soothing and bright. They also make you want to be in school, because they make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. The new ones also have more high-tech suplies available for our access.
So over all I think I'd rather be in a new classroom than to be in the old ones. George Corbin 7pd

I think the person that made this video wanted to show people how much technology is now and how it was in the past. As I said in the last "Did you know?” I had no clue how many people lived in China and how many smart people in China there were. I knew there was a good many but not that many!! It's really cool that now there are iPods that hold 15,000 songs and can fit in your pocket, and in the past people used the really big Jukeboxes that weighed 430 pounds and only held 576. The classrooms that they used to have looked very crowded. This video and the previous video were very similar too. The videographer's purpose in creating this video is to show the people how the present and the future are the same and different. The present will use some of the same technology that we have today. In the future we may still use ipods, mp3 players, and some of the computers. The videos purpose is to let us know what is and will be going on now and in the future.

The classes are the same in many ways. They are about the same size, except they had all of the grades in one classroom in the past. Now the past has changed to the future and we have changed too. In the future, the classrooms will probably be about the same size, if not bigger.

The classrooms in the future are going to be a lot more technologically advanced. There will probably be more technology than there kids in class. That will make everything more difficult.

The " Did You Know " video told a lot of the same things as this one. My space would be a very larger country if it were one, China will be the number one English speaking country in the world. This video a better way to learn about how the future is in our hands and we need take advantage of it.

I would like to shoot a video to show what our classrooms are like now. That would be fun to do. People of the future will enjoy it if they would ever get to watch it.

Any kind of music would be fine as long as it isn't the music that was played at the beginning of this video. Girlfriend is probably the song I would choose. I would also use Copacabana. I like that song.

I think that the classroom in the past are similar to the ones now and in the future because they still use desks and books and teach everything by knowledge but in the future students will be using laptops and wont be using pencils and the teacher wont even teach the class because computers will teach the students everything. It is very interesting but kind of frightening because they are teaching us to do jobs that haven’t even been invented yet. The purpose of making this video was to inform the students that when they get in college that the things that they are learning today are going to be outdated. This video is just like the “The Did You Know” video because they both talk about the future and how everything is going to change but the did you know video did not talk about how it was in the past. I would like to plan and shoot a video about a topic like this about our current classrooms, our current classrooms may have new desks and materials, but also now have computers and smart boards which allow teachers and students to give presentations. This also makes teaching a lot easier job for teachers and learning a lot easier job for students. I would use varieties of motivational music to get students excited about learning.

I think the "Classrooms in the Past" video's purpose is to inform people how fast the world is changing. I think it also informs people how much classrooms are changing over the years. Classrooms are changing every year. Mrs.Constable even said her self
that the students last year didn't have to do an Etymology project. What students use in classrooms are changing also. We now have Franklins, but we had dictionarys last year. Everything is turning into technology. Our classrooms are still like those of older times. We still have to learn the basics: Reading, Math, Science etc. The methods in wich we learn and use those basic things in our lives are still the same in many ways, but how they teach them may not be. We still learn math and use it in our every day lives, but we may have not of learned it from a book. You could have learned it from a computer program. Everything in the classroom could very possibly be technology in the near future.
The video this week was alot like the video from last week. Last weeks video was more about global awareness. They both had alot of the same points. I think it would be fun to make a video about what we do everyday in Mrs.Constable's classroom.
It could have up tempo rock music like the band The Veronicas. We could compare what we do in our classroom to other schools.

I think the videographer's purpose in creating this video was to show how far we have progressed in the classroom and home atmospheres. Our present day classrooms are like those of the past in the sense that of course you learn in both and both prepare you for the future. In the old classrooms they were probably trying to prepare the students for present day, while present day is preparing us for whatever might lay ahead. Both present day and old classrooms are also different. For example they have different technologies to work with, different classroom layouts, and different conditions to work under. Today's classrooms are probably similar to, and different than future classrooms in the same ways classrooms of the past and present were different from and similar to each other. This video was the same as the "Did You Know" video in the aspect that both videos looked into our world's progress. They were different because they looked into different parts of the world's progress. Yes, I would like to plan and shoot a video that would describe our current classrooms. I would use current day, upbeat music that doesn't use foul language in our video. In conclusion I don’t really think the video talked as much about classrooms as I was lead to believe(although it still did talk about them), but I also think it had a lot of good information.

I think the videographer's purpose in creating this video was to show how different technology has changed our classrooms today. For example, now we can carry 15,000 songs in your pocket.

There are some similarities between the classrooms in the past and future. We still sit at desks (tables), with the teachers teaching in front of the classroom. We still have rules that we have to follow. But alot has changed ! We now have access to computers, utilizing the internet which plays a big role in school.

Both videos talked about the past, present, and future. They each also discussed how children are learning to solve problems that are not yet problems, jobs that don't exist, and technology that is not invented.

It would be interesting to shoot a video of our classrooms now and compare them to classrooms from the past. The music that I would choose would be totally different from the oldies music. Maybe, some pop and rap. Our "slang" has definately changed! For example, no one says rad, hip or groovy anymore.

I feel the purpose of this video is to show us how far we have come in our world. Our classrooms today are very different then they were many years ago. We still have desks to sit at, and some teachers still use their chalkboards, and many teachers also use text books. Now we use computers to learn. We look things up and do our homework on them. We still use pencil and paper for most assingments and tests. Teachers are trying to prepare us for what will come in the future. Things change over years. Technology has grown so much in our world today. Kids play video games on T.V and the computer instead of board games like in the past. This video is a lot like the "Did You Know" video because they both are showing how we use technology for everything. The only difference I see is where this video is talking about the classrooms of the past, present, and future. The "Did You Know" video did not. I would like to shoot a video of my classroom at the end of the year. It will be my last year at WFMS. I would use the song "Friends Forever".

