America

Identify at least two of the monuments or symbols depicted in this video. Explain their significance in our history, pride, and culture. Why should we be proud of our heritage? If you were to be able to plan a trip within the United States where would you plan to travel? Would any of the monuments depicted in the film be included in your travel? Who on Earth is Ray Charles?

(WHEEE first comment!!!)This video gave me cold chills! It basically summed up what almost everyone thinks of as symbolizing America. One of the monuments was the Statue of Liberty, which is in New York. It was a gift to the United States from France. It has become a symbol of the United States and an expression of freedom to people all over the world. We should be very proud of what she means to us because even after 9-ll, our symbol of freedom still stands. I saw the Statue of Liberty on a trip to New York and it was amazing. Another monument that is a symbol of America is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial which is located in Washington, D.C. It is inscribed
with the names of all Americans who died in the Vietnam War, and those classified as missing in action. The people who fight for us and our country sometimes give their lives so that we can all be free. We should be very proud of out heritage because we are one of the most free nations on earth. This is because our nation has been kept strong and free because people are willing to give their lives. We should all be proud to live in America and show respect for our flag and our country. If I were to plan a trip to anywhere in the U.S., I would go back to New York City. I love the city and I would like to have more time and be able to see the details of the Statue of Liberty and other historic places. Ray Charles is a very famous singer who is blind. He plays the piano and has been an
entertainment icon for many years. He has won many awards for his talent. He brings true meaning to the song "America the Beautiful."

This video was kinda cool.
One of my favorites were Mt. Rushmore, because it was so well built. it was carved into the southeast face of a mountain in South Dakota are the faces of four presidents, a memorial to American history. The faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln look down from their stoney heights and remind everyone that even the impossible is possible.it was built by a man named Gutzon Borglum.

another favorite of mine was the San Francisco's Golden Gate bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge, completed after more than four years of construction at a cost of $35 million, is a visitor attraction known around the world. The GGB opened to vehicular traffic on May 28, 1937 at 12 o'clock noon, ahead of schedule and under budget, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt pressed a telegraph key in the White House announcing the event.

if i could go anywhere in the U.S. i would goto Miami, because the parties are rockin' every night and it never gets old,lol<3.I also would include the Holocaust Museum.

Ray Charles was a old blues singer who went blind as a child.he learned to play piano, guitar, and plenty of other instruments. He was theone who was singing in the background of the video.

Two monuments that I saw that I knew were Abraham Lincoln and the soldiers holding up our flag. The Abraham Lincoln statue is just to show that that was his building and it was named after him and the soldiers holding up our flag means that when they were in war we won and they were showing our pride of the US. We should be proud of our heritage cause most of our heritage was important and affected our lives today in bad and good ways. If I was to plan a trip in the US I would have my trip in Hawaii. No monuments in the video were in Hawaii. I think that Ray Charles is the guy who was blind but still could play the piano.

This depicted many of our nations symbols and monuments. I recognized several like Mt. Rushmore, Lincholn Memorial, Arlington Cemetary, Statue of Liberty, and Niagara Falls. The significance of these monuments to our history is how much they represent our past and remind us that we should be proud to be americans. Most people don't know what Arlington Cemetary is but I do. It is a place where soldiers from WW2 are buried and it has pretty much a blank white tombstone. I think that it has there names. The ones that were unidentified were put in a big grave known as the Unknown Grave. We should be prod of our heritage because everything in this video depicted things that were important like the people that fought for our nation to the people that ran it. I would travel to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. The places that I have mentioned I have already visited and enjoyed except for Mt. Rushmore but I am hoping to see them. Ray Charles is an African- American musician. He is blind. He sings and plays the piano. You have probably seen him on TV.

Vietnamese woman. The wall has over 56,800 names that have The two monuments that are very important were the "three fighting men" and "the wall". The three fighting men was dedicated to the Vietnam veterans and it shows , from left to right, an enlisted man carrying an M60 machine gun with his hand on the back supporting the officer to the front right ,far right is an African-American carrying an M16A1 riffle. The reason for this monument they are showing the people who fought in Vietnam War moreover showing support for their friends. The Vietnam Memorial Wall was the second thing I found that was very important. The wall was an idea by a perished during the Vietnam War also; names are still being added to the wall because of combat related problem to Vietnam post war. The place I would want to visit would be in D.C. I would see many monuments down there. The wall and the three fighting men are there too. Ray Charles is a blind musician and plays many instruments but most common for him is the piano. He is the person who sang this song. You may have seen Ray on some TV commercials.

This video was showing symbols of America and that many people have died for our freedom and that none should forget. One of the symbols would be the Lincoln Memorial. This was to honor him for the great things in history that he accomplished. He and many other president wanted to free slaves and it happened! The most important symbol would be the AMERICAN FLAG.This symbol is important because it shows what the men in Vietnam and all the other wars have done to give us freedom. This flag is so important becuase it shows that after everything America has been through our flag is still standing.Everyone in AMERICA should be proud that we are now free and that people are willing to go over saes just to protect us and our country. If I were to plan a trip to go anywhere in the U.S. I would go NEW YORK to see the STATUE OF LIBERTY.The main thing this video was trying to show would be that all of thses symbols or monuments show that our presidents and ctizens gave us freedom to live.Ray Charles is a blind black man.I think they put him singing in this video to show what he has overcome and what America has overcome to be free and proud. Many of these other sites they were showing were showing war monuments. They were showing these to show how people have died for us and how they all just wanted us to be free and RESPECT AMERICA AND WHAT PEOPLE HAVE DIED FOR!!

This video shows many of our nations monuments such as Mount Rushmore,The Lincoln Monument, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall), Arlington Monument, The Iwo Jima monument, Statue of Liberty and The Golden Gate Bridge. These are of great importance as all the monuments show the battle the sacrifice and the lives that were lost for the freedom we have today. America is beautiful and the video shows this.

The Battle of Iwo Jima This battle was The Japanese versus Americans. It was supposed to last a short time but ended up lasting longer than expected with a lot of lives lost. This Monuments purpose is a reminder of the accomplishments made by our military veterans, both living and deceased, in past conflicts and the continuing sacrifices made by our veterans protect the freedoms we as Americans enjoy today.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) is a national war memorial located in Washington, DC, that honors members of the US Armed Forces who had died in service or are unaccounted for during the Vietnam War

The 3 soldiers is a short distance away from the wall is another part of the memorial, a bronze statue named The Three Soldiers (sometimes called The Three Servicemen)

We need to be proud of our heritage. The people who fought for our country then and are still fighting for it now. We live where there is freedom. Freedom to speak, freedom of religion ect...

If I could plan a vacation I would go to New York and see the Statue of Liberty.

Rushmore is important to our pride because the presidents are from America and no where else. Mt. Rushmore is important to our heritage because they are American presidents from the United States and they are role models. The Statue of Liberty is also really important to our history because it is like our national icon. She represents America and will always be standing. We should be proud of our heritage because Americans are free. If I were to be able to plan a trip within the United States I would travel to New York!!! I absolutely would love to go there and shop, especially at Christmas time. There are so many pretty lights and shops have colorful displays in the windows. Some of the national monuments in this video were Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty. Mount Rushmore is in South Dakota. It is a mountain that has been sculpted, into the faces of four famous and important presidents. These presidents include, George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, and last but not least, Abraham Lincoln. The statue of liberty, is a huge statue I New York, New York. It was a gift from the French to the English. It is also located on Ellis Island, in the Hudson River. The significance of our history, pride, and culture is all of the things, or monuments, that people think of when they see America. Our history is significant, because of all of the things we have gained from it and all that we have learned from our past. If I were to plan a trip to anywhere in the united States, I would travel to South Dakota because of all the great sights of mountains and plains. Mount Rushmore is also in South Dakota, and it would be a wonderful place to travel to. Ray Charles is a famous, blind singer. He also sang the song in this video clip.

