The quotes I would like to blog about are: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", ad one of my favorites, "It takse courage to stand up and speak, but it takes MORE to sit down and listen.". "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." The golden rule. The ONE thing that EVERYONE remembers from the Bible. I have a friend, Troy Shough, who is an atheist. HE knows that saying. Basically, the saying means to just treat others nicely if you want to be treated nicely. You have to give respect to get it. And while we are on the subject of respect, I'll talk about that other quote. "It takes courage to stand up and speak, but it takes MORE to sit down and listen." I think it is kind of self-explanatory. If someone is talking over you, you will not be heard. Guess who gets the shorter straw there? They do. I someone is talking over you, you will not be heard. But they will not be LISTENED to. If someone says that they are braver than you because they are NOT afraid to get up in your face, and talk this and that, you are braver for walking away. If someone say that this guy is BRAVER than you because he can TALK, YOU are braver because you can LISTEN. I cannot stress enough the importance of listening! I none of us had the.. the VALIANCE to listen, every one would drown themselves out in an endless uproar. Therefore, I believe that BOTH of these sayings are important to ALL men. And women. The quote that my mom uses repeatedly is, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! GO TO YOUR ROOM!"(just kidding.) My mom does't really recite QUOTES, exactly, but when she talks, she really FEELS and MEANS what she says, and I respect her for that. Phrases from songs that could be used as quotes... there are TOO many! Two come to mind immediately, however. Those are: "Cards are on the table, I'm NOT folding; its time to take a gamble with the hand that I've been holding." I think that that quote means that you shouldn't spend all of your life running away, and looking for better situations, because there is no perfect situation. You should make the best of what you have in life, and be grateful for having anything. The other is, "Too much of ANYTHING will make you an addict." This is also full of meaning, this little tiny sentence actually means something BIG. I know, I'm just a little crazy... Anyway, I think that this means that there is a such thing as too much of a good thing. You can become addicted to too much effort, or too much organization. Relax before you give yourself an ulcer. You can become addicted to too MUCH relaxing. Do SOMETHING before your brain shuts down like a=the computer that it is, from inactivity. You can have too much of a bad thing. Fix it before it destroys you. You can have too much of a GOOD thing. Fix it before it RUINS you. As for quotes from athletes, I find a lot of them inspiring. "Just do it." - Lebron James. Those three words could make ONE 100 lb. man move a mountain. Size does't matter, it's WILL that counts. It isn't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. Michael Jordan for example, has FIVE great quotes that I can think of offhand. They are: "I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.", "I've never been afraid to fail.", "I can accept falure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.", "I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. I don't do things half-heartedly. Because I know if I do, then I can expect half-hearted results.", and my personal favorite, "My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a STRENGH." Michael Jordan is a very WISE man. He may not have been smart, he could have had an IQ of six, for all I know, but he was WISE. He told people how to live their LIVES while talking about JUST BASKETBALL! Imagine if everyone on the planet were as WISE as Michael Jordan. Imagine that. Go on, do it. There would be no MURDER, no RAPE. NO EVIL OTHER THAN SATAN HIMSELF.
For if WE didn't CREATE evil, there would BE no evil. The world would be a happier place! I know I'm starting to banter on endlessly about my dream, but isn't it a good one? That's it! Have a nice day!

The quote i chose was.. "A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you all the same.♥" It means that you could tell somebody everything and they would still love you nomatter what. They will always be there for you. The most common used quote is "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." My Pap-pap always says "Live yous life like there is no tommorrow." The song Broken by Lifehouse has a great quote in it. :) "I'm falling apart, barely breathing with a broken heart, that's still beating. In your name I find meaning, In the pain, is there healing." That quote is amazing. That is definitly my favorite song ever. The quote "As simple as it sounds, we all must try to be the best person we can: by making the best choices, by making the most of the talents we've been given." It was written by Mary Lou Retton, She is also my hero. I look up to her alot.

The quote I chose was "Those on top of the mountain, didn't fall there.♥" I think it means that you have to work very hard to reach your goals and dreams. Or in their words, you have to work as hard as you can to climb all the way to the top of the mountain. You don't just end up where you want to be. It may be a long and hard fight to the top, but if you want it that badly, you'll eventually make it. The most common quote i hear is, "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." I'm not really sure what this means, but i hear it all the time. My great pappy always said "People may think they're better than you, but really, you're just as great if not better." This is the only quote that i remember from him, but I think it's very meaningful, and true. My favorite quote in the song let me go by 3 doors down is, "In my head there's only you now, this world falls on me. In this world there's real and make believe, this seems real to me." It came from one of my favorite songs ever. Another quote is "If the world was perfect, it wouldn't be." by Yogi Berra. I'm not really a fan of his, but i like it.