I think the videographers purpose was to inform us on how much our world has changed.

Our current classrooms are hardly like those in the past the only thing the same is that there is a teacher, students, desks/chairs , and people who want to learn. Our classroom is the classroom of the future, With the Smart Board "The chalkboard of the future" it makes it very alike to the future classrooms.

This video i thought was more interresting. I really think it is more fun to watch than the other one. The music was more cathy is what I think kept me paying attention.

I would love to shoot my own video!!

Ms Constable, I am glad my video had me stumble across your blog. This is a cool assignment--It is great to see kids thinking about their future in school. My actual purpose was simply to "tell" the did you know story in my own words for a conference presentation for my state EdTech conference. I used YouTube (and then TeacherTube) as a way to model the tools that kids today are using. I never DREAMED that people all around the world would view it and have opinions about my work. I guess that really proves that our classrooms really ARE connected and very different from classrooms of the past.
My original presentation has grown into a TON of resources for teachers and students. You should check them out as you reflect on your future in your school. You are very lucky to have a teacher that challenges you to think!!!!

The video seems alot like the "did you know" clip. Both were most likely created to show just how much we've grown over the past few decades, and how far behind the other countries we are. Our classrooms don't teach us that much and are still rather far behind on technology, the same as in the classrooms of the past. We do use at least some technology like that of the future classroooms. The vidoes are both very similar, they discussed our students in comparison to China's and India. Personally I wouldn't want to do a video for our class, but if I did I'd put some of the current pop music

I think the videographer's purpose is to show us how the world has changed from the past and the future, like for example Shakespeare had 24,000 words to work with, while Eminem had over 1,000,000. The classrooms from then and now are the same because the have desks, blackboards, something to write on and write with, and teachers who devote they're time and made it they're career to teach kids. I think tomorrows learners will have probaly the same lessons, but may be different. They both said Myspace would be the 12 largest country in the world. The "Classrooms of the Past" video had sort of different information than "Did you Know?" I'm not really sure about planning to shoot a video that would describe our classroom. The reason the author made this is to show us how far we have progressed in the last few years. Really the only way classrooms of today are like ones of the past are that both have desks, and you learn in both of them. This video was alot like did you know because it had alot of the same facts. I thought I was experiancing deja vu when first saw it. but there were a few differences because the music was different and it told more facts about the past than "did you know", although neither had very many. It would be really fun to make a video of our classroom but it would have to be funny because I hate long boring videos. If I could put music to it I would put The Killer's song On Top to it.

P.S. I hope we do make a movie.

I think the photographer's made this video to show us kids how good we have it. For example we can carry around music with which weighs 5.5 ounces compared to the old days we would have to carry around over 400 pounds. We can also talk instantly by text messaging, emailing, and calling people on wireless phones. Another thing we have is more entertainment such as video games, movies, and computers. We also have faster transportation such as modified cars, trains, subways, and airplanes. People live longer now because we have better medicine, better surgeries, and healthier more nutritious food to eat.

I think the videographer's purpose for creating this video was to inform. It was trying to tell us how much life has changed from the time when they took the picture of the classroom we saw at the beginning. I think life had changed tremendously since the time that they took that picture. We've come out with so many things to make life easier like cell phones and i-pods. I think that the "Did you know" video and this video were a lot alike. I mean they were trying to inform us about the same things. They even used some of the same sentences. I really wouldn't like to inform people of the current classroom as much as the late classroom because we're living now, and we're doing the things people are saying that's happening in classrooms, but we have a vauge idea on how the classroom life was like in the late days.

The videographer's purpose in creating this video was to show us how times are changing in the classroom. Our current classrooms are not very similar to the classrooms from the past. Now we have either Smart Boards or dry-erase boards. Also, now-a-days we have more technology in the classrooms. I think instead of books, everything will be on a computer. Some teachers may possibly be replaced with computers, and other things of that nature. The "Did You Know" video is like this video because it gives you information. It's different because this video talks about classrooms, and this video is more comparing the past to the present, and future. No, I would not like to plan and shoot a video which would describe my current class room. Why I think that is because it shows how the past changes into the future. and we all know that are going to change at one point and time. i think that my classes are a little boit of past and future becuase some of my teacher like t techer like they did a while ago but then we use more technologhy now like computers and overheads. I think that it would be fun to do a video of my classes and i think i would use muse from the 1980's because thanks a while ago but not still music i know and i also thimk because i have both moderen an d not moderen classes.

I think that the purpose of this video is similar to the "Did You Know" video. Except this video had dove into the past as well as the future. Its so cool that we have almost instant everything. Istant messaging, istant web searches, instant communication, and a whole lot of other stuff. We also have mp3 players that hold 15,000 songs and back in the old days jukeboxes that weigh over 400 pounds. I thought about what the videographer did to make it the same as the video "Did You Know" ,and the differences so it wouldn't be the same as the "Did You Know" video. To end my blog i thougt that the video didn't have near as much information as the "Did You Know" video.