Two monuments in this video that are personally my favorite (even though that doesnt matter) are the LINCOLN MEMORIAL and THE WALL OF VETERANS IN WASHINGTON D.C. I have also seen both of these in person. The history of the LINCOLN MEMORIAL is that president Lincoln was a very god president he was a great leader then he was killed in the theatre. He really gave Americans the freedom they deserved. The wall of Veterans shows respect and appreciation to those who fought for our freedom and were killed. We should be proud of our heritage because it's basically who we are and we are pretty awesome people. We also live in the country that has the most freedom. If I could plan a trip to anywhere it would probably be to Alaska. I have never been there and I always wanted to go. I would pass over Mt. Rushmore but I dont think there are historical monuments in Alaska. Ray Charles is an awesome singe. He also plays the piano but the amazing part is that he is blind. He sings the song that was played during this film.

There were many monuments or symbols that were in this video, but two that I could reconize was the Statue of Liberty and Mount Rushmore. The Statue of Liberty is a big part of our country because it was given to us by France to show a symbol of friendship and peace. Mount Rushmore is also important because it represents the first 150 years of the history of the United States. It also shows four of the past fourty-three presidents.George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
We should be proud of our heritage because it is were we our from and it shows who we are and where we have come from.
If I were to be able to pick a place to travel within the United States it would be Maine. The reason I would want to go to Maine is because it isn't really hot but it's kind of cold and I like cold weather. Plus there are a few places to ski in Maine, and I would like to go on the beaches and see all the lighthouses. None of the monuments that I remeber were from some place in Maine.

The Statue of Liberty and the American Flag are two monuments/symbols depicted in this video. The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the United States from France. It was placed in New York on Ellis Island and has become one of the first things that people have seen coming into this country. Therefore, has become a universal symbol of freedom for many immigrants. The American Flag is depicted in the film it was sewn by Betsy Ross. George Washington asked her to sew it. The flag represents America's freedom, patriotism, it is how America signs it's name. If I was going to plan a trip within the United States I would plan to go to California mainly to shop,of course, but I guess while I was there I would check out some of the national forests and parks there. This video showed a lot of America's important places, statues, symbols, and other things. I knew several of the monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Mt. Rushmore, Niagara Falls, Statue of Liberty, and of course we saw the American Flag.
The two monuments that I'm going to talk about are the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Statue of Liberty.
The Veterans Memorial is important to Americans because it shows just how many people love their country and want to serve it. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a national war memorial located in Washington, D.C., that honors members of the U.S. armed forces who had died in service or are unaccounted for during the Vietnam War.
Its construction and related issues have been the source of numerous controversies, some of which have resulted in additions to the memorial complex. The Memorial currently consists of three separate parts: the Three Soldiers statue, the Vietnam Women's Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, which is the most recognized part of the memorial.
The main part of the memorial was completed in 1982 and is located in Constitution Gardens adjacent to the National Mall, just northeast of the Lincoln Memorial. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is maintained by the U.S. National Park Service, and receives around 3 million visitors each year. The Memorial Wall was designed by U.S. architect Maya Lin. The typesetting was performed by Datalantic in Atlanta, Georgia.
Now, I'll tell about the Statue of Liberty. Statue of Liberty (Statue de la Liberté), is a large statue that was presented to the United States by France in 1886. It stands at Liberty Island, New York in New York Harbor as a welcome to all visitors, immigrants, and returning Americans. The copper patina-clad statue, dedicated on October 28, 1886, commemorates the centennial of the United States and is a gesture of friendship from France to America. Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi sculpted the statue and obtained a U.S. patent useful for raising construction funds through the sale of miniatures. Alexandre Gustave Eiffel (designer of the Eiffel Tower) engineered the internal structure. Eugène Viollet-le-Duc was responsible for the choice of copper in the statue's construction and adoption of the repoussé technique. This monument is visited by millions of American's every year, though you cannot go up inside of it anymore because it is claimed "unsafe", but most think this is to prevent a terrorist attack on the Statue of Liberty or something like that.
If I were to travel anywhere in MA, I would want to go to Maine because I personally, think Maine's southern beaches are beautiful, though they have a different kind of beauty than the more southern beaches. No, none of these monuments are in Maine.

The two monuments I saw in the video were the faces on Mount Rushmore, and the flag raising memorial for the veterans of the Battle of Iwo Jima. Mount Rushmore was cut into a mountain in South Dakota by an artist named Gutzon Borglum, and the war memorial. It is dedicated to the men who raised the American flag over the Japanese held island in 1945. The significance of our culture is that we don’t just have one culture. America is a blender of cultures that have come over to our nation for many years, and that is like no other country that I know of. We should be proud of our heritage because, America is made of all kinds of heritage that our ancestors brought over with them, and I think we should be really proud of that singularity. If I were to plan a trip within the country, I would like to go to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I would like to go there because, the Liberty Bell is located there. Also because, that is where many of our country’s earliest founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, one of the world’s most valued documents. Ray Charles was a man who was blind, and sang some of the best Jazz, R&B, Piano Blues, and ect. He was born on September 23, 1930, and died on June 10, 2004, at the age of 74.

That was a very good video. I also liked the music. Ray Charles was a very tallinted pianist considering the fact that he was blind. Ray no longer plays considering the fact that he died on June 10, 2004. But he was very talented.

We live in a beautiful country and I would love to see all of it. Some of the national monuments I would like to see include the Lincoln Memoriol, Mt. Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty, and most of all Ground Zero were the twin towers use to stand. I would also like to see all of the civil war battlefeilds. Thats what I would want to see in our coutry.

I think that we should be proud of our herritage because with out it we can't call ourselves Americans. many important people beleived in this free country like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., our founding fathers, and Goerge Washington. Thats why we should be proud to be Americans.

One of the monuments in the video was the statue of liberty in New York City. It was given to the U.S. by the French in the 1800's and it still stands today. And the statue represents everything we stand for and thats life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness.

Another symbol of the U.S. was the American flag. The flag stands for everything American. With out that flag there is nothing to represent us. And everything American truely is beautiful.

This video was pretty good. It pretty much summarized America's culture into one video. I recognized Mt. Rushmore, which was carved by Gutzon Borglum and 400 other workers carved it between 1927 and 1941. It really is amazing to think that they carved the presidents' faces into that huge mountain. Another monument I recognized was the Lincoln Monument in Washington, D.C. Abraham Lincoln (He hated being called "Abe") was the 16th president of the United States and was president during the Civil War. He was a great president and served until his assassination in 1865.
I think we should be proud of our heritage because we descended from people who came over from Europe with almost nothing and built up this country from the ground. We are also a powerful country. If I could travel anywhere in the United States, I would go to Maine and eat lobster. I don't think any of these monuments would be included in my travel, though. Maine isn't exactly a huge historical place of the United States, but hey, they have lobsters!

