I think the video adressed a lot of issues that we need to really think about in order to not harm our environment in the future as much as we do now. It made me think about what I can do to help the other countries in the world. It also made me realize that there are a whole lot of smart people in China.
Technology is really important living in the twenty first century. My thoughts on the changes are I’m glad that we are moving forward with technology. Technology can help us in many ways and make things run smoother and faster. Technology is everywhere. I use the computer, television, DVD, and mp3 players. I also use the telephone, radio and many more things that have to do with technology. I probably use technology most of the day, especially when I come home from school. I think school should use more technology because kids like to use it and if we get to do homework and school work it makes it more fun. If the students are having fun and learning at the same time it’s a win, win situation. That is my thought on technology and how I use it.
This is an extremely interesting video. It shows that the USA, by a long shot isn't nearly as populated as some other countries around the world. This country having more money than most should be as dedicated to the education of people,
as the counties less fortunate do. More and more technology is being created, but very small amounts are being put into to a child's education. Once the technology does reach education world wide, the students will barely be able to keep up. Unless of course more money is being put toward today's academics. The video made me realize that the worlds changing fast and not everyone can keep up. I would like to help those other countries by helping them get updated in technology because it seem like from the video that it is updating to fast and some countries can't keep up with it. The population seems to be getting to be excedingly high and from what the video shows is that there are not enough jobs to get to everyone. China and india seem to have the most problem since the birthrate is rapidly increasing and less then all of them will get decent lives with everything that we can help them with. This video really amazes me. I never knew that technology changes that often, and it will change even faster in the near future. I am excited to see what new things people come up with later on in my life. I use a lot of technology in my typical day. I probably use the computer the most. I don't just use this very helpful piece of technology at home; I also use it at school. I think it would be very helpful and useful if every student had his or her own laptop for school. We could access all of our books online, and we could e-mail our assignments to our teachers. Another piece of technology that I use a lot is the television. I watch it at home sometimes, and I also use it at school. Teachers can connect the computer to the television so students can see the things on the teachers computer screen. That is very helpful when our instructors are showing us educational videos from the internet. Technology has come a long way into the Twenty-First Century, and it still has a long way to go.
My thoughts on the video were that the world will soon be completely based on computers and machines other than people. Technology is present everywhere in life. People use computers, cell phones, mp3's, iPod's, etc.. everyday of their life. It is unbelieveable how much we rely on technology in this world. I beleive the school should have more technology because we have so many kids, but we only have one computer lab at our school for all of us. I really thought it was interesting watching this video and learning all of the facts about technology. It is really interesting that the internet brought people together and they got married. I wouldn’t be writing this right now if it weren’t for this computer. I also listen to my I-pod a lot and watch T.V. If it weren’t for technology I would be a wreck because It makes school work a lot easier and I love to IM my friends. So basically I use technology everyday. I would like to use technology in school by having the school provide us PDA’s, the students could also pitch in with helping the school. I would like to have PDA’s because we could go on line on them and it would help us if we had to do a certain assignment. I enjoyed that movie. I think that the changes that will take place and have taken place in technology are huge. I also think life in school will become harder and life after school will become easier. I didn't know a lot of things in that short video clip. I had know idea that an 1,000 dollar computer can have more capacity than the human brian by 2023. I didnt know how valuable technology will be by 2023 and they have predicted a supercomputer by 2013. That's amazing that it will be able to have more capacity than a human brian. I think the video means that we are working too much on our computer devices and that we are going to cause a very dangerous thing to happen like in the horrific movie "The Day After Tomorrow". If we continue to use such devices as cell phones and cars and keep on manufacturing things that use so much energy we are going to destroy our resources. If we (the world) do not stop making so many complicated devices that will exceed our mental capabilities, we will be unable to learn from the mistake we are making daily.
When I was in elementary school I typed reports on the computer, I watched videos on the VCR, I listened to music from a CD player, and played Nintendo 64. Now I text message, watch DVDs at home and in our vehicle, use the computer to research topics and talk to my friends on Myspace, listen to music from my ipod, and play my Play Station Portable. Now it is amazing to think that the technology that I'm learning to use in middle school will be out dated by the time I'm in high school. I can't wait to see what new technology comes out in the future.