I think the videographer's purpose was to tell us how he feels about how things have changed over the years.I think all the tools I have to work with in school, such as,computers, electronic dictionaries, etc.,are awesome
and allow us to learn so much more. The classrooms basically have the same concepts, but the classes back then had a lot more students then ours do today. The classrooms of the future will probably be really high tech.I can't really imagine them being any better than the ones at WFMS.Who really can though?I mean, when people first got cars, they were the first ways of transportation, and people were just happy not to be walking. People back then just thought it couldn't get much better. Now cars have changed so much. It's crazy! So with the classrooms,I'll just have to wait and see.I thought this video was similar to the "Did You Know" video, but not exactly the same. The facts about China and their students were basically the same.I knew a lot of people had Myspaces, but I didn't know it could be the 12th largest country!I think it would be cool to describe our current classrooms in a video. For my music,I would like to get music that people would be singing along to!That would be cool!Megan DeJong 8th period

I think the videographer's purpose in creating this video was to show us how different we learn now than our grandparents, and maybe even parents, learned when they went to school. Not much is the same as it used to be except for the students, teachers, and the learning. Even our classrooms have changed! There is so much technology that we use now that it has changed most of the teaching/learning techniques.

I think it would be fun to plan and shoot a video which would describe our current classrooms. We could show how we use our flash drives, write blogs, and other upcoming technology projects. I would probably use music from the past when I show the past part of the video and then a song that talks about change for the future part.

The video was right, our teachers ARE preparing us for new jobs, technologies, and problems that we don't even know exist yet.

I think that the purpose to this video was to show how education is advancing. It is astonishing that our educational technologies are advancing so quickly. Quicker than some people are even growing. The video made you think that if the world can advance that far starting from the early 1900s, that they could advance faster and faster with each passing year.

I noticed that alot of this material was stated in the "Did You Know" blog. But both of the videos dealt with basically the same thing... TECHNOLOGY! And now to my conclusion....As my older brother says "If you can understand and comprehend with technology, then you can understand the world."

Unknown said...

My classroom today is far more advanced in technology then before probably by the time our kids come it will most likely have technology that will make ours look as junky as those old music boxes. Most likely that when they go to school is that we would probably be very lost with all the technoligy advances.

After watching the video "Classrooms of the Past", I think that our classrooms should have more money invloved so that they can buy more techonogoly for the rooms that need it. Students need experience for when they go to collage and high school.
I would like to shoot a video of our school with Oprah because she is really cool and mabye she could donate money to the school so we can buy the technology that we need. The classrooms right now are not very cool We need a smart board, a dana lab, labtops, projectors, to show technology to students. We also need a set of palms so students can do their school work on there and do what ever they need to for their home work.
The music I would want to use in my video would be scray because we could have a story teller come to our school and tell us scary stories all night long. That would make a terrific movie for us to post on UTUBE or Teacher Tube.

I think the videographer's purpose in creating this video is showing how the classroom used to be, really not that much technology. Now almost every school has a lot more technology, as in: computers, intercoms, projectors, calculators, franklins, smart boards, ect. The videographer wanted you to see how much we have improved technologically in only this amount of time, and how much more advanced everything will be in the future. My classroom now is like the ones in the past because we still learn in them and we still have desks. The older ones are like the ones in the future because they still have similar desks and learning methods. I think this video was like the “Did you know” video because it showed some technology that we have now and didn’t in the past. It also showed a lot of very valuable information on both of them. I’m not sure if I would want to shoot and make a video of my classroom, because I really don’t think my classrooms are exciting. I love the older ones, the wood all around the class room and the cracks in the floorboards; it’s just a better environment for kids (at least me) to get an education. In my video if I were to shoot one I would probably have music that I think would be good for the part but at the same time more recent and exciting, I think people would enjoy the movie more.

Well, I think the vidoegraphers purpose on this great video was to show like a time line on how school and technology has played a major role in changing our classroomse better and for the worse. The classes in the past are much less high-tech and advanced then the present day class room. In the future, childrens class work will be made alot simpilar and faster for the simple fact that we will have much more advanced technology. The did you know video was also very much alike this video because it was telling us about technology and how advanced is getting, which happens to be very similar to this video's point. The did you know was only saying the good things about technology, yet this video was throwing in some bad things. Yes, i would like to make a video of our classroom ancd possibly compare it to old classroom videos and maybe people n future days will compare thiers to ours.Modern day music should be used in this video because it is modern day mucis and modern day technology. I think the videographer's purpose for making this video is to inform you that life and life in the classroom now is way different then it was in the past. The other reason I think the videographer’s choice for making this video was to show some facts that people normally don’t know. The classrooms in the past are like the ones now because we still use some of the same learning methods. I think that the present classrooms are more like the classes of the future because technology will be used now and in the future. They are also alike because we are being prepared for a lot of new things in the present and future.

This video was very similar to the “Did You Know?” video because it gave you the same feeling that the world is changing and it won’t stay the same. I was also like “Did You Know?” because it had a lot of the same facts. I t was different from “Did You Know because some facts were different, and it talked about classrooms. I don’t know if I could make a video about my current classroom because I’ve never really thought about it. If I did have to make a video though I would use a long guitar solo so it isn’t boring and keeps you alert and awake.

I think that the vidoegrapher's purpose in creating this video is to show who the world is changing. My current classrooms are like the ones in the video because we have computers and a lot of the different technological things that we have. They are like the ones in the furture by having computers that are smarter then the human brain. This video compared to the "Did You Know?" video is that this video had a lot of the same point of veiws of the "Did You Know?". They way that they are different is because they have different point of veiws also. I would love to shoot a video that would be awesome. The kind of music I would like to see in the video would be all kinds that pertain to the movie. Taylor Gross 2nd prd.