I recognized Mount Rushmore and the Lincon Memorial right off the bat.Mount Rushmore has the faces of what many consider the greatest presidents of the history of the United States. The Lincon Memorial is the memorial to the 16th president and the presiden the abolished slavery. The reason I think that we should be proud of our heritage because that over 200 years our soliders have fought for our freedom and some have died and we shouldn't let they're deaths be in vain. If i planned a trip in the U.S I would go toD.C to see the white house and go to the top of the washington monument and then I go to Jamestown the spot where the first settlers settled. Many people and I have had arguements because many think that Plymoth Rock is where they landed, but later it was discovered that at after the civil war the "Yankees" started telling people that the the first settlers settled in plymoth because jamestown was in the hesrt of the confederecy. This video of America symbolizes our culture, pride, and history. Many captions from in this broadcast such as the Lincoln Memorial, and the American Fag depict the strong love and patriotism that America has.

One of the two monuments or symbols I chose from the video was the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the United Sates from France. It is located in New York City. This amazing gift symbolizes liberty and freedom to all of America. The statue can also be a great place for tourists.

The second image I selected from the movie is Mt. Rushmore. This mountain gives a brief bit of history to the new comers of the world, in a carving of four very important presidents. The faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are depicted onto the mountain.

Any true American should be proud of their heritage. Why? Well, as a citizen you should be grateful; that because of certain people that have changed history without them America wouldn't be the same, technology, or freedom wise.

If I were to plan a trip to anywhere in the US I would go to California. My uncle lives in California so that would definitely help the trip. Of course the picture form the video of the American Flag could be found here.

Ray Charles Robinson, also known as Ray Charles, was a pianist and soul musician. He played all kinds of music: pop, country, blues, etc. An addition to his passion for music he was also blind. To make the accomplishments that Ray made for having his disability he is known through out the world.

The video was mainly about what people and things symbolize our beautiful country. One of the monuments was the Statue of Liberty. Liberty Enlightening the World, or more commonly known as The Statue of Liberty, was given to the US by the French on October 28, 1886. The Statue of Liberty was given as something to symbolize peace between the France and the USA. The second monument I chose is Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima. The flag raising was done on February 23, 1945. The six men who put the flag on Iwo Jima are Ira Hayes, Franklin Sousey, John Bradley, Harlon Block, Michael Strank, and Rene Gagnon. Their significance in our history, pride, and culture is that the monuments show that we are strong and full of pride. It also shows that many Americans are willing to give their lives to protect the pride that we have worked so hard for. That proves we are strong and it motivates others in our country to do the same. If I were able to go anywhere in the US, I would probably go to New York. I have never been there, but I have friends that have and they say it is so cool. The statue of Liberty would be included in my travels. I would love to see it. The two monuments that I identified first were Mt. Rushmore and Niagara Falls.

Mt. Rushmore has the faces of four important presidents in history from our culture. This mountain has George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln carved into the side of it. This huge monument attracts about two million people a year!

Niagara Falls is a set of waterfalls located on the Niagara river of Canada. They are very huge and attract much tourism. These falls are so beautiful. I think these falls are a small description of America, because America is beautiful.

Everyone should be proud of where they come from because it makes you feel better about yourself. We also should be proud of everything that we have accomplished since the beginning of America.

If I were able to plan a trip within America, I would choose to go to Canada to see the Niagara falls. I would just love to sit there a listen to the water fall to the bottom and splash into more water!

Ray Charles, was a pioneering American pianist and soul musician who shaped the sound of rhythm and blues. He brought a soulful sound to country music and pop standards.

The statue of the soldiers lifting the flag and the statue of liberty are two monuments depicted in the video. The statue of the soldiers lifting up the flag is very significant in our history, pride, and culture. For example, it is significant in history because it was a huge milestone in World War 2, it was significant to pride because that was the second rising of the flag, and finally it was significant to our culture because it represents a huge part of our past. The statue of Liberty is also a monument depicted in the film. It is significant to our history, pride, and culture like the other statue. It’s significant to history by how its represents and makes people think of immigration to America from other countries, it is significant to pride because it shows that immigrants are welcome to not only our country but our freedoms and liberties, and it is also significant to our culture because it shows a huge area of our culture which is diversity. We should be proud of heritage because we have achieved a lot and over come many difficulties. I would like to travel Route 66. I don’t know if there would be any of the monuments along the way???? It was a gift to the United States from France. It has become a symbol of the United States and expression of freedom to people all over the world. When immigrants come to the United States, it is the first thing they see when they arrive in our country. We should be proud of are heritage because-we have freedom safety and food for our citizens. If I were to plan a trip I would love to vist New York again.I think the New York is very interesting because of all the shoping, plays, ballet, and the ice skating rink.Ray Charles is the man who is singing in this video.

The two monuments I picked to identify are the Vietnam Memorial Wall which is in Washington, D.C. and the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The Vietnam Memorial Wall is very significant in our history. It has the names of all the men and womwn who served in the Vietnam War and lost their lives fighting. The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from people of france to the people of the United States and it is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy.

We should be proud to live in America. We have freedom of choice, religion, and speech. Other countries do not have the freedom we have here. I would not want to live anywhere else in the world.

If I could travel anywhere in the United States, I would travel to New York to see the Statue of Liberty. I have never been there. I would love to see how beautiful and big she is. I would also go to Washington, D.C. to see the Vietnam Memorial Wall. I would like to see the many names on the wall who died. My dad's uncle's name is on there. He was only 18 years old when he died serving in the war. I think that would be something to see.

Ray Charles is a famous soul singer who is singing the song in the background of this video. He is blind. He taught himself to compose music by Braille. He also played the piano and saxaphone. He became one of the most successful African-American artists of the 20th century.

This video showed a lot of historical things of America. There were many that I recognized in this video. The three things it seemed to show the most of though were the American Flag, the Statue of Liberty, and a lot of the significant statues of soldiers. The American flag is a symbol of our country. The first official flag was made by Betsy Ross in 1776. It was changed 26 times. Today's flag (50 stars) has been around the longest, for 47 years. The statue of liberty is also a very important symbol to our country. It was a gift from France more than 100 years ago to show our friendship. The French built the statue and we built the pedestal. The statue sits in New York Harbor. All of the statues of soldiers show that we are proud to fight for freedom and justice. Also, they show that all the soldiers and veterans are supported and respected. These are a few of the thing in this video that had important and historical meaning to me.

I think that we should be proud of our heritage because America has accomplished many great things. If we weren't proud of our heritage than we probably wouldn't do a good job protecting it. This is why I think it is important to be proud of our heritage.

If I were able to plan a trip within the United States I would fly to Hawaii. There are many cool things to do there. None of the monuments shown in this video would be there, but I would visit the Pearl Harbor monument.
Ray Charles is a famous blind musician. He sings, composes, and plays piano. He can do anything from country, to jazz, to blues, to R&B, to even funk. He changed modern-day music. He is a very emotional, great performer. He sang "America the Beautiful" in the video.

A monument featured in the video was Arlington National Cemetery. Arlington National Cemetery is a memorial to the nation’s courageous war heroes. Many men and women have served our country faithfully, knowing they are risking their lives and may not return home. Arlington National Cemetery gives anyone a chance to walk by the headstones of the men and women who have played a major role in making our country what it is today. They more than deserve to be honored distinctively.

