The word holocaust means the destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially cause by fire or nuclear war. There have been genocides in Germany, Cambodia, Bosnia, and Rwanda. The countries which experienced the most casualties are the Soviet Union, Germany, Poland, China, and Yugoslavia. Some of the important players in World War II are Adolf Hitler, Franklin Roosevelt, Hideki Tajo, and Winston Churchill. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazis and the head of the Holocaust. Franklin Roosevelt was the President of the United States during World War II. Hideki Tajo was the leader of Japan who worked together with Hitler to bomb the United States. Finally, Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of Great Britain during the World War II, who helped Roosevelt on D-Day to attack the Nazis. During World War II the Star of David was a giant part of the history. The Star of Davis symbolizes something in the Jewish heritage. Before the Holocaust began, Hitler made the Jews wear a big Star of David pin on the front of their clothing. when they would walk through town, people would spit on them or throw rocks on them. I think that this is ridiculous! All of those people died for nothing. there was no reason for Hitler to kill and torture those people. When I look at pictures that have survived the Holocaust, it makes me sick!
I still get alittle emotional when I hear the word Holocaust. When I hear that word I picture all the Jewish people killed for no reason. It's truely horrifying. It simply cant be justified in any way shape or form. Everything Hitler did was pure evil.
In the holocaust people were attack by the nazis. The was a girl that hide in a attic with her family and her name was anne frank. There was a death camp that people were killed at because the nazis have founded them. The were like about 84,000 pairs of shoes in rows because those were people who die. How would you feel if you were attack by the nazis? If i was a person in a family that die in the holocaust i would be sad because one of my family members had die. The reason why the usa they didn't want to get involed with the holocaust.