Another interesting fact was that there are hundreds of babies being born in one country in just a matter of a few minutes! The need to be ready and stay up to date and be involved in the world is really important.I also learned that our country and others have to be willing to keep up to date and also to be willing to pay for all the new thing happing,because like in the movie England in the 1900 was the most powerful but they weren't willing to stay up to date and they are now an average country. My thoughts on this video were that the whole world will soon be completely based on technology. Technology is a big part of my everyday life. If I didn't have a phone, I think i would die. This video made me think that I should move to China. According to the video , there is alot of smart people in China, so maybe if I move there I'll get smarter.
I think that the video was very interesting. It was very astonishing that by 2023 1st graders will be 23 and starting their careers. It made me rethink what i used to believe about technology. I would think that the technology stated in this video would be decades ahead of my lifetime.
The video showed how much we use technology today. If all of this happens in the USA by 2010-1050, then China will have even more technology. If it all comes true about the technology everybody will have computers, cell phones, and different types of technology.By that time all kids will have laptops. My science teacher is using a computer disc to replace our science books. Another use of my technology is using my ipod. I use the computer to download songs for me to listen to on my ipod. With all that population growth and technology, there might be another World War. The earth will get overpopulated. I don't like it when people get excited about the growth of the people, because this presents more problems to our economy and such. Well, there's nothing we can really do about it, right? Technical changes in the world today are truly amazing. Technology has advanced so much in the last twenty years. With it changing so quickly, it is hard to imagine what it will be like in the next one hundred years. The world needs to discover and invest in the good ways to find use to all the changes. Technology in my everyday life makes it much easier. We never would have been able to do this assignment the way we are, and that is just one example. I can work faster and more accurately now, than I could ever do without technology. I really don’t know what I would do without the Internet’s help. I do research, talk to friends and family, and manage my documents with technology. If you think about it, the technology I am using now is so vastly different than it was 25 years ago. When my parents were in eighth grade. When they typed anything, it was on a type-writer. They had to use white-out to correct any of their mistakes. Now, you use spell check, grammar check, and hit the backspace button and it’s easy to have a grammatically correct paper. Twenty-five years ago, if you needed to do research, you would have to go to the library to use encyclopedias. Computers were not anywhere near being in the everyday home.
Technology in the school system is very important at the present time. The generation that is currently in school will be around technical advances for the rest of their lives. Actually, technology is already a part of their lives. It is important that kids are educated and are used to being around technology. It is no longer optional. It is essential.

There are some things we do on a daily basis, that would be more difficult without some of the technology we have today. We need technology like computers and everything else, but what if the other countries suddenly decide to stop giving us these products? What will we do considering most of us use some form of technology at least once a day, usually more? We'd be plunged into the dark ages while the rest of the world moved on. Our country needs to get it's act together and start doing things for itself instead of having everyone else do stuff.
Technology is very important in every day life.I use technology on the regular basis.It helps me with school and its a way to communicate with your friends and other people in near and distant places.Although I am someone who is basically addicted to the new technology,I think that people in the world today are depending on it to much!I think it would be alot better if peple didnt depend on technology as much as we do.

I thought that the video made several good points about our world now and the future.Like how there will be more computers than humans on earth in 2047.Or,how every 3 minutes 544 babies are born in China.Also,how there are more English speaking people in China than there are in America.The video also astonished me how it said that everything our parents and grandparents learned will become obsilete by the time I enter college.But change for a planet that has been in this universe for eons needs to change or else the way of life will become a striving ability to us all.

My thoughts on the changes of technology in the video would be that practically when we get much older our whole world will almost revolve around technology itself. Just imagine for students starting a 4-year technical or college degree that half of the stuff they learn will be outdated by their third year. I wonder what all the great technologies will be made. Cell phones, computers, and TV are all used in my daily life I probably couldn’t live very well without them. Or even a microwave or refrigerator I would be spending a lot of money on fast food or even eating out! Can’t you see that our lives are already starting to revolve around technology just like I said will probably happen in the future! I usually use the computer for myspace, homework, and looking on other shopping sites. The cell phone is used to call my friends or even when I am out for family emergences it is used quite a lot. I really enjoy watching TV shows like Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, fashion shows, movies, and much more. If I was able to control how technology would be used in my school I would the children over 12 laptops would be able to use the whole year and to take them home, but not in the summer. The children under 12 could use them in school only.