Another monument featured is the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall. This honor’s the soldiers who died fighting America’s most divisive wars. Vietnam veterans had never been honored properly. Because many Americans did not agree with the war, they took it out against the soldiers. When this memorial was build, the soldiers who fought so bravely for their country, finally got a bit of the honor they deserve.

Finally, the Statue of Liberty is shown multiple times in the video for many reasons. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to honor the friendship and alliances between the U.S. and France. The Statue of Liberty is more than a monument to remember that alliance. It is a symbol of freedom for every free person in the world. The statue of liberty reminds us of the hard work and perseverance that brought us to being such a great country that we are today.

Every person of America should be proud of their heritage. The United States is a “young” country. We have only had our independence since 1776. The people of that time period had not fought for independence for very long. Most new countries couldn’t handle the sudden freedom, but the United States excelled far above that. We are a strong democratic nation; the most powerful in the world. Our country has made more progress in less than 250 years than some have come in many more. Every citizen of the U.S. has equal opportunities and many freedoms that people in other countries only dream of.

If I could visit anywhere in the U.S., it would be New York City. I have been there once, but there is so much to do there. Another place I would like to visit is Idaho, because of the beauty and recreational activities. I went white-water rafting on the Salmon River when I was eight, and want to do it again next summer. I have seen many of the monuments featured in the video and love to visit Washington D.C., and would definitely be open visiting the rest.

Ray Charles is a musician who became blind as a child. He still managed to learn to play the piano, clarinet, organ, saxophone, and trumpet. He sang the song “America the Beautiful” in the video

There were so many monuments to choose from but I picked two that I new mostly about. One of the monument is the Lincoln Memorial and it honors the 16 president in the United states. He was the president who freed the slaves. Also I noticed the Statue of Liberty and that was a gift from France to the United States. I am proud of our heritage because we have freedom and we have the best country in the world. If I had to pick a place in the united States I would pick Hawaii because of the warm weather, beaches, and the golf. No monuments in the video were in Hawaii. Ray Charles is a famous blind singer and piano player.

This video was really incredible! Sometimes I think we don’t realize what a great country we live in. It was interesting watching this video because I have seen almost every monument on it. Kids my age don’t realize the sacrifices that our ancestors have made for us. My grandfather was in the Air Force in Japan. It is a sacrifice to be in the armed forces. Many of the monuments represent the lives of famous people and consider their accomplishments.

The first monument that I had the opportunity to visit last spring was the Korean War Veteran's Memorial. I thought it was unique because it shows life sized men as though they were walking through a field. They salvaged photographs of the actual faces of men that fought in the Korean War. The artist that made the monument then put them up on the wall. Our guide told us that the pictures were there to humanize the war. I thought that was a really interesting detail of that monument.

The second monument that I got to visit was the Vietnam Wall. It is unique because it has every name of each person that was killed. My cousin Donald Slate was killed in that war and I got to see his name. He lived here in Fairmont and decided to go to the Vietnam War to defend our country. It was very sad to see his name. I am very proud that a member of my family fought for our rights. It is extremely sad that he had to loss his life doing it.

If I were to plan a trip, I would like to go out west. I would really like to see Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon. These would all be amazing places to visit. It would take several days to see all of those places since they are in different states. My family travels a lot and I have been to nearly every state on the east coast. I love to travel and see new things!

Ray Charles was a famous singer and piano player tht was blind. He played a lot of Rhythm and Blues. He died in 2004 and was well known for the song – “Georgia on My Mind”. He was known to be a genius with jazz and soul music. He is in the background of this video singing “America”.

Some of the national monuments in this video were Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty. Mount Rushmore is a big mountian that some of the presidents faces where made into. Mount Rushmore is in SD. The statue of liberty is a statue on a NY island that the French built for America. There is also one smaller version of the statue of liberty in France.

We should be proud of our heritage because we are one of the most developed and organized countries in the world. I think that we should all be proud, and free as we are supposed to be here in America. We should take pride in our advancments in war and land.

If I where to go anywhere i wanted in the U.S i would go to California. California is the perfect state for me, it has everything i ever wanted and needed. It has beaches, heat, hott boys, fun, tans, shopping, cities, and parties.

No, nothing in California is a monument show on the video. I dont reconize any monuments in california at all.

Ray Charles is a famous african american singer. He wasn't just a singer, he played the piano. Not only did he sing and play the piano, he was also blind. He was a very famous artist who everyone loved listening to. He wrote many famous songs, but recently pasted away.

This video "America" shows us all the symbols that represent America. The American Flag was one of the symbols they showed in this video. The 50 stars represent the 50 U.S. states and the 13 stars represent the 13 colonies. A monument would be Mt. Rushmore it represents the first 150 years of history in the U.S. with the four presidents. We should be proud and thankful of our heritage because there were many people killed in wars to get us to freedom. I would plan to travel to New York so I could see the Statue of Liberty and it wonderful history. Ray Charles was a singer that was blind and could still play the piano. He sang "America the Beautiful” He was born September 23, 1930 and died June 10, 2004.We should appreciate our history, because these leaders made the way for us.

One of the monuments was the Washington Monument which is a big pencil shaped monument. Another was the Lincoln Memorial which is a big Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair. I do not think there are any monuments in Texas from the film. Ray Charles in an inspiring blind pianist.

The two monuments/symbols that I am choosing are the ones that have the most meaning to me. I chose first the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. The second one is the American flag. First, I will answer all questions about The Vietnam Wall. The Vietnam Wall plays a very major role in our pride. I have a lot of pride for this monument because my grandpa was one of the lucky few to serve in Vietnam and survive. It plays a significant role in our history because it was a major war. Now, I will answer all questions on the American flag. The American flag plays a great role in all three history, pride, and culture. The American Flag has changed many times in the past and it shows how proud we are to have pride in our country. We should be proud of our heritage because our ancestors have fought many wars to fight for our freedom and we should cherish every moment we are alive in the world they have established for us. I have traveled there before and I absolutely loved it. I would plan my trip to Deep Creek Maryland just because I love the scenery and it is beautiful there. The American Flag is EVERYWHERE!!!!, but I doubt any other monuments would be seen there. Ray Charles was a blind black Jazz singer/pianist. He was one of the best Jazz singers ever and he only used his disease to his advantage.

One of the symbols I pick to identify is the bald eagle. A bald eagle is only found in America. It represents freedom and strength. The bald eagle is found on many of our coin to remind America of our freedom and strength.

When I think of America the first thing I think of is the American Flag. The American Flag makes me feel so proud to be an American. It means so much more then just a symbol. It affect many people differently, especially my grandpa. Every time he sees the flag he cries.

Heritage is something people take for granted. People always say that we have freedom, but I don’t think they understand the true meaning of it. We didn't have to work for it like someone once had to. Freedom was inherited to us by people who worked hard to have it .We have the freedom of choice, religion, and speech. A lot of other countries don't have the freedom that we do, and for that we are truly blessed.

If I were to plan a trip somewhere it would be a hard decision because there are many places I would like to go to. If I would have to pick one though, it would probably be Hawaii because I've always wanted to go there . It’s so beautiful and hot.

No, Hawaii wouldn't have any of the monuments depicted in the film.