the quote i chose was..."if you see someone without a smile,give them one of yours" I love this quote because as soon as i read it it stood out to me. it basically means if u see someone with out a smmile ...smile at them because maybe they are having a bad day or just dont feel like smiling and if you smile at them first they most likely will the next time!!!!! one quote my mom is famous for saying to me and my sis is:" don't wait till tomorrow what you can do today" she says this very often to me. for example in WV history we have a bunch of worksheets due Thursday well Mr.Patrick assigned it last week and everyday sense then i have put it off!!!! so i know the next time this wont happen. so quotes come in handy and give great advice if you think about it.
Refusing to ask for help when you need it is refusing someone a chance to be helpful. When you need help and someone offers it and your being stubborn, you should be thankful that somebody is asking and after they help you, you made them feel gratefull as do you. The most common quote is "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" even though this quote is very old, everyone still knows it. One phrase from a song that could be used as a quote is "just keep holding on because me and you will make it through". This tells that no matter what, you can make it thorugh anything, together. "It is not true that nice guys finish last. Nice guys are winners before the game even starts."- Addison Walker I really like this quote. To me, it says that just because you're not the most competitive, that doesn't mean you aren't a winner.

My favorite quotes from an athlet is by Mia Hamm and it is If a team wants to intimidate you phisically and you let them they've won. I also like a quote by a basketball couch -Phil Jackson- " Good teams become great ones when the members trust eachother enough to surrender the 'me' for the 'we'."

It means that someone is trying to do something in your benifit, and you you think they are turning on you, but they are really trying to help you. Sometimes, you have to look at the over-all piture or outcome, rather than every little detail.

I picked the quote was "Those on the top of the mountain didn't fall there". It means you must try and work for somthing. You cant just hope everything will come to you. You must achieve it and go for it. Over the summer i went to shepards for a leaership camp, and while I was there I remember on the proffesors say "To get finished you have to get started wich means almost the exacy same thing. I think the most commonly used quote in the video is do unto others as you would have them do unto you. My parents use that quote alot. One of my favorite songs is Up by Shania Twain. my favorit line is you can only go up from here. I listen to that song whenever I feel that i am just doing as bad as bad and just not doing well. I am not a big sports fan and I dont have a favorite quote from an athlete.

If you want to keep people from getting into trouble, you should keep them busy. I think the most common quote used in the video was "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". My Dad says a quote that goes like this, "A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor." It means doing something easy instead of a challenge won't make you any better.

From one of the beatles songs they say,"money can't buy me love." There isn't any quotes i know of from any athletes.

Even though the world may change, people might die, and your surroundings change, ideas will always be there no matter what. I do not know any songs that would make a good quote. My favorite quote from an athlete is from Michael Jordan. I think that means if you see someone that might be having a bad day or isn't very cheery that day make an effort to make them smile, or laugh. The most common quote in this video is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This is just saying, treat people the way you would want to be treated.
My mom always says, "Kill people with kiddness," what she means by that is when someone is trying to make you feel bad or they are being mean to you just be nice and they will realize you are a good person. My mom also says, "You need a lot of friends to get through life." When my mom tells me that quote she is trying to tell me to be nice to everyone you may need them sooner than you think.

I think that this means that you have to be yourself and not think about how other people see you. The most common quote used in this video is "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". My mom has this saying that always pops up into my mind when my little sister or I have a bad day and are talking about how other people probably saw us and thought about us. It goes like this: Those that mind, don't matter and those who matter, don't mind. I think that this phrase from a song would make a good saying: Why should I change myself into what you think I should be, when all you've got to love is me. I can't reallt think of any sayings from athletes that I find inspiring at the moment.

The quote I'd like to explain is "even the sweetest song soudns sour if it's not sung in your own tune" I think it means that no matter how good something is one way it would be even better to you if it was your way or how you would do it. There really isn't a most common quote but more of a common ideal which is be happy, trust yourself, and treat others well. My parents always say "do unto others as you would have others do unto you. I find the quote about surfing inspiring because it's basically telling you that you can't do everything on your own, so when you can't you need to believe in those who can.
I like the quote "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I think this quote means if you want to be treated fairly, then you have to treat others fairly. My mom says that all the time. My soccer coach repeatedly says "Get in the light" meaning don't stand behind a defender, get open for the ball. That can also be used in life meaning don't stand by idly and let the world go by, get involved in what's going on. A great quote from a song is "Don't worry, be happy." This quote means try to forget about what's bothering you because everything has a way of working out. A great quote from athletes that I've heard is "Play the game, don't let the game play you." I think this quote means that if you are going to play then play to win and fight for a win, don't just let the other team stomp all over you.