I think that the videographer’s purpose of this video is to show students what school was like in the past. It was much simpler back in the one room school house. I think it also shows that kids are being lazy and taking education for granted. The only comparison between classrooms of the past and now is that they both have desks. I think the classrooms are alike in the future because books will be used and students will have desks. I think this video was a lot like the “Did you know” video because it used many of the same facts. It was different because this video didn’t talk about technology as much as the other one. I would like to shoot a video that shows off our classrooms technology. I would use some sort of upbeat music, so that the video would be interesting and keep the viewer’s attention.

I think that the videographer’s purpose for making this video is to teach us about how we have advanced in the classroom and our world. Also, how we are alike and different compared to the classes of the past. The videographer stated that there were more honor students in China than we have children, other than saying there are more kids there, that they maybe more advanced when using technology that they are gaining more honor students.

We are like the classes in the past in various ways. We still have the same purpose, which is to prepare students for the future. How we are different also varies. We have more devices to use and help us achieve our goals. In the past classes may not even of had text books. Compared to the past we are more advanced in numerous ways. For example, we have Iphones, Blackberries, and more that give us almost everything we need to answer questions and do much more. And it can fit into your pocket which is very important for people on the go.

The future classes and our current classes are also similar. We both use and will use computers and other technologies to help us learn. In the video where it described we are being prepared for problems that don’t even exist yet; we will know most of those problems in the future, and find new ones that we will have to prepare for. But in the future we may make even larger advancements in technology. And most of them will be in our classrooms doing what they have been doing for along time, preparing us.

This video is almost the same as the “Did You Know” video. They both declare some of the same facts. For example, if Myspace was a country it be one of our largest, which would mean it’s population would be compared to our population, China’s, and India’s. After watching this video and the “Did You Know” video I think that our class should make a video to post on teacher tube. We should use younger music. Some with actual lyrics and songs we know to make people our age more interested in what we are trying to tell them in our video.

I think the videographer’s purpose of making this video was to inform us of how our classrooms have changed. Also how we are being taught for things that don’t exist yet is kind of a weird thing to think about. How do you teach someone to do something or use something that you don’t even know is there yet.

Our classrooms today are not a whole lot like the classrooms of the past. The classrooms today only have one class for one or two grades in one room. In the past they had one classroom for all the classes from first grade to eighth grade or more.

The classrooms in the future probably will be a little bit different from classrooms now. In the future we might just sit at computers and do everything on them all day and if something goes wrong then the teacher would have to come over and fix it. There wouldn’t be much interaction between teachers and students. I think I like the classrooms now better than I would in the future.

This video and the “Did You Know” video are very similar. They both let you know about the changes being made in our world today. Each video had a couple different facts. In them but they are both very informational. I don’t think I would want to make a video which would describe the current classroom. It is just full of desks and computers and books. I don’t think it would really be a very interesting video. If I did do that though I would put a song in it that is lively so it would be more fun to watch.

Current classrooms are so much different now than those shown in the video. The classrooms of a hundred years ago prepared children for their careers ahead, which are the same concept of as ours, but the tools and technology are very different. Classrooms in the past prepared students for careers where technology was not involved. So classrooms really had no need for technology. If classrooms one hundred years ago had the technology we have today, the world would be a much different place right now. Inside classrooms of the past, all students used were pencil, paper, and textbooks. The teachers taught lessons on a chalkboard. Now, teachers can use the Internet right in front of their class using smart boards and projectors. In addition, the fact that we can do this assignment while sitting in the comfort of our home and turn it in by hitting a send button is a huge contrast to the one room school house that students would have to walk miles to get to.
This video had very similar views to the "Did you know?" video. Both videos show the world is changing and growing at an amazingly fast rate. Almost everything or idea in the world is growing or changing. If the world can find good uses to all the changes, the world will be a very easy place to live in. I believe that in the future, most jobs involving manual labor will be replaced my machines. The "Did you know" video was on more broad topics, the world as a whole. Where as this video focused on the classrooms of America.
I would like to shoot a video of my current classroom. West Fairmont Middle School is a school where technology is found in every room of the building. In every classroom there is Internet access, which opens up millions of possibilities for students and teachers. I would describe the average classroom as modern and technical. The music I would use in the video would catch a person’s attention but doesn't distract from the point of the video.
Classrooms of today have come a long way in a short period of time. Students are being prepared for hi-tech jobs. Classrooms in the future are going to continue to advance. They need to keep up with technology so the students will be prepared for the future.

I think the videographer's purpose was to show students how the past, present, and future is changing so fast. The classrooms are similar in the past, except now we have all of these new technology, and back then all they had really was blackboards, and desks. Are classes now are going to be very similar to the classes in the future, but I think in the future there will be a lot more technology then we have today. The "Did You Know" video is alike in many ways. Each has to deal with how everything is changing day by day. They both might have different facts, but they each tell us how the world is changing. No, I really wouldn't want to shoot my own movie, because I really think are classrooms aren't very amazing but if I did I would use some type of music to get peoples attention.