Ray Charles was an African American singer who was blind. He was known for his unique singing and music. Not only was he a singer he also played the piano. He wrote many well known songs and was loved deeply. Unfortunately he died in 2004 from liver disease.

One of the monuments I saw in the video was Mt. Rushmore. Mt. Rushmore is located in Keystone, South Dakota. It is U.S. presidential memorial that represents 150 years of history in the U.S. It shows our pride for our founding fathers. The second monument I chose is the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was given to the U.S. in 1886 by France. She stands in the New York Harbor in New York. She was given to us by France as a friendly gesture. When I think of the U.S. the Statue of Liberty pops into my head. She's a big part of the American Culture. We should be proud of our heritage because it makes us who we are. If I were to plan to go somewhere I would want to visit San Diego California because that is where my Great Aunt Connie lives, and it seems like an exciting thing to do. I don't think there would be any monuments included in my travel.
Ray Charles was a famous blind, African American singer. He played the piano and sang. He was very talented and had some very famous songs.

Another monument Is mt. Rushmore. Mt. Rushmore is important to our history because it has the faces of some of our greatest faces. It is important to our pride because it has the faces of our presidents not any where else. Mt. Rushmore is important to our heritage because they were our role models. Wow, there were a lot of monuments in this video! There was mount Rushmore,
and the statue of Abe Lincoln. Mount Rushmore shows us many of our most accomplished presidents. They have done so many things and give the country much of its pride (the presidents not the monument). The statue of Abe Lincoln depicts one of America's greatest president (without him we wouldn't be a state!)There, also, would still be slavery. If we weren't proud of our heritage, we would most likely forget about it, and all the hard work the men who built this country up would have worked for nothing! If I could plan a trip I would travel to many places. I would plan to go south a little to D.C., then I would go west to Utah, looking at all the stops on the way (I would go to Utah because much of the important things in my religion happened in Utah). I would probably visit most of the monuments in the video, especially the ones I talked about.

Ray Charles is a famous singer; he is the one singing the song in the background. And no, I did not have to use google!

Mt. Rushmore is significant to our history because it shows 4 of the most influential presidents of America. They represent the first 150 years of American history. George Washington was our very first president and he played a major role in the founding of the United States of America. Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States and he was the author of the Declaration of Independence. Theodore Roosevelt was the twenty-sixth president of the United States, and a leader of the Republican Party and of the Progressive Movement. Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth president of the United States; he helped abolish slavery and he played a crucial role in the American civil war. The American flag is important to our history, pride, and culture because it symbolizes our freedom and our rights as Americans. It also shows that we are proud to be Americans. The flag has 50 stars which represent the 50 states. The 13 stripes represent the original Thirteen colonies. I think that we should be proud of our heritage because we our very lucky to live in America. We live in a nation where we have rights, freedom, democracy, and can be any race and still be accepted. If I could travel anywhere in the United States, I would go to Colorado. None of the monuments in the video are located in Colorado, but I would see mountains, American flags, and maybe a bald eagle. Ray Charles is a famous piano player and singer. He is very talented and he is also blind.

This video wasn't as entertaining as the other ones, but it had many events that have happened in history. Lots of the photographs showed many monuments of wonderful and terrible times here in the U.S.

Some of the monuments and symbols were Mount Rushmore, the Lincoln Memorial, the Bald Eagle, the Statue of Liberty, Niagra Falls, the Golden Gate Bridge, and last but definitely not least, the American Flag. These monuments and symbols each have their own meaning to everyone who is an American.

The American Flag has 13 red and white stripes which reprensent the first 13 colonies. There are also 50 stars, which represent the 50 states we have now.

We, as Americans, have a right to be proud of our heritage because we are a completely independent country. So many people each year come to the United States to live here for a better life. They come from places where people are crammed into their cities and told what jobs they will have.

I would probably travel to New Orleans because I would like to see how the city is being rebuilt since Hurricane Katrina. I don't think any of the monuments that were in the video are in New Orleans. I think that there should be a monument to honor all of the people who died, survived, and saved people from Hurricane Katrina.

Ray Charles was a famous African American singer who sang the song in the video. There is even a movie about his life. Many people were crazy about his amazing voice.

This video was very inspiring and made it a pleasure to watch. It showed many memorials and symbols that depict the U.S.
The two monuments that I had chosen were Mt. Rushmore and the Lincoln Memorial. Mt. Rushmore is a monumental granite sculpture located near Keystone, South Dakota. It represents 150 years of U.S. history. The sculptures are of four heads of former U.S. presidents. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. This monument shows the greatness of all of these men. These men showed how they provided many changes to mankind.
I also choose the Lincoln Memorial. This monument was erected to honor a great President. Abraham Lincoln did not get a chance to complete his presidency. We will never truly realize all the potential that he could have given to this country.
We have always been a country that prides its self of independence, honor and great pride.
My family and I have been talking about taking a trip to see Mr. Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon. I would also like to visit an Indian reservation someday. I think that it would be very endearing to see where it all began with the "true Americans".
Ray Charles was a very popular jazz/blues singer. He lost his eyesight at an early age. But his mother made him do as much as he could on his own. She did not baby him. He later became a much respected entertainer.

It is my favorite because it is so interesting to think that someone actually hand carved that mountain. Mt. Rush more is located in South Dakota. I think we should be proud of our heritage because like every other one it is very interesting and has its own qualities and different cultures. I think it is so interesting hearing of different heritages. Some of them are very unique. I think that if I were to plan a trip, it would b to Italy because I think it would be so interesting to see all the different monuments. I also think it would be really cool to go there to try something new there that we do not have in the United States. But we today will fight for our freedom cause our country is more exiting than any other country out there. I love my country cause were free and we will always be so when you go home you think about what our soilders been though and why we are free and don't think about how many more wars we are going to have, think about why we are free and what we have been though cause we are a very strong country and we need to start working together. peaceout guys

Two monuments that I recognized in this video were the Statue of Liberty and the Vietnam Wall Memorial. The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886. The Vietnam Wall Memorial was built to remember those who fought and died in the Vietnam War. We should be proud of our heritage because we are a free country and our country has made many important changes in the world. If I could go anywhere in the U.S. I would go to New York. I would be able to see the Statue of Liberty. Ray Charles was a very talented but blind musician. He was the one singing in the background.

This video showed many American monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial, Mt. Rushmore, and the Statue of Liberty. Mt. Rushmore is in South Dakota. It has the faces of four wonderful presidents... George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosavelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by France in 1886. It stands at liberty island in New York. The Lincoln memorial was built in honor of our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. It is located in Washington D.C.
We should be proud of our heritage because if it wasnt for the things that have happened in the past we would not be here today. Our country has very interesting stories behind it. Also because we are the most free nation in the world. We have faught in many wars for freedom and many people have been willing to die for our country to have freedom.

I would like to go all around the country one day and see all the beautiful sights and famous monuments. If I had to choose one place I would probably want to go to alaska. I have always wanted to go to alaska to see the weather conditons and the school systems and just everything about it seems interesting to me. I really dont think there are any famous monuments in alaska that were on this video.

I really did like this video because of the amusing things it shows that we have in America. Another of the monuments I liked the most was Mt. Rushmore because of the faces of Thimas Jefferson, Theodore Rosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington. Another favorite monument that was shown in the video was the Statue of Liberty which was given to the U.S. as a gift from France. Mt. Rushmore was built and carved by Gutzon Borglum in a mountain in South Dakota. The Statue of Liberty is in New York which stands for freedom for people everywhere.