I didn't relize how fast todays technology is growing, but I am glad that we are getting closer and closer each day to finding better ways to get things done. I LOVE technology. I use it everyday with my computer, ipod, and cell phone. There are many other appliances used by people everyday that display technology such as toasters, microwaves, refridgerators, can openers, ect. With all the technology changing and expanding so quickly, we can't keep up, even though we try. We're always trying to keep up because me as a teenager, I know that I always want the "hottest" electronics that are out. For example, I wanted an iPod as soon as they came out, and I'm sure everyone else did too! But in many, many good ways, technology is very important; without it we wouldn't be anywhere close to where we are today.

I believe this, "Did you know?" video is very informative. I like how it starts out telling us how many more smart children there are in China than the US. It's also amazing how it describes how many more children will be born in India, China, and the US, just while you're watching the video. Then, as it moves on to the computerized part of the video, it completely dumbfounds you. I mean, you don't really realize how many people have a MySpace account. I mean, you know there are lots of people out there that do have one, but the amount of people they describe is a large amount. And the end of the video. Shift happens, very catchy.

I think these changes in technology are good but yet bad. As several of hundred of years go by we humans have been getting smarter and so has technology. We have invented things without knowing the consequences till they have happened. Our new technology helps us in every day life but these things are destroying our planet. Some of us, not all, spend all day watching television and playing video games (that sometimes includes me) when people from China and India are studying to get a better education.
Technology today is probably growing faster that we even know. All the technology helps life much calmer and easier but I think we depend on it a little too much. I use technology everyday and so does almost every body else. We used technology to make our cars, computers, and much more which use these things everyday. Our world would not be the same without it but we could use a little less of it. If I could control what technology was used in my school I would leave it all the same because I would not be sure of what things to put in it and what not to put in it.

Current classrooms are the same as classes in the past because they still have a teacher. We still use books to get a lot of information But, I think that we will always use books, or information in books to use in school. The two videos are alike because they had a lot of the same facts. One of the most amazing facts to me was that the information that we are learning now, might not even help us with the jobs that we may have in the future. It must be difficult for teachers to keep up with information to teach us! The videos were different because one had pictures and the other didn't. The one with pictures related to kids more, where the first one just had information and no pictures. I would really like to shoot a video! It would be interesting to do it as a group project. I would probably use Top 40 music that everybody likes to listen to. Even though technology changes every day, I can't wait to see what the future holds in the next 10 years.

The changes in technology are tremendous! I mean in the 1800's what in the world was a phone or computer? What was an ipod or mp3 player? They had no idea what any of those things are. Back then it took days to weeks to talk to someone in a different state. Now communication is instantaneous. We can text message, instant message, and even talk on the phone, rather than wait for the mail or many years ago the pony express. You can get any kind of information on the computer, like for homework or just to look up interesting facts. So yes I think technology has changed greatly over time.

It is explaining to us that we have definetley come a very long way, and have developed so much in just 20 years! It really makes you think. When you think hard enough you come to the realization that yes we will have very far advanced technology, but as the technology shall progress so will our knowledge increase. So yes we may invent a supercomputer that knows more than the human race TODAY but if we continue to develop technology and just by studying things more the supercomputer might not have the knowledge we know THEN. We have a very thriving country, but would we have a country like ours if we didn't have technology? We probably could do this, although it would probably take double the time and effort. We rely so much on technology. It is definetly a good thing, but sometimes it can be bad.
We have many technological items in our world, and most of us use it 24-7-365. I know I have an ipod, computers, a Wii, and the same stuff most of us have. If we didn't have technology like we do today we wouldnt have wiped out Polio and cured many other diseases. We might not even know what the disease is, comes from, or looks like. While some people might be scared we are taking it too far with technological discoveries, we need to not be afraid and use it more. I am concerned that in our country more emphasis is put into furthering technology, instead of bolstering our educational system. I think that technology plays a big role in our everyday lives. Like if you needed to look up anything before the 1900s you would need to get out a dictionary or an encyclopedia and it could take a while to find out what you need. Now you can get onto google and look up pretty much anything in a matter of seconds. Think about this, what if in the future we become too reliant on technology. So everything in our homes run on electricity, there's a big storm and, the power goes out. Then what? I mean then what would you do then? We could also use the changes in technology to our advantage to do something great for mankind.
I think that we should all be aware of what is going on in the world around us. We should all be aware of the technology around us and what all we can do with it. So all the technology we have and will have in the future will be great but we could also be at a disadvantage.

