Great Quotes

Select a quote from the video and explain its meaning. What is the most common quote used in the video? Do your parents or grandparents or coaches have any quoted that they use repeatedly. Do you know any phrases from songs that could be used as great quotes? Are there any quotes from athletes that you find inspiring?

The quote I chose was "Even the sweetest song will sound sour if you do not sing in your own key!" It basicly means that you shouldn't act like someone your not, you should always be yourself. the most common quote is "Do onto others as you wish them to do onto you." My stepmom always says "Never count your chickens before they hatch." witch means never make plans because your not sure that they'll happen. Michael Jackson "Man in the Mirror", "If you wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change." The quote "Just Do It!"

I choose the quote "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" That's probably the most common quote I hear, because my grandparents and parents use it! The meaning of it to me is that, treat people the way you would want to be treated! There isn't really a quote my coaches have used over and over. There are quotes that I find inspiring like "I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying" and "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, and others make it happen.” Both of there quotes are by Michael Jordan! I like many others quotes that inspire me, but those are the ones I choose to put on here.

The quote I picked was "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I think I hear this one the most. Esspeically from older people. My dad always tells me "if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin." That quote always makes me laugh. There is one line from a song. "Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase! Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze! It means no worries for the rest of your days! It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata!" That is my all-time favorite quote. There is one quote I know that's by Ray Lewis. "If you didn't have tomorrow what would you do today?"

I choose the quote "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" That's probably the most common quote I hear, because my grandparents and parents use it! The meaning of it to me is that, treat people the way you would want to be treated! I do not know a phrase from a song but I do from the Bible "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me." Philippians 4:13. Yes by Michael Jordan "I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. I don't do things half-heartedly. Because I know if I do I can except half-hearted results."

The quote I chose was "Opportunity is often missed because we are broadcasting when we should be tuning in." This quote means that if you are always being the person to speak, you will never learn anything else, because you never listen. The most common quote in the video would be about goals and how to reach them. My stepmother always says that "if you believe you will achieve." This means if you believe in yourself you will be able to achieve your goals. The song, "Until I Collapse" by Eminem means you should never give up trying. A great track runner always said, "I will not fail if I lose, but if I give up then I will fail.

I chose "Those on top of the mountain didn't fall there." The meaning of that is you have to be the best you can be and do not be any lower than that. The most common quote in the video was "Do unto others as you wish them to do unto to you." My dad uses a quote almost all the time, and I've used it a lot as well. "Suck it up, life's hard, wear a helmet." I can't think of any lines from songs but there are some quotes that are inspiring to me. One is "Failure is not an option."

The quote I chose is " If you accept who you are , you can become better than you are. " To me this means that you should never change who you are , but you should always try to improve yourself. The most common quote I think would be " Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you. " My dad always tells me quotes and such like that. There are many quotes from songs that inspire me ! Also , I have never really acknowledged any quotes from athletes.

I chose "Those who sing together always find a song." I chose this quote because my Mimi says it ALL the time. Even though she tells me to figure out on my own what it means, I have a good idea. I believe its saying that if you can get along you will always find a way. I hear this a lot so it is common to me. I am not sure of any good quotesa from songs these days unless its about drugs and sex. Also I am not sure of any quotes from athletes.

The quote I chose is "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." This qoute is probably the most common one I hear. The meaning of this is you should not do anything to others, that you would not do to yourself. It really is a meaningful quote. My mom always says quotes and such like that is very meaningful is by Katy Perry. "You don't have to feel like a waste of space. Your original cannot be replaced."

I choose "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" because it means to treat people the way you want to be treated. Yes, my grandparents acually use that quote too. I do know a phrase from a song that I absolutly LOVE! "Please dont judge me, and I won't judge you." It means a lot to me because belive it or not I get judged a lot on how I look, how i dress, and how i act. Yes1 Micheal Jordan said " What is love? Love is playing every game like it's your last. " <3 <3 <3 <3

The quote I chose was "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." The meaning of this quote is that never treat someone unfairly before you get to know them. Some people are ina bad mood from something that happened totally apart from the person, but are still mean to them. My family has bunches of quotes that come about all the time. I'm sure I could find a lot of good quotes in Drake songs because his lyrics are really meaningful. I don't know any athlete quotes but there are good quotes in the bible.