Our heritage is very important because of all the freedom and liberty we have here in this country alone. Our heritage should be important to everybody in this country becaus e of all the soldiers that fought and sacrificed their lives for our country's rights to be free. The country has lost so many people from the U.S. and many other countries to fight the people that tried to take away the money, goods, and freedom that we have now. We also should be proud about how tough the people were and are about the losses and activations of soldiers in their families because those people are a big part of our country.

If I was to plan a trip to anywhere in this country, it would probably be to everywhere in California because I always thought it would be cool to go. If you think about it, CA is the complete opposite of West Virginia. It is where all the movie stars live and go on vacation because of the big cities are located. The Golden Gate Bridge would be one of the two amusing monuments that I would see that were depicted in this video. I would probably stop at South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore on my way back home.

Ray charles is one of my favorite singers that sings the oldies. Ray Charles is a blind musician that plays the piano and many other instruments. He has won many awards for his vocalist and musician talents. He is a wonderful blues singer.

I don't think I liked this video very much. It was basically telling you about the various symbols of America.

My first favorite was Mt. Rushmore because it has the faces of some of the greatest presidents from the past. It has the carved faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. They all did something amazing that changed the way we live today. My second favorite symbol was the Statue of Liberty. It shows that the USA will always (hopefully!;]) stand up for who we are. It also shows that the USA still has its freedom and like the saying will always be united as we stand, and divided as we fall.

Oh yea, Ray Charles was an African American man who was blind. But being blind didn't stop him from many things. He learned to play the piano and other instruments, and was also an amazing singer.

And OH YESS---> Ray is my boy!!! ;]

Two monuments I identified in this video were Mount Rushmore and rows of white head stones. Mount Rushmore signifies all the great leaders we have had in our country’s history. George Washington is the most familiar face to me among those. Abraham Lincoln is one I recognized too. I don’t know to much about the rows of white head stones, but i do know that it
is where a bunch of past soldiers are laid to rest.

We should be proud of our heritage because it helps us become who we
really are and who we will be in the future. If we weren’t proud of where we
came from, we won’t know where we are truly going in life because you don’t know what history what will repeat itself.

If I were to plan a trip to go anywhere within the United States, I would want
to visit each state. All of the monuments would be seen on my trip because
they are included in 1 state or another. I would have a hard time going on
this trip because I am deathly afraid of heights, so taking a automobile would be the only choice.

The first symbol I chose was the eagle. The eagle is known as being the symbol of the United States of America. It represents freedom, strength, pride, courage. All characteristics of the great bird and our great country. The second symbol I chose was the Arlington National Cemetary. This is significant of all the soldiers, and military persons that chose to fight in a war so that we, the people, of the United States could keep our freedom. These men and women were full of courage, pride for their country, and strong individuals who wanted the best for their families and friends. I have a great uncle who is buried at the Arlington National Cemetary. He was a retired Colonel in the Army. He was always ready to serve. He was in the Vietnam War.
We should be proud of our heritage because so many countries do not allow their citizens to have freedom. Freedom of religion, speech, etc. We do not have to be afraid of "who we are" in this country. Many people in history have risked their lives, fought both in wars and in the government to make sure we have this privilege to be free.
If I could go anywhere in the US I think I would choose Hawaii. This state has beautiful climate, beaches, it's warm, and I think I could do alot of fun things there on a vacation.
None of the monuments in this BLOG would be in my travels, but I could see Pearl Harbor where we were bombed by the Japaese.
Ray Charles, the man who sang the song, America, is a well known black man. He is an artist in the music industry. He is a negro, blind, plays the piano and sings. He has overcome many things in his life. He has had many great song hits in his lifetime. He could tell us about freedom, liberty, courage, pride and some of the other things we are to stand for in this country.

The first symbol I have chosen is the flag. I chose this because this is one of the most important things in our country today. This is so important because it symbolizes freedom as well as all of the people who fought and died for this country. The second monument I chose is the sunrise over the bay. I feel this is important because it symbolizes how beautiful our country really is. If I were able to plan a trip to the US I would go to Washington DC. I would go there because this is out nation’s capitol. As far as monuments go I would see Mount Rushmore because it is really beautiful and all of the work that went into it to make it. Ray Charles was a blind musician he was famous for playing the piano and singing. Shane Richardson

The United States Flag was also showed many times threw out the video. Again like the Statue of Liberty, it shows our freedom in the United States. We are so lucky to live in such a free willed country.
We should be proud of our heritage because we are one of the only countries able to have freedom and no fighting. We also have all the freedoms to speak and religion. In China they are not allowed to go to church, worship and bring up the name of God with out getting sent to jail.
I would plan to travel up to New York to see all the monuments, including the Statue Of Liberty. I have been to New York several times and have driven by the Statue Of Liberty, but I haven't actually been able to go in it.

This video showed any monuments in this video would be talking about two of them and why they were so important to the country and what they mean or stand for.

The first monument is Mt Rushmore.
It is located Keystone, South Dakota. It represents the first 150 years of our nation and who led us to success over those years. It has the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

The second monument is the statue of liberty. France gave it to America in 1886. It is a sign of friendship between France and America. The seven spikes on the crown represent the Seven Seas and seven continents. Her torch signifies enlightenment. The tablet in her hand shows the date of the nation's birth, July 4,1776.

To be honest I do not know where I would go, but it probably would include at least one of them. If I would travel somewhere I would make sure I would visit more than one places in that film.

Two of the monuments in this video were the Statue of Liberty and the Lincoln Memorial. The Statue of Liberty is important in our history because the French gave it to us in 1876 to celebrate our 100th year of independence. The Lincoln Memorial was built to honor the 16th president, President Lincoln, and since it was built there have been many famous speeches such as Martin Luthor King’s “I have a dream” speech. We should be proud of our heritage because we have had so many great people in our history that have made a difference in our nation today and in the world and we also have so many freedoms that some other countries do not have. If I could plan a trip to somewhere inside the U.S. I would plan a trip to go to Washington D.C. because there are a lot of monuments that I would like to visit there. The first monument I could reconize was Mount Rushmore. Their significance in history was having to deal with slavery, breaking away from England any many other heroic battles. The second was the Statue of Liberty. It's significance in history was in the name of the statue. Sure it was given to us but still the name says it all. After the terroists attack it meant more than it did before. FREEDOM!
We should be proud of our heritage for many reasons. One reason would be wars. All heritages have dealt with them.
If I were to plan a trip I would plan to travel all over the United States. The reason would be because I would just like to see it. Every single monument I could think of would be in that trip.

This video showed and summarized some of the great things of history. There were great statues, mountains, and symbols that represented our state. One of the mountains that caught my eye was Mt. Rushmore. There are four presidents faces carved in that thing they are: George Washington,
Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln. These four special people served there roll as president very good in my opinion. They each made up a lot of our history if the decisions they made, and things they did wouldn’t have happened our history wouldn’t be like it is. Another statue that affected me was the Statue of Liberty. It was given to us from the French. Now it is located in New York City that tall green monument. When I was little I used to think it was a lady holding an ice cream cone. Now I know that it has character and is a lady holding a burning torch. We should be very proud of our heritage! People all over the United States worked hard for what we have today. Our country has gone through ups and downs, but our nation has held together to get through this. If I had to plan a trip anywhere in the United States it would be to New York City. Though I have been there before I didn’t get to look at all the things I wanted to nor go to all the stores I wanted to shop at. When I go on that trip I would go to the Statue of Liberty, because I didn’t get to go to it the last time we were in New York. Ray Charles as a child was blind, but got through it and learned how to play many instruments, and he was a blues singer. Finally he just passed away in 2004.