Whoa! This video made me realize how unaware I am of what’s going on in the world today. Technology is present in my everyday life. For an example, I have a myspace that I do most of my communicating through. My other source of communicating with my friends would be my cell phone. I couldn't live without either one of these technologies. That’s why I feel grateful for what I have knowing a lot of children aren't so fortunate. Another technology I use daily is my ipod. My mom swears its in my ear 24/7. I think it would be really cool to have teachers record podcast of important information so we can listen and learn through our ipods. My current classroom is like the classroom of the past in that we still have information in books. We get assignments and take tests on paper. My classroom today has a lot of information like the classrooms in the future will have. I think we will always have some sort of computers in our rooms. The two videos are similar because they are talking about the future and how different it can be. They discuss many concerns about education today. Teachers might have many questions about how to use this information to improve their classrooms. The videos are different because the second one had images that made it more interesting. It was much easier to understand. I would like to plan and shoot a video with my classmates. The music I would use would be exciting and upbeat.

Technology helps us with many things that occur in our lives. Cell phones and house phones help us keep in touch with our friends and family. Computers help communicate with others and look up information that is used in school or other actives that may need to be research. Automobiles, trains, buses, boats, and plains are used to get people from place to place. Navigational systems help show the way from place to place. TVs, CD players, I pods, MP3s, radios, and gaming devices help keep entertained. Some of those devices can be used to gain information that is occurring in the present.
I would like to incorporate technology more in our school with newer devices. I feel that everyone should have a notebook computer in order to research information quicker and easier. Showing current videos that will keep the students MORE interested. I think we need to get a WII system to use in gym or language classes. These are a few things that our school can do to incorporate some of the newer technologies.

After viewing the video our country is sliding in our effort to provided education/technology to all of our children. Other countries like China and India value education/technology more than we do. I think that we take it for granted. A "free" education is promised to all of us. Many opportunities are there for us, we just have to take advantage of them. Technology is another word for electric-powered devices to make life a little more easier, like for instance, TV to give us news, the computer to research words and things a little more easier, telephones to comunicate, and so on. The technology present in my life is a computer, telephone, gaming systems, airplanes, trains, and vehicles. I would say about everyday. The kids would have more fun in schools than reagular school days.

I think the purpose of this video was to compare and contrast how modern students and classrooms are different from those back in the old days. The video "Classroom of the Past" was exactly like the "Did you Know" video, except the "Did you Know" video did not compare and contrast things like this video. I like the modern classrooms more than the old ones because there is so much more technology than there was back then. It also makes things easier on everyone with the knew technology. I also think it would be fun to shoot a video about our classrooms now because then we could look back on it and remember how much different it was and how much technology was changed in the short time period. My thoughts on the changes of technology in the world today are completely amazed by what i just saw. I honestly did not beleive some of the percentages, numbers and thoughts of predictions. I also did not realize that China and India were so advanced. I didn't think the world could get anymore complicated! Well it turned out that i was wrong. We realy more on technology more and more each day. It surprises me that people are able to think so advanced that we can predict something that is going to happen 25 years from now.
Technology is present in my life every day. I could not do half of the things i think of without technology.From computers to zip drives we can make the world a much smaller place because of communication features in our cell phones,computers[internet],instant messaging ,etc. technology amazes me in so many different ways. It is astonishing to even think something of this sort is possible.
I use technology everywhere i go. there's not a single thing i can think of that doesn't involve some sort of technology. Weather it's cars for transportation or a computer for homework. We rely on technolgy more than it relys on the human race. We usetechnology in just about everything we do.
We incorperate technology so much in school now. I remember when we did not use computers at all in preschool.I like technology and just about every thing about it. I also like using it more commonly in class. for some reason i think i learn quicker and more efficiantly than i used to learn without it. Andrew Strand
I think the purpose of this video was to compare and contrast how modern students and classrooms are different from those back in the old days. The video "Classroom of the Past" was exactly like the "Did you Know" video, except the "Did you Know" video did not compare and contrast things like this video. I like the modern classrooms more than the old ones because there is so much more technology than there was back then. It also makes things easier on everyone with the new technology. I also think it would be fun to shoot a video about our classrooms now because then we could look back on it and remember how much different it was and how much technology was changed in the short time period. If we did shoot a movie than there would be newer music because we are in modern times and back then there was older music.