Both videos were shocking! Many of the facts were unbelieveable. I really thought it was cool that the videographer of this video commented in our class blog. Kristin Hokanson said that she used You Tube and Teacher Tube as resources. She said she wanted to TELL the "Did You Know" story in her own words. I think she put it in a better way for kids to understand. She was using it for a presentation that she was doing. I am going to check out the resources that she put on her blog.
Classrooms in the past were like our classrooms because we use books, paper, pencils, and we have homework. Many teachers assign chapters to read and questions to do. Classrooms in the future have computers, white boards, videos, and a lot more technology. We are lucky to have so many different things. Schools are very different from when my grandparents went to school. The videos have the same information, but the classroom of the past has more updated pictures and music. I would really like to shoot a video with today's music.

I really thought the video was very educating. I feel that the videographer's purpose, or reason of creating this video was to inform us that we've came a long way from the past. I think that this video contained a lot of good information.
It taught me about things that I didn't know before, but was curious about in the past. I thought it made some very good points also. I strongly agree with this video because classrooms presently are like totally different then the ones from the past. Ok, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the classrooms that we have today, but personally, I think they make kids, well, "lazier". I mean like the classrooms from the past kind of "made" the children do their own work: no calculators, no Franklin's, no computers, they did this all in their head and by hand. I mean, face it,we have definitley been "spoiled" by high-tech items that basically do ALL the work for us and most likely, and sad to say this, but in the past people were probably smarter than we are today. We can't always rely on technology to be there for us, because eventually, at some point in time, we will have to do our own work!
So in conclusion, I enjoyed this video for many various reasons and I feel that it pointed out a lot of intresting and educational facts.

The 21st Century has changed so much since the early days. It’s hard to believe that some of the things we need most now never excised back then.
I think its neat how they are preparing children for jobs that yet don’t even excised.
This Video is very good to show some facts that some people would have never guess happened.
Yet Our Classes are Similar to the Classes of the Past Because of the Fact they are there to do one thing and that is to teach children and adults, and help then built a brighter future.
I think this videographer's purpose was to show young kids and adults how much thing happen in a amount of time.
What I mean is it shows how for Inventors came to get us the education we need.
I think that all the video needed was some different music cause this music was a little boring.
I would have used a more upbeat music to keep you awake and energetic.
This Video Over all taught me a lot. I’m sure it did a lot of other people to.

The videographer’s purpose in this movie was to show how many things have changed since the time period in the photo. The class rooms now are more advanced than they were in the photo. While the class rooms in the past have chalk boards, globes, and encyclopedias in the rooms, we now have digital dictionaries, projectors, four computers and a television per room.

Our present class rooms still have some of the same features as seen in the video. We still have desks, books, paper, pencils, maps, book cases and teachers. But all of these things have advanced since then.

Classes in the future still may have some of the same things in them as they did in the past, but many things might advance even more. The future classes may still have desks, maps, and teachers, but the books may be replaced with computer programs, all work may be done on lap top computer instead of with paper and pencils. Classes in the future will advance as the time period around it does.

This video was the same as the video “Did You Know ?”, because it talked about the populations all over the world. In the video “Did You Know ?”, they talked about video games, myspace, computers, and music that are occurring at this time, but I the video “Classes of the Past” did not. The reason for this is due to the fact that none of these things existed at that time. This is one of the main things that are different in the two videos.

I would not like to make a video about the current class rooms, because not much action takes place in a classroom. In this case the video may not catch the audiences attention in the way that it should. If I had to make a video, it would have current music in it, that is appropriate for the class, in order to try to hold the attention of the class.

I think it was obvious that the videos purpose was to show how technology through the years has made life so much easier. I don't think I would be able to last 3 days back in the day. It made me realize how we take everything we have today for granted.

I noticed there were a lot more students in the classroom then now. Some things haven't changed in school. For an example, they all used desks, books, and faced the teacher while she taught. Some things that will never changed in the future is our need to learn. Learning prepares us for our future.

In my own opinion I like the "Did You Know?" video better. I liked all the information it taught me. The videos were alike because the classrooms of the past repeated a lot of the same facts that the previous video had.

I think it would be cool to shoot a video of our classrooms today so students of the future can watch and see how much things has changed. I would use a song that is popular today and that relates to the video. It would be either R&B or hip-hop.

I think the video is right about the fact that teachers have a hard time teaching us for jobs that aren't even invented yet. I also think that it doesn't matter what the classroom looks like or how much technology it has, as long as we still learn what we need to learn. I don't think it would have been easier in the classroom shown in the black and white photograph because technology makes everything easier.

The videographer's purpose in creating this video was to show the difference in the technology in the classrooms in the past to the present. Are current class rooms are completely different than the ones in the. Are current classrooms are high-tech but dull and the past classrooms had less technology but they were colorful and full of spirit. This video reminds me of Miller how it was old but filled colors and spirit. The classrooms in the future are probably going to be way different then the classrooms in past and present. The "did you know video" shared alot of the same facts and also talked about 21st century tecnology. The “classrooms of the past" talked about the growth of technology in the classroom and "did you know" talked about how the new technology is affecting are world. Yes I would like to shoot a video about my current classroom it would be very fun and interesting. As a student I think the most interesting thing in school is to use technology to do work. The music I would use in my video is a song that started slow to show how slow technology was progressing in the past. Then it would begin to get fast to show how fast the technology growing. Then it would it even faster to show how fast it’s going grow in the future.