I have been to Washington DC before and have seen most of the monuments in this video. I've seen the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Wall (listing of veterans), Arlington Cemetary, and the Battle of Iwo Jima.

The two monuments I have chosen for this blog are the Statue of Liberty and the Eagle. First, the statue of liberty stands for freedom to our country. Many imagrants came to ellis island when entering our country. The Eagle also stands for freedom. Our counrty is known as the Land of The Free.

If I could travel anywhere in the United States, I would travel to New York City. While visting this state, I might plan to make a trip to see The Statue of Liberty.

Ray Charles is a blind musician. He was an african American. He not only sang but he played the piano. I have not seen the movie that was made about Ray Charles, but what I have heard people said that he had a very hard life. Ray Charles is now deceased.

Ray Charles is among one of my favorite musicians, he became blind as a child and yet he still managed to learn to play the piano, clarinet, organ, saxophone, and trumpet. He sang the song “America the Beautiful” in this video.

One of the monuments featured in this video is the Arlington National Cemetery memorial. This memorial was placed to honor our nation’s selfless war heroes. Countless men and women have served our country to keep America free and many of them paid the ultimate price, so that I can live my life without fear. I visited this cemetery with my family a couple of years ago. It has an amazing effect on people as they walk through and see how many gave their lives so that others can live theirs in freedom.

The Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall was also featured in this video. This wall honor’s the soldiers that died fighting a war that most Americans did not want to be involved in. In fact, the soldiers were abused by many Americans, even though they had no choice but to fight because “uncle San” said they had to. This memorial does not even begin to pay them for all that they gave and lost, but it is a step in the right direction.

Another monument featured is the Statue of Liberty; it was shown various times during the video. This monument was given to the United States by France. This monument is a symbol of freedom given to us to honor the alliance between America and France. I had the opportunity to see this statue last year as part of a school trip. I remember thinking as I saw it and Ellis Island, “my great grandparents once looked at this same statue as they were entering this country for the first time.” I am sure that this statue gave them the feeling of hope and freedom. This monument has to be my favorite because I know what it must have meant to my grandparents as they passed it on their way to “a better life.”

This video was very cool. I have been to a few of the monuments that were in the video. Arlington National Cemetary is one of my favorites because the changing of the guard was fun to watch and the cemetery is sad when you see all of the white tombstones of people who have died serving our country. It makes you feel proud and you know why we are strongest country in the world. Also, President Kennedy's grave and the eternal flame was awesome. I think that Mount Rushmore is a great symbol of America with the heads of some of our greatest presidents carved into it.
It is amazing that those faces were carved into the side of a mountain.
If I could go to one of the monuments shown it would the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco because it looks really cool. It is huge and awesome to look at.

This video was very interesting; it showed many important monuments and symbols. Two of the monuments or symbols in this video were the Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty.
Mount Rushmore was built in 1927-1941 and is located in South Dakota. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodora Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are the faces on this mountain and were also the first four presidents of the United States. They put these heads on the mountain to symbolize the birth of our nation and fight for our independence for Washington’s head, the declaration of independence and the Louisiana purchase and why it important to govern through the people for Jefferson’s head, the growing international role of the united states for Roosevelt’s head, and the value of freedom and equality for Lincoln’s head.
The Statue of Liberty was given to us by the people of France in the 1886s. It is also know as “The Two Sisters”. It was made to honor our friendship between the United States and France. In 1924 it was authorized as a national monument and is visited by more then 5 million people a year. The Statue of Liberty is also known as a sign of freedom we have in the United States.
We should be proud of heritage because its sort of makes up who we are today. When we think about our ancestors we need to think about all the things they did to make their lives and the future better. When I think about my heritage I think about all my family and where they came from and who they were. We should be proud because it’s our ancestors that formed our country and fought for it, too. They also are the ones who invented all the technology and learn about things we didn’t know.
If I could go anywhere in the United States I would go everywhere. I chose this because I don’t just want to go to one place I would like to see all the different things in our country. I would like to see all the monuments and stuff in the film as well. I just can’t choose one place to go like it the best, I’ll never know if I don’t go everywhere.
Ray Charles is the person who song the song in this video. He is a blind man that is a soul musician. Charles wasn’t blind all his life; he started going blind at the age of six. He was born on September 23, 1930 and died on June 10, 2004

The last to monuments in the video are the American Flag and the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was a present from France to the United States. The Statue of Liberty is a universal symbol of freedom. The American Flag has fifty-two stars on it, which is how many states make up the United States. Whenever you see the Statue of Liberty or the American Flag you know that they represents freedom and that a lot of people have died keeping the monuments a symbol of freedom. We should be proud of our heritage because of how good we have it. For example we can vote for our leader and kick our leader out of office unlike some countries. Also if you are poor you can work hard and make something out of your life unlike some countries in which the rich people get richer and the poor people get poorer. If I could plan a trip to go were ever I wanted to go it would have to be New York. It would have to be New York because it is so culturally diverse and I could see the Statue of Liberty. Ray Charles was an old blues singer. When Ray was a child he went blind. Being blind didn’t stop Mr. Charles. He learned how to play the guitar, piano, and a lot of other instruments throughout his life.

The video was pretty good it showed how people symbolize this country. The Statue of Liberty has very important significance to our history . It was dedicated on October 28, 1886 and commemorates the centennial of the United States and is a gesture of friendship from France to America. The second monument would be Mt. Rushmore. I chose Mt. Rushmore because it is really cool in a way. Mount Rushmore was built between October 4, 1927 and October 31, 1941. It has major significance on our history because it is a carving of the four greatest presidents. We should be proud of our heritage because we have freedom unlike other place and that is the most important thing I can think of. Mount Rushmore is important to our history because it is carved to resemble some of our greatest presidents like George Washington and Theodore Roosevelt, to name two. The American flag is our Country’s symbol. It represents our states, with its stars and our original thirteen colonies , with its stripes.
We should be proud of our heritage because we have so much to be proud of. We have won some of the most memorable wars in history including, World War I, World War II, The Revolutionary War, and The Civil War, even though we were fighting fellow Americans. Aside from the wars we have some of the greatest mix of races in America, this is how we have so much great heritage.
I would plan to travel to New York City, New York to see some entertaining sites and buildings. Actually Yes, I would want to travel to a monument such as The Statue of Liberty, one of our most famous monuments.

This video made me think of how lucky I am to live in America. The American flag symbolizes the freedom in America. It symbolizes our country and all of the people who fight in the wars and defend us. It is the flag we pledge our allegiance to each morning at school. Mt. Rushmore is a rock none the less, but a special rock. This particular rock has four of our greatest presidents’ faces carved in it. This particular rock reminds us of our rights and how lucky we are to have them. If I was able to plan a trip anywhere in the United States, I have no idea where I would go. Rushmore and the Lincoln monument is that they are representiations of our presidents. Lady liberty shows freedom to anyone entering the USA LEGALLY!!! If I could travel to anywhere in the US, I would most likly go to Ground Zero. I don't think that any of the sites in the film I would plan to see. Ray Charles is a legendary singer/pianist/composer. He is also 73 years old.

