The one painting that I know of is the Mona Lisa. It is one of the most famous paintings in the world. Not sure if I'm right about this but it was painted by Galileo. It is a very detailed and special painting of a beautiful woman. I haven't really studied the real meaning of the painting but I think that it has something to do with women are art. We are, every single one of us is made and built in some type of special way and no one should tell us otherwise.

I choose the painting Girl With a Pearl. This painting is sometimes referred to as "The Dutch Mona Lisa". The Illustrator/painter is Johannes Vermer. There was very little known about Vermer. This painting Girl With a Pearl was undated. The painting is named the Girl With a Pearl, because of the woman in the photo. She's wearing an exquisite pearl earring. I find this painting different because even tho it is like the others a face of a women. This women or like Mona Lisa just not with that slight grin she has this girl the Girl With a Pearldoes not have a slight grin but she has a facial expression that shows even more than a slight grin even more than an actual grin gri does not have a slight grin but she has a facial expression that shows even more than a slight grin even more than an actual grin.

Oscar Monet was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature. The term "Impressionism" is derived from the title of his Impressionism, which was exhibited in 1874 in the first of the independent exhibitions mounted by Monet and his associates as an alternative to the salon de paris.

I have chosen "portrate in a straw hat". It was painted be Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun in France. Vigee Le Brun's father was an unsuccessful painter she easily eclipsed him. She became a star of the local public art exhibition.specialising in portraits of their children, and, most importantly, her friend the Queen.

I chose the painting "a woman with a hat". Woman with a Hat is a painting by Henri Matisse. I chose this painting because I thought all of the colors looked very cool. An oil on canvas, it depicts Matisse's wife, Amelie. It was painted in 1905 and exhibited at the Salon d'Automne during the fall of the same year, along with works by André Derain, Maurice de Vlaminck and several other artists known as "Fauves". The painting is currently being exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

I have never been to an art museum. I've seen pictures of art museums and they look pretty cool to experience amazing arts done by amazing people. I chose the Mona Lisa one well besides the fact that it's one of the most well known paintings, it's one of my favorites. The Mona Lisa painting by Leandro is a very interesting photo. He had a lot of talent and skill to create that painting.

I chose the painting The Battle of Alexander at Issus. It is a 1529 oil painting by the German artist Albrecht Altdorfer. He was a pioneer of landscape art and a founding member of the Danube school. This is the most famous painting of Altdorfer. He had tried to follow ancient descriptions of the actual number and kin of combatants in the battle. To accomplish this, he adopted a bird’s-eye view. So, the protagonists are lost in the antlike mass of their own armies. Many people were reminded of the Heavenly Host above the Virgin and Child in the Isenheim Altarpiece by Grunewald. Mostly due to the background of this painting.

I am choosing the Yale Art Museum of History. What attracted me the most was the drawings, there were some from around 300 years ago. The whole first part of the museum was drawings and many of them were of Venice, the rivers looked beautiful. Another thing that attracted me was wood carvings of bowls, face masks, and weapons made by Native Americans. I am sad that i am going near the area and not visiting the Yale Art Museum of History.

I am choosing to write about Leonardo da Vinci. He was born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy and he died on May 2, 1519, in Amboise, France. His parents were Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci and Caterina da Vinci. A couple of famous painting he painted is Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. Some of his quotes are, Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, Art is never finished, only abandoned, and When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.

Last year on the gifted field trip to New York City we went to Madame Tussauds Wax Museam. It’s not paintings like you think of at an art museum but was scuptures of famous people. These figures were made of wax and really looked real. We took pictures with all kinds of famous people such as world leaders, sport stars, movie stars, musicians etc. It was a lot of fun. Two famous art museums in NYC are the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. We have passed by them in previous years but have never been. My parents have been there but didn’t think my sister and I would enjoy it. This past summer we visited Frank Lloyd Wrights house Falling Waters and enjoyed it so maybe I would like the Guggenheim since he did design it.

I have never been to a gallery museum. I choosing to write about Titian. Titian's real name was Tiziano Vecellio, known as Titian in English was born in the small alpine village of Pieve di Cadore, wich was located near the Austrain border. As for the bate of his birth, no one really knows. It was undocumented, but scholars accept the period from 1482-1490 for his birth years. Parents were respectable people of modest means. Titan's first big commission was in 1510. He was to paint the Scuola Del Santo in Padua. Titian opened his own workshop and was to hire altar in the Church of Maria Gloriosa dei Frari in Venice. In 1525, Titian married Cecilia to legitimize his son Pomponio, whom they had some time before. The three kids are Pomponio, Orazio, and Lauinia. Cecilia died giving birth to Lauinia.

The painting I chose was the Virgin of the Rocks. This painting was done by Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo was working for a family in Milan at the time he painted this. The year was 1482. The family wanted a painting. So Leonardo painted it but instead of giving it to the family he tried selling it. Other people thought the price was to high. He eventually sold it years later.

The painting I chose was the Mona Lisa. I think the painting is the most well known painting in the world. Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa with oil paints. Leonardo painted the picture in 1504 in Florence Italy. In 1911 the painting was stolen. The next day it was returned. In 1954 vandals threw acid at the painting causing damage. Today people are trying to preserve the painting.

I have never been to an art gallery but I would live to go to one. They seem very intresting and the paintings are always amazing. If I had to pick my favorite painting it would be Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. It is so pretty and there is so much detail. It was created in June of 1889.