My quote is, " You should not fear death. but should fear never starting to live at all." I think it means don't worry about little things that you can't prevent so you might as well live your life to the fullest. I don't notice a specific quote used repeately, but there is a recurring theme. It is to live, laugh, love and don't have any regrets about how you lived. My soccer coach always say, " Leave it all on the field." It means as long as you play your game and play your hardest the score doesn't matter.( Even though we are second in the state so the score kind of matters). A phrase from a song that is a good quote is "Live while were young" It means take advantage of what you can do while you can still do it. Once you get older you will wish you had more good memories, but won't because you were to scared to make any. I like the quote," Hours of pratice, 90 minutes of domination" I don't know who said this, but I find it inspiring because even though the practices seem to go on forever, but it is so worth it walking to your car knowing that you did just dominate.

my favorite quote is "do work" by christopher boykin. they always say "do work" becasue they hear it from tv and everything. so they just repeat it over and over untill you tell them to shut up. I dont hear any great quotes from any songs but i guess someday i will find one. There is one quote that really like but i forget it.

My father uses it alot because he is all about respecting others.

My favorite quote is "I will find and I will kill you." The meaning to my phrase is he will find and he will kill you and I don't mean that :). There are no really big quotes in the movie it is just my favorite quote. My faimly really don't have a favorite quote but we use a varitey. Yes I do know one song that could be used as a good quote it is "I can't stop." I don't really find any inspiring though they are good quotes.

I chose do unto others as you want them to do unto you. I think it's a great saying. If you want to be treated good you have to treat other people good to. Why would people treayt a mean person good. They wouldn't but they might to a nice person. My family and I know that saying because it's in the bible. We try to do it. Sometimes it's hard to be nice but that's what you have to do.

The quote I chose is: "If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours". I believe that ths quote has a very caring type of meaning. You never know what people are going through and if someones not smiling, it doesn't make them mean or not happy. Sometimes some people just need someone to cheer them up for a change. My mom constantly uses the quote: "Treat others as you wish tobe treated." Its very important to treat others with repsect and dignity if thats what you want.
One of my favorite phrases from a song called Iris is: "I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think they'd understand. When everythings meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am." My favorite quote from an athlete would be: "I can accept failure. But what I can't accept is not trying". By Michael Jordan.

“A man may die, empires may rise and fall, but an idea lives on forever” simply means that an idea will never be forgotten through the test of time. The most common quote in this video is “Don to others what you wish others will do to you”. I can’t think of anyone at the moment who uses any kind of quote. I can’t think of any song lyrics that could be used as quotes in life. No, there aren’t any quotes from athletes that I find insiring. This is mostly because I prefer to watch them compete in their sports rather than listen to what they have to say.

I chose the quote "Do unto others as they would have them do unto you." That's a quote that I hear and see everywhere. What it means to me is, treat others how you would want to be treated. I can't recall any quotes from a song worth writing, so I chose a quote from the Bible: "Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 NIV
A quote by an athlete would have to be by Michael Jordan: "I've always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. I don't do things half-heartedly. Because I know if I do I can except half-hearted results."

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" means that if you don't want to be treated badly don't treat others badly. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you is probably one of the most commonly used quotes. My coach always tells us to walk off the field with our heads held high no matter what the score is. It isn't an actual quote but it would make a great quote. I can't think of any song lyrics that would make good quote. I can't think of any quotes from any athletes.

In songs, there are a lot of lyrics with quotes in them. Consequently, I don't remember any of them at the moment, but they are very inspirational. "My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength." -Michael Jordan! In my opinion, this quote is very inspiring to me!

"Get a good idea and stay with it. Work it until it is done right." This is the quote that I am using in this blog. It means that If you have a good idea, don't waste it, use it until that it is just like you thought it. I do know of a quote that was really cool. I saw this on the day before Super Bowl 43. "It is not about what you are capable of, it is about what you are willing to do"- Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach. It means to do something, you don't have to be capable of doing something, you have to be willing to do it.

The quote that I chose is to not point a finger. The most common quote I see is a flower the follows the sun does so even on cloudy days. My parents really don't say any quotes repeatedly. I dont know any quotes in any song other then dont point a finger. I do know one quote from Michael JordaN saying that "I can except failing but I can't except not trying".