“Even the sweetest song will sound sour if it is not sung in your own key.” Well, I can come up with two different but quite similar explanations for this quote. My first clarification is that you can live the greatest life and have anything you want but if you don’t live life to the fullest, it wont mean anything. For example, in the book The Outsiders, the Socs have everything they could ever want yet they are mean to others. Like they always say, you can respect others if you don’t respect yourself. Obviously, The Socs probably don’t have much self-respect. My other justification is that you can be very pretty, but not being yourself can make you come off as being ugly. When I say that I can imagine my mom yelling at me, “Rachel Diane Martin! Clean off that eyeliner from under your eyes! You look like a vampire! Let your inner beauty sine through.” She kind of has a point. Although I think vampires are awesome (Yes, I’m obsessed with Twilight. Team Edward!) I try to cover everything with makeup. Just as long as I stay nice and true to myself, I think that’s all that really matters.

I believe there is a verse in the bible that is similar to it but I can’t remember it at the moment. I’ve seen the same picture in my social studies book from a few years ago. I also saw that picture at the United Nations in New York City.
To my knowledge, there isn’t a specific quote that my parents, grandparents, and coach say repeatedly. I’m very glad that they don’t because that would get extremely annoying after a while.
A very inspiring song is “God Loves Ugly” by Jordin Sparks. There’s not one specific line that I find inspiring but the song is mostly about how even if people on Earth may think you are ugly, God loves you and thinks that everyone is beautiful in their own way. When I am down in the dumps, I sometimes listen to that song on my iPod to help me realize that there is someone who loves me unconditionally.
This quote isn’t by an athlete, but it is from a singer, which I find to be close enough. It is my life. “Girls are like apples...the best ones are at the top of the trees. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think there is something wrong with them, when, in reality, they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree...” That was said by Pete Wentz and whenever I boys are jerks, I try to remember that quote so I can keep my chin up.

The day will never end if it's special enoough to make a memory. You always have memories so you will never forget, and if you don't forget the day won't ever end. I picked this quote because it reminds me of all of my good and bad memories. I only like the good ones. You will have a lot of memories some will be sad, mad, happy, exciting, scary, ect. I think this quote means if your really truthfully giving what you're doing 100% then you won't have time to bug and torture others and you won't be goffing off yourself. You'll get your job done so much better. The most common quote in this video is "Do unto others as ytou would have them do unto you." I think we mostly hear this as "Treat others ht ewayyou want to be treated." My mom once used the quote "It's better to have loved and to lost than to have never loved at all." This means its better to have loved someone and had them die rather than to just have not loved anyone. I'm almost positive there are great quotes in songs, I just can't think of any at the moment. I don't know anything about athletes so I have no idea if they've made any great quotes.

I remember both of my parents telling this quote to me. Um one of my favoure songs,funny the way it is by David Matthews band, has very good and meaningful lyrics that could be used as a song. I think all the lyrics would make great quotes.

The quote I decided to blog about is do unto others as you would have do unto you. It mens treat others with respect as you would want them to treat you with respect. The most comon quote used in this video is probably the one I choose. My mom always uses the quote what goes around comes around. The song Life Is A High Way is a good quote. Their are many athletes who inspire like Michel Phelps, Hines Word, and Paten Manning. But I can't think of any quotes by them.
My personal favorite would have to be, "Our successes are only as big as our dreams", it means to dream big. If we limit ourselves the outcome will also be limited. I actually dream to big in my opinion. "Do unto others as you have them do unto you", is the most frequently used quote in the video. It is also one of my favorites. You have to first show respect in order to get it, or go out of your way and be nice, for others to treat you the same. My cousin Jordan (20 years of age) always seems to say, "No matter what you start out with, it always ends up being so much less." Paciencia y Fe. which in my perspective is very true. He also likes to say, "If being crazy means living life as if it matters, I don't care if I'm completely insane." and i agree with that too. You find inspiration in the littlest things, I seem to find it in the quotes that my cousin recites."Rather be dead than cool." Kurt Cobain. This quote was not in a song, but those 5 words meant a lot to me. I guess it means that if you try to be cool its going to cause you so much pain. If fitting in meant doing drugs and hurting your health, would you do it? I, much like Kurt, rather be dead also. I don't really follow a certin athlete so I cannot say that I have an inspiring quote.

My dad dosent have any real quotes but he once told me that you are what you chose to be and become. And that you are a product of the choices you make and nothing else. It means that even if you work really hard toward your goals when their easy, you should also work on them when their hard to. The most common quote in this video is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." It's a life lesson you can find like everywhere. My parents don't really repeat themselves but they do give me information when i need it. None of my music really has any life lessons in it, it's just random lyrics. Life is all about choosing paths and liking who you are at the end of the journey. Getting to the top of the mountain comes with facing challenges ang working through them. And the end is always near." I'm not sure it is very appropriate, but I do understand the meaning of it. It means to live your life to the fullest every second of your life. I find this quote from Shaquille O'Neal inspiring.