Both videos are very interesting for teachers, students, and parents. The first video had a lot more facts. The second video had more pictures and explained it so that younger students could understand it. It showed Ipods, Play Stations, and cell phones. It said that students of today are a lot different than the students in the past. The classroom of the past had a lot more students in it. There were different grade levels in one room. They usually just had one teacher like today. They used desks, books, paper, pencil, and chalkboards. They also had teachers lecturing and giving assignments. The classrooms of today have Edline to show parents and students grades. Teachers give assignments on the computer. They send e-mail to parents and students. When my parents were in school they had to use encyclopedias to write reports. Now, we just go to the internet and do a Google search and we get a ton of information. I think that it would be really exciting to make a video. I would use a lot of different types of music and artists.

I think the videographer's purpose was to show students and teachers how much technology has grown. Our classrooms now are far more advanced than those from the past, but they have some similarities. Future classrooms will still be the same in some ways, because we will still use technology.

I liked the "Did You Know?" video better than this one, because it seemed as if there was more information in it. Some of the information in the "Classrooms of the Past" video was also in the "Did You Know?" video.

I think it would be fun to shoot a video in our classroom. We could show the Smart Boards, Computers, Franklins, and even show the thumb drives that some of the students bought in order to make learning easier. A song that we could use in the video is the chorus of AYO Technology, by 50 Cent. It is a popular song that has to do with technology. Shooting a video would be fun and it would be a good learning experience.

The videographer's purpose was to show us the difference between past and present classrooms and also the technology.
They are in common because they have desks, teachers, chairs, books and etc. The difference is that they don't have all of the technology that we have today.
Classrooms of the future will be different because they will have many more items of technology. Some classrooms may not even have a teacher.
The "Did You Know" video had some things in common with the "Classrooms of the Past". They used a lot of facts such as we are currently preparing students for jobs that don't yet exist. Using technology that has yet to be invented...in order to solve problems we don't even know are problems.
There are, also, many differences "Classrooms from the Past" talks about the past and present and how classrooms have changed.
Yes, I would like to plan and shoot a video which would describe the current classrooms. It would give me the opportunity to show how our classrooms are today and that would allow them to compare and contrast them with their current classroom. I would play all sorts of music that is current.
What did I think of the movie? I liked the movie because it gave me a look into the past. I thought the comment in the movie "...teach them...the way they learn best". I think it is interesting that they are preparing students for the future by introducing them to technology that is currently being developed to help solve problems that don't necessarily exist.

I think the purpose of the video was to inform kids about our world compared to the world that our ancestors lived in. One way that our world is different are the classrooms. The classrooms of today have many supplies they need and more. They also have better facilities and workspaces. The older classrooms might not have the supplies they need (this happens today). They all so might have more grades in a tighter space then we have in a period.

This video was a lot like the "did you know" video. This video had more facts about classrooms and more pictures. It had less verity than the "did you know" video. I also liked the music better in the "did you know video". I would like to make a video as a class project. I think it would be fun and a break from regular class. We would use some country music like rascal flats or tim Mcgraw.

I think that the person who created this video was to show people how the classrooms of the past, present, and future are alike. I think the videographer is trying to let us know how much technology has changed in the classrooms. For example, during older times you would probably have to use the encyclopedia to find out information in a classroom. Now all you have to do is walk right over to a computer and look the answer up on goggle!

The present classrooms are alike to the classrooms in the past, not just different. For instance, most likely, students had to sit in desks or at tables just like we have to during school. Most likely, classrooms of the future will be using technology from this time, just like we still use technology from the past as well. For example, we still use calculators! The classrooms in the future are probably going to be a lot more technology advanced than we are today.

I think that the video “Did You Know” was very similar to the video “Classrooms of the Past”. Both videos had the same facts and information as one another. The only thing that is different on the “Did You Know” video was that it talks about past, present and future technology, and the video that I am writing about now, only talked about present and future technology.

I think it would be fun to shoot my video of the classrooms, or even one of my classes! Then after someone watched it they could compare and contrast my video and see the differences between their classroom, and ours. By using the kind of music I listen to, I think that it would show what kind of music we listened to, if anyone watches the video I would make in the future! I would maybe try to use different types of popular music, so people won’t think we listened to just on song.

I think that the videographer's purpose of making this video was to show us how much technology has changed our lives. I also believe that his/her's purpose was to show what the world was like before technology. Our current class rooms are like those in the past by having the same basic standard class room techniques, such as a teacher, student, desks etc.. I believe that our current class rooms will be out of date compared to future class rooms, much like those in the video. This video gave the same facts about different countries, China and India, much like in the "Did You Know" video. However, I believe that this video went more in depth about the classrooms and life in our world. Yes, I think it would be very interesting for us to shoot a video of our classroom and the technologies we use, and you never know a future class in the world may watch our video and compare their classroom to ours. I would mainly use rap and hip-hop music since those are the main music genres in the world today, but I would also use rock to express more feeling.

The purpose the this video is showing the class from the future a little something from the past. To show how much we have come from no tenology to where we use it everyday. Both classes are similar because teachers are still teaching us what we need to no for the furture.Learning is import to everyone so teach the students the way they no best through tecnology.
Alot of classes these days use tecnology just to help students understand. My favorite part of the video was about myspace something i could talk about, but what i did nt no was that it was the 12th lagest country!

I wouldn't like to shoot a video because I dont think anybody would care to watch it even me.

I think the videographer's purpose was to show viewers how much the typical classroom has changed.

Classrooms now are a lot a like the one shown in the video. Yet, they are very different. We still use books, paper, pencils, and desks just like they did in the movie clip.

I think our classrooms in the future will have a lot more technology, but it will be based on the technology we discovered. I think we will still have books, desks, teachers, and classrooms in the future.