The video was very intresting to watch it made me think how myspace was going to increase in siz just in a couple years by 2013 there will be billions of people that have one.I think our computers will be filled with myspaces and it will cause all of our computers to shut down because it will filled with information.I think people should perpare there kids for a world without technology.It made me think that I really have to do good in school if I want to acheive my goals in life so I'm going to try as hard as I can in life.
To watch this video was educating but scary. To view this information told me that steadily but slowly technology is creeping into our lives. However, don't get me wrong- the technology we have now is very helpful to our lives, but that is just it. I believe it should stay at the pace it is now. If it will exceed human race capabilities,I think it could become its own race and replace the animals and humans on earth- now that's scary! Even though I think it is nice to have now, I want to stress on people the negative points technology could have upon us.
The Video “Did You Know” showed me that I didn’t know. I never would have guessed that Myspace would be the 11th largest country. That’s pretty cool to me though. The video shows that probably sooner that later, technology is going to be our lives and what our lives revolve around. Technology is a very important part of my life. I would probably be dead if their wasn’t any technology. That is really not a joke I would die without a cell phone. I think that a cell phone is one of the best things made. They can be used when you are in danger, so yes, they can be life savers. We know that we all use technology every single day. I think that we could incorporate technology in my school by sending our work through email in school. Yes I thought the video was very good and informing. I honestly liked it. Buh Bye :)

The video did you know showed me that i really didn't know any of that. i never would've guessed anything like that. i really think that it's amazing that there are so many people in china, and not only that but they're sooooooo smart. i think that technology is a really amazing thing for us to have. i wish that i lived in china if china is that smart. without technology i don't know how we would do a lot of things. we wouldn't have internet. we wouldn't have ipods, we wouldn't even have mp3 players. i'm actually really glad that we live in the century with technology. i don't know what i would do without technology.

My thoughts on the future of technology and computers in my mind will be frightening. The reason I believe it will be frightening is because the thought of computers out-smarting humans in 2049 could be catastrophic. A single hard drive can’t run every computer on the Earth without having a problem or two. Ever since I saw this video it has made me think what kind of life I will have to put up with when I grow up. It’s made realize that humans no longer have a real place in the world it all belongs to computers. In my daily life I use technology extensively, but the video said that if there were a country completely made up of people who used My Space, it would be the 11th largest country in the world. In my opinion I don’t think the schools anymore need much more technology. Between the computer usage and electronic smart-boards schools are too advanced for this lonely person.

The first time I watched Did You Know, I didn't really think that much about it. But now that I watch it again(4 months later) it really has me thinking. All that information is crazy. I can't believe that China will have more e alot English speaking people than us. Pretty much technology will take over. I have alot different perspective, and I'm dumbfound Ryan Ayers
Technology is in my life in many different way. We use technology with cars, cell hpones, automobiles, computers,ipods, and much more. I use technology on the regular basis. I use my computer everyday for homework and extra-cirricular activities. I use my cellpone for emergencies or just when im in the need for talking or texting my friends of family. Automobiles are used every day , 24/7 by young, midle aged, and sometimes even old people. Ipods are usd for listening to music. I have a digital camera, and I use it to upload pictures on my myspace, or even jus to have for memories or to print out and give them to your family members who live far away or even close. Although I'm like addicted to technology, I don't think that we should depend on it as much as we do. I think we use it to much for things that we should be able to do without getting on the computer and getting on google and looking up things that we should be able to think about our selves, or we should already know. If we didn't use it as much as we do, then I don't think it would be as bad as it is now.

The changes in technology are amazing. In the old times there was nothing that could cure diseases, but now we do. Technology is present in my life every day, whether is be at home, or at school. I would like to incorporate technology into my school day to at least three days out of the school week. We, the students need to know how to use technology in our lives because of the times of today. Technology is used in just about everything in this time period. It's unbelievible how many babies will be born in India and China.

I think did you know is away that people of the technology is so much better and you can do a lot more things and never seen things that you do things that you go so fast you watch like the DVD players and the TV all of things are so up to date and the things that you do on line and how its change in the past and the past is gone and think that we had every year that goes be they get newer things and with the technology and the things of the future is so much better with all the new things the future is a new beagain.............

i always thought that you grow up and get a job and be happy,but i never thought we would be that bad off.I never knew that we were so far behind in smarts. i still think we use computers and tecnology to much,we depend on something thats no smarter than the man who made it.we are totaly changing in the way we think<3

I like this video because it shows us what the world is coming to. This video is showing us how many people are using the internet. Also the future but, I don’t like thinking about the future. The future isn’t fare away but, I still don’t like thinking about it. I would love to be here still when the future comes, I don’t like admitting that there are going to be flying cars. One reason why I like this video was that it showed me that other countries are much popular and bigger than we are.