Statue of Liberty is one of the monuments that was featured in this video. The monument was a gift from the French. It has become a symbol of the United. You can see this monument in New York. We should be very proud of what she means to us because even after 9-ll, our symbol of freedom still stands.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a national war memorial located in Washington, DC. It is a wall that shows the soldiers that fought for our freedom in 1970. We are blessed to have men and women go out ever day of our lives and fight for our freedom. They were fighting then and they are fight now to keep us free.
Ray Charles is a famous piano player that is blind.

This video really shows how majestic America is. In my eyes the most important symbol of america is the American Flag.

.........._________________________..........___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Some people look at the flag and just think of our country. Others think about freedom. Our flag does symbolize these things but there is more to it. Our flag tells a story. Sure there are fifty stars to represent the fifty states, but when I look at our flag, I think of our countries history. I think about all of the wars that we have fought in this country. I think of all of the veterans that suffered. I think about the 9-11 attacks and how our country has pulled together through all of these hard times. Because of this, I am proud of our heritage and I will go on to support and represent our majestic land.
Another commonly known, and important, monument in this video is the Statue of Liberty. To many people the Statue symbolizes freedom and of course liberty, much like the flag. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France. Many people think that it has always appeared green but it actually changed because of the weather damage.
Ray Charles was singing in the background of this video. He is well known for his music.

Two monuments or symbols depicted in this video were the statue of liberty and the united states flag.
The United Stated Flag shows that we are and independent country and shows that we are stand up for what we believe in
The Statue of Liberty shows that we are appreciative of what we have. We dnt miss use our rights and we take care of each other like a good country should.

One of my favorite is mt.Rushmore because how carved it is and how much dication the builders put into it.It must of toke some time to carve four of our very good presidents in into it.There are George Washington,Thomas Jefforson,Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln four of our best presidents.

My Second favorite is the staute of libarty which is in New York it stands for many things like freedom is a example,.She was a gift to the United States from France. We all should be very proud of what she stands to us.Them are to great things we as people have today.

The two monuments that I would identify are the Lincoln Memorial and the Statue of Liberty. The significance by the Lincoln Memorial is what an impact he made on the USA. The significance from the Statue of Liberty is to welcome immigrants, all visitors, and returning Americans. It is gestured as friendship from France to America.

If I got to choose a place to travel all around the USA, I would pick New York City. I have already been there once, and it was the greatest experience of my life. I have already been the to Statue of Liberty, but I never got to go inside or stand beside it. I drove past it on a boat. If I could go back to New York anytime soon, I would want to be up close and person with Lady Liberty.

Ray Charles was a soul musician.
I believe that he wrote his songs on life experiences and his work is very deep.

One of the symbols I pick to identify is the bald eagle. The bald eagle is found on many of our coins to remind America of our freedom and strength. A bald eagle is only found in America. It represents freedom and strength. My second favorite was Mt. Rushmore because it has some of the best president’s faces from the past. The faces that are carved into the rock are; George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. They all did something amazing that changed the way we live today. Everyone should be proud of where they come from because it makes you feel better about yourself. We also should be proud of everything that we have accomplished since the beginning of America. We should also be proud of our heritage because our nation is one of the most free in the world. I would probably travel to Arizona again because some of my family lives there and the grand canyons were amazing! Yes the grand canyons. I'm pretty sure Ray Charles is a singer.

Two monuments I noticed were Statue of Liberty and Niagara Falls because they stuck out the most. The Statue of Liberty is a major part in our history, pride, and culture because it shows what an amazing county we have become after starting from scrap. Niagara Falls is also amazing because it is a major part in our life's because it bring money into our economy from tourists. We should be proud of our heritage because we not only beat the strongest county in the world but we've also become an extremely prosperous country. I would go to New York because there is a lot of culture there and I want to see the Statue of Liberty because it is a major part in our life's. Ray Charles Robinson (September 23, 1930 – June 10, 2004) known by his stage name Ray Charles, was a pioneering American pianist and soul musician who shaped the sound of rhythm and blues. He brought a soulful sound to country music, pop standards, and a rendition of "America the Beautiful" that Ed Bradley of 60 Minutes called the "definitive version of the song, an American anthem — a classic, just as the man who sang it."[1]

We should be proud of our heritige because it was not easy for our ancestors to get here. They worked very hard to be able to live in an idependent nation. If I were to plan a trip in the United States, it would have to be to go to Los Angles, California.

In this video I noticed The Statue of Liberty which is a very important monument symbolizing our freedom, and it was a gift from France. Another monument was the Veterans Memorial which is a great way to show our respect to all who fought in the war. If I could go anywhere on a trip I would probably go to Niagra Falls for a third time because I think its very wonderful up there. Ray Charles was one of the greatest musicians to ever play. He played a variety of instruments.

The lincoln Memorial and Mount Rushmoore were in the video. They give us a solid, tangible link to our country's past. WE should be proud because our nation survived even though it is a democracy. Plus, there were a few very good inventions made here. I don't know where I'd travel around the US. I'd probably go to NYC and California. Most ikely, none of those monuments would be in the travel log. I think Ray Charles is a singer. He sang the song in the video.

One monument is the Lincoln Memorial. Thus memorial is special to our country, because it is in memory of a good president we had, who was shot and killed.

The other monument in this video was The Statue of Liberty. This monument is important to our country, because it was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986.

Their significance in history, pride, and culture is very great. They show what is some of our prize possesions, what we greatly appreciate, and what we honor. The song tells that we have great pride in America and we are very thankful for having it. We should be happy of our heritage, because we are who God mad us, and thats what we should appreciate. We could anybody else in some ruled country with no freedom, but God made us free Americans.

I would like to visit Hawaii or California. Yes, I would like to visit some of the monuments in this video. Some of them look pretty cool. (well just a little)

Ooohh Em Gee.
I love Ray Charles. He was one of the greatest. He is a jazz, R&B,soul, blues, and gospel singer.
He plays the piano, and he is blind also, but that doesn't stop him at all. He writes some of the best music. Me,my Grandpa, Teresa, and the rest of my family used to jam to his music all the time. He was born in Albany, Georgia on September 23, 1930. Music as the Raelettes. He has a song called "Georgia",and I love it. He has won 12 grammy awards and so much more.

In October 2004, there was a movie of his life called Ray. It was starring Jamie Foxx, who played Ray Charles. I thought the movie was the best. It was sad a lot of the movie, but it was good.

Sadly, He died June 10,2004
of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) in his home in Beverly Hills, California.
He will be sadly missed.

The two monuments that I saw in this video first were Mt. Rushmore and Niagara Falls. Mt. Rushmore has the faces of four important presidents in history from our culture. This mountain has George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln carved into it. This huge monument attracts about two million people a year. Niagara Falls are waterfalls located on the Niagara river of Canada. They are very huge and attract much tourism. These falls are so beautiful. Everyone should be proud of where they come from because it makes you feel better about yourself. We also should be proud of everything that we have accomplished since the beginning of America.