The "Did You know?" video presented more information than this video. The information that was in this video was similar to the contents of the "Did You Know?" clip.

I would enjoy making a class video of our current technology. I think it would be fun, and students of the future can see what our classrooms are like. You never know our video could be shown in a classroom for an assignment just like this video.

The purpose for this video is to show people about how the style of teaching is changing. It tells us that we need to prepare for the future, because there are going to be so many more opportunities for us. In the beginning, it told us that China has more honor students than we have students, maybe if technology in teaching increased, we could gain more honor students.

Even though, the classes of the past that they showed us were a long time ago, the classes today are still somewhat alike. For now, we still have real people teaching us. In the future, we might not. They purpose is still the same, which is to teach and prepare students for the rest of their lives. Also, we still use books, but that could change over the years. The class rooms of the past did not have as much technology as we do, but they taught the same basic things.

There’s no knowing of what the future can hold. So it’s hard to tell what the similarities and differences are between now and later. We use computers now, and if they isn’t anything that will replace a computer until then, we might still be using computers then. Also, a teacher might not teach us in the future. Maybe instead a robot, or a computer. In the video they said that we are being educated about problems that don’t even exist yet, that may help us in developing technology for the future.

This video, and “The Did You Know? Video”, were very alike and different. For instance, both videos talked about china having more honor students, than we have students. Also if Myspace was a country, it would be the 12th largest, hat’s incredible. Both videos showed that the world is changing and at a very fast pace. This video, “Classrooms of the Past”, focused more on how things were, are, and will be taught.

I think the author created this video to inform us about how much classrooms have changed. All classrooms have the same layout:a chalkboard, desks, students, and a teacher. This video was similar to the "Did You Know" video. It informed us about how things are changing and stated some interesting facts. An i-pod weighing less than a pound holds thousands of songs today and a music player back then weighed about 400 pounds and only held 500 songs. I think that it would be fun to shoot a video about our classrooms today. We could use some current music such as rock or hip-hop. michael buonaiuto 7th prd.

I think the videographer was trying to tell us, how we've advanced since “classrooms of the past". Technology is in almost everything we do now. I think the videographer is right. Teachers should teach students the way they best learn. What if a student doesn't do well learning on a computer, or isn't good with technology? We rely on technology now, so much in classrooms, and everywhere else, some teachers wouldn't be able to teach those students. I also think the two movies are very alike. They both give the points, that China is way more advanced than we are. They're soon to become the number one English speaking country in the world. We've advanced in technology, but we haven't really advanced in how we're learning. I mean yes, a lot of kids are learning a lot, and we do have a lot of students who are honor students, but China has more honor students than we do students at all. I would like to make a video, but I don't really know what music I would choose. I guess it would depend on how the movie turned out.

The current classrooms are similar to those of the past in several ways. For one thing students still have to sit in desked some of the time. The classes are also similar in size.
Classrooms of the future will still be using some of today’s technology. Students will also still be being taught by teachers but not as much, because the 21st century learning skills will be capable of much more.

The videographer's purpose of this video was to inform people that classroom's are a lot different then they used to be. Some of my classrooms are like the past, but in other classes we use the computer and technology a lot. In the future classroom's will be very high tech, people probably won't even have books anymore. It will probably all be on the computer. This video was very similar to the Did You Know? video. It has a lot of the same facts. It would be pretty neat to film a video with the class, about our classroom. It would be a lot of fun. I really like the music in both of the videos. I would probably choose music like that. This was a very interesting video.

I think the video grapher of this video made it to inform us that we need to actually care about all the things in school that we learn, because they are preparing us for all the things in the future. Classrooms have come so far since back then, can you even imagine what this world could become .Our classrooms have some things in common with the old ones such as we still have text books, still sit in desks, and have teachers teaching us every day. Future classrooms would now have all laptops and let the kids have one for their selves, but of course we don’t have that yet. Also those classes will be filled with more modern aka up to date things that probably don’t exist yet. The video “Classrooms of the past” is almost like the video “Did you know”.
Classrooms of the past gave you more facts and added some pictures to the facts of “Did you know”. It also informed you about your future world and what things might happen. “Did you know” gave you a lot of interesting facts, but then when you saw “Classroom of the past” with those same facts but with pictures they brought that fact almost to life. I did like the idea for the video shooting thing I think it would a lot of fun! If I had to choose the music for it, it would probably be more modern.

I think the videographer's purpose of making this video was to inform us about the way we learn, how we learn these days, and how different the classrooms have changed for now and the past. In my opion I like our classrooms now. They maybe small but they look alot better and more decorative then the old days. I aslo like these classrooms better because we have computers and more technology that can help us learn faster and easier. Looking in books and dictionaries is probably better, but i relly don't want to look through all of that. In classrooms from along time ago had to look thruogh textbooks, and they had to write with pencils and paper. Now it is so much easier. Well we still do those three things, but only if we have to. Now we can get on the computer and get our work form there or instead of using pencil and paper we can just type it. I wold much rather have a the classrooms we have now then the old classrooms. I thought the "Did You Know" video was very similar in a way that they both talked about the same countries. It was also very different because this video was mostly about classrooms and technology. The "Did You Know" video didn't talk about that. I wouldn't shoot a video like this. I would make it have more modern music and make it more fun. I'm not saying it did make me learn because it did. It was just in a boring way. I learned alot from the video.