I have not personally been to the Wild West Museum in Cody, Wyoming, but my dad has been there. He said it is a wonderful museum, and he thinks my brother and I would like it very much. He said that they have different wings in the museum that you can tour. Ever since my dad has told me about this museum I have wanted to go, but even knowing that I have never been to an art gallery, going to this museum would paint a picture to see what the life on the western frontier would have been like. The three wings are the wild west museum which also features the Buffalo Bill Cody wild west show collection,The American firearms collection and the museum of the plains Indians. The last wing has the true arts and crafts made be the Sioux and Cheyenne tribes in particular. I want to see the beautiful bead work and ceremonial garments that they made with the use of modern tools.

I have not been to a art museum but I would like to go to one. A famous painting is when the four marines rose the United States flag on Iwo Jima. They rose the flag on February 23 1968. The marines rose the shortly after the United Stated took Iwo Jima. The flag stands on top of Mount Suribachi and the photo was taken by Joe Rosenthal. Is used as Marine Corps War Memorial which is dedicated to all marines in the United States. This shows the U.S. can accomplish anything.

No, I haven't ever been to an art museum or art gallery, but I have always wanted to. I have chosen to do a painting named The Weeping Woman by Pablo Picasso which is a very interesting because of the detail and interesting lines in the painting. The painting was made in 1937. The media of this painting is oil paints. The woman in the painting is crying, in the painting he is referring to a singular universal image of suffering. I like this painting because the extreme emotion in it. I picked it because beautiful lines.

I have been to two museums the Indiana state museum and the children`s museum, both located within Indianapolis. the Indiana State Museum isn't necessarily an art museum but does feature an art exhibit. The children`s museum is as the name states a children`s museum so does not feature art; although it has been named the largest children`s museum in the country. A famous painting is The houses of parliament sunset, by Claude Monet. I like this picture because it opens your imagination. You see a dark castle barley peaking out of the heavy grey fog. You see a sparkling sea and can imagine the creatures lying within the unknown. It is one of 19 pictures depicted in Monet`s Houses of Parliament series. The painting was completed in 1904, under the Genre of cityscape. The style is labeled as impressionism.

I chose a painting to write about named "La Scapigliata", or the "Head of a Woman". This painting was done by Leonardo da Vinci. The painting was oil on wood, dating from perhaps around 1500 and housed in the Galleria Nazionale di Parma, Italy. The painting is very beautiful to me, along with other work from Leonardo da Vinci. It is a finished painting that was first heard of in 1627 at the House of Gonzaga. The painting shows a beautiful woman with slightly curly hair, looking down with a slight grin to her face. It has deep colors, including gray, black, brown, tan, and a slight hint of pink/purple. I have never been to an art gallery or museum before.

There was one painting that had stood out from all of the rest of the paintings. The painting is called Woman with a book. It might not seem like it is exciting, but the painting isn’t something someone would have chosen, and that is kind of the point. One of the reasons that it had spoken out to me is that it was an unusual type of painting. By that I mean that it uses geometrical shapes. It had a weirdly shaped arms and hands. The hands had looked different from any other hands, and the arms were curved. The woman and only the woman looked as if she was made out of stained glass. Those were most of the reasons of why I have chosen this painting.

A famous museum is the National Air and Space Museum. The museum is located in Washington DC. the capital of the United States. Our grade actually took a field trip to the museum. We really didn't get to see many things because we all had to stick together but I wish I could go back to it one day and see much more. The Air and Space Museum was built in 1976 and has many exhibits of planes space suits and pretty much whatever else can fly is in there.

Louis Wain was an artist born in the early 1860's with a strange affinity for painting anthropomorphized cats. Eventually, he managed to develop schizophrenia after contracting toxoplasma gondii from one of his many cats. His artwork showed evidence of his disorder, as they went from charming to very abstract and almost frightening.

One time in the third grade my mom took me to a museum and i don't remember a lot of it but I tell u what I do. I remember going to it and seeing huge portraits of people and other things. Some of the art work was simple but it was cool. I also remember seeing like pictures of this guy and he had his hands raised and a sword in his right hand like he just had won a battle. I thought it was neat how every picture had a little signature on the bottom of the painting and I just thought that was neat.

I have never been to an art gallery. I don't know if I would really want to either, I would find it kind of boring. One painting that always catches my eye when I see it is "Starry Night," by Vincent van Gough. He painted it in 1889. I like this specific painting above all because of the different blues that kind of blend into each other. The yellow stars give it a nice touch also. The way Vincent van Gough made the tower is very unique. He didn't make it blocky like the tower actually is, but instead he drew it curvy.

When I was seven, I attended a faux art gallery somewhere in Carnegie, PA, with my mom. This one depicted copies of famous paintings from around the world, along with a short biography about the painter, and artwork. I remember liking it a lot, until we got to the religious themed paintings. I got very scared because they had a lot of blood, and violence in them. Needless to say, I was very frightened. I started to cry, and we had to leave. I chose to write about the painting “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” by Georges-Pierre Seurat. He started painted it in 1884 and finished it in 1886. It is a painting of people relaxing at la Grande Jatte, Paris. It is located in the Art Institute of Chicago. Which has been acclaimed as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world".The painting,is in oil on a white Lombardy poplar panel, and is believed to have been painted between 1503 and 1506.