After viewing this video, I think the author's point was to inform people about how technology grows so rapidly and to show things are better/eaiser because of technology. For instance now if a child wants to learn or communicate they can just get on the internet and just either search it on a website or just get on A.I.M to talk to people instantly. In the older days they had to use mail or telegram which could take up to a month. Personally I think that the classrooms have changed alot because in the older days there would be grades K-8 in just one classroom and there way of finding information was using a dictionary. Today there is just one class (language or math etc) in a classroom and now all you have to do is go online and it is much easier and faster. The video "Did You Know" is alot alike to "Classrooms Of The Past". They both talk about China's population and that China has more honor role kids then we have people and that China is going to be the world most English speaking country in the world. It is a bit different because "Classrooms Of The Past" talks more about how technology is always getting better and "Did You Know?" talks more about global awareness , the world changing , and how technology is today. Personally I wouldn't like to shoot a video because I think it would take way to much time. If I did make a video I would have the music something modern, I'm not sure what though.

I think the main purpose in creating this video, was to show everyone the difference in the past's classrooms and today's classrooms.

Our present classrooms are similar to the past classrooms because we still use a lot of the same materials.

Today's classrooms are like the future classrooms because in the future we will probably still have to use pencil and paper for assignments.

This video and the "Did you Know" video are alike in many ways. For instance,They both shared alot of the same information.

I would like to pln and shoot a video which would descibe my current classrooms. In my video I would include that we use computers, overhead projectors, and smart boards.

I would use some kind-of future sounding music,so people will know that we are in the 21st century.

I think the meaning of the video is to teach us about how our classrooms are changing and how our technology is becoming so much more advanced than it once was. It is also telling us that if you don't become aware of what is happening in our world you will not be able to understand the true purpose of technology.
I also believe the video was similar to the "Did you Know" video because it talked about global awareness but this video talked about the future of classrooms. The thing that disappointed me was it talked about the future but not of classrooms in general. But I believe that the video was telling us that the future is coming sooner than we think.

I think the videographers porpose in creating the video was to tell the public that we are letting technology take over the way we live and know how to live. Our current classrooms are like those in the past becaause like the past we also learn about the newer technologies we are developing even if we dont learn the same ways, they may learn from news in a theatre but they still got the information to the public which circulated into classrooms of the past. Our classrooms are also alot like the future because we are learning for technologies right now for problems and jobs we dont even know we are going to have or need yet. Both of the videos I have watched have sspoken about the issues we are facing in todays classrooms about the technologies taking control of the classrooms. I would probably shoot a video in our class but I really wouldnt like to because our classrooms are pretty boring although if I did I would probably play something that todays teens like to listen to.

The video, “Classrooms of the Past” really opened my eyes to how much education and the way it is taught has changed. Since my parents were in school to now, the classroom and the tools in them have changed. There are many ways the video “Did You Know“and the video”Classrooms of the Past” are the same. One way is that they both showed about the same facts and the theme or the message were around the same point.

Our classrooms were totally different in the technology area. One way the to compare is the size of the class and the attitude for learning. Just by looking at some of those pictures, you could tell they were set on learning something. It may not seem like it sometimes, but I think our generation really wants to make a difference and that we truly want to have an education to fall back on to in the future.

If my class was to shoot a video, I think we should show how much of a difference our generation compares to the last. To me, any music would be fine because whatever the songs may be the message would still be recognized

I think the videographers’ purpose for making this video is to make us realize how much the world’s technology has changed in less than 100 years. The video referred to news being broadcast in movie theaters; the same news is available instantaneously today because of technology.
I noticed that many of the facts included in last weeks video “Did You Know” were restated in this video. It is very disconcerting that China has more honor students that America has students. I also strongly agree with the changes schools are making in regards to integrating technology into every day class. I think our educational system is headed in the right direction to get our students up to what has become the world standard. Technology is quickly becoming the engine that makes the car run. America needs to hurry; I have a feeling that 20 years from now only the smartest technology savvy people will be the ones controlling everything.

This video has alot of the same information as the "Did You Know?" video. The purpose of this video is to show that the world is ever changing. China has so many kids that if ALL of the students in the U.S. were honers kids we still wouldn't be close. Myspace would be a huge country because people all over the world use it. Another reason for this video is to show how much school has changed in the past years. The Earth has changed alot mostly for the better, but some of it is worse than it was. The music and examples in the video were different than the "Did You Know?" video. The information was the same but in different ways. I like this video.
I would like to plan and shoot my own video about how much the world changes and everything. I don't know what music I would use, but I would most likly use pop songs, because they show how many new words we have now compared to the Medievail days.
The classrooms of the past were very different than now. Now we are being "trained" for jobs that don't even exist yet. The problems we are being taught to solve aren't even problems yet but we still need the training for them. Where as the classrooms of the past we teaching them to solve problems that existed that day, not problems they would have in the future.

After watching "Classrooms of the Past", I believe that the videographer directed this video to the current educators. Therefore, I believe that the videographer's purpose is to inform the educators that in order to help students like myself succeed in the future they need to prepare us for the future jobs that will help solve our world's future problems.
Inside today's classroom you usually see some of the simplicity of the classes viewed in the past because of the books and some of the written assignments. You also see a lot of the 21st century technology being used such as smart boards, computers, franklins, and flash drives.
This video said a lot of the same things that the "Did You Know?" video said, but I believe that "Classrooms of the Past" was directed to a specific part of the population.
I would like to plan and shoot a video that would describe my current classrooms. I'm really not sure what music I would use in my video, but I am positive that I would NOT use the same music that the videographer of "Classrooms of the Past" used at the beginning.