The quote I am chosing is the quote, "Some people complain that roses have thorns, whereas others are thankful thats thorns have roses." The quote means that some people see the world for its good and others see it for the bad in the world. The quote used most often in the video is one having to do with how you deal with tings in life and how they come at you so fast. My parents are always telling me that something done is better than something said and it annoys me after a while. Most songs now-a-days don't have much inspiring advice advice and athletes are often seen as bad influences among society.

The quote I chose was "The difficulties we experience always illuminate the lessons we need most" I think that the quote means that what we find hard is what we need to learn. The most common quote is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Many teachers and adults have said this a lot. My parents always tell me the quote "Treat others the way you want to be treated." A quote from one of my favorite songs is "If you jump I will jump too, we will fall together from the building's ledge. Never looking back at what we've done, we'll say it was love. I will die for you, on Skyway Avenue" This song is called Skyway Avenue and it reminds me that there will always be someone out there who will do that for me. I do not really know any quotes from athletes.

The quote I chose was, "if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours." I think this means that if you see someone that might be having a bad day, or for any other reason is sad, you should make them happy. The most common quote I've heard is, "do unto others as you wish them to do unto you". I've heard this quote a lot. One quote that I hear often from my grandfather is, "a blind man on a galloping horse wouldn't notice". This one always makes me laugh. I do know a good quote from a song. The guns n' roses song, "Civil War" states, " what's so civil about war, anyway?" Ithink this brings up a very good point. I've heard a quote from a hockey player, Wayne Gretzky, " you miss 100% of the shots you don't take".

I chose the quote "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". It means that do things to people and they shall do them to you. The quotes mean the same so they are used the most. No they don't or they just don't tell me anything. The phrase I can do all things through christ is something I always think about when I do things I'm not used to. The quotes from michael jordan are the best and can help you in thinking that you can do anything you set your mind to. Most athletes come up with the best quotes to use in life and that will help you.

I have chosen the quote "a flower that follows the sun does so even on cloudy days". This quote basically means that a person who works hard to make their dreams a reality doesn't slack off no matter how horribe a day they are having is. The most commonly used quote isn't really a defanite quote, but it does have a defanite meaning:be nice to others, be true to yourself, don't give up on you dreams, blah blah blah, rainbow, pony, smiley face. There is one quote from my parents that is stuck in my head ( not that I actually pay attention to it ), this particular quote is sopmething no doubt half the planet has heard as well..... if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all( world's most ignored quote ). The only phrase I can think of from a song that would be a decent quote is "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" I also believe that the quote is only true if you believe it, and I don't like suporsticious junk and mind tricks like that. The onl mind trick I have ever allowed myself to believe is a dream catcher ( if you think that it will keep away bad dreams you won't have bad dreams but the dream catcher had nothing to do with it other than convincing you not to have bad dreams, but that is why it works, even though I am aware that it is not real, I still have my dream catcher because of the mind trick. It's hard to explain ). I pay no attention to pro athletes, so obviously I don't know any quotes from athletes to be inspired by.

The quote I chose was, "If you accept who you are, you can become better than you are." I think this quote means that if you accept that you are not perfect, you can work to make yourself all that you want to be. This qoute, although I have never heard it, is very inspirational. The quote in the video that is most commonly used is, "Do unto others as you wish them to do unto you." When training for track my coach, Erika, said, "No pain, no gain." In the song Firework by Katy Perry, a line that could be used as a quote would be, "After a hurricane, comes a rainbow." It is a good quote because it means that even if something bad happens, something good will come out of it. I cannot think of any quotes from an athlete, so I can't say I know of one that is inspiring.

The quote that stood out the most to me in the video was, “Those on top of the mountain didn’t fall there.” What this quote means to me is that you have to work at everything you do. Most things in life aren’t just handed to you; you have to have the dedication and determination to accomplish the things you really want. The most common quote that I hear, and hopefully would be seen as doing is, “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.” I hate when I see people without a smile on their faces and I always try to change that.
I’m not sure if this is considered a quote, but my mom always tells me, “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say nothing at all!” My parents often have told my brother and sister that. This quote means exactly what it says. Meaning, don’t say anything that you’ll get in trouble for, that you’ll regret, or that will hurt someone else’s feelings. Spread positivity.
One line from Ed Sheeran’s song, Grade 8, is a great quote that everyone could practice. “Be a true heart, not a follower,” is a quote that I love. This practically means to not be anyone or anything that you’re not.
Sadly the athletes that I look up to haven’t said any quotes that I can relate to. However, I will look out for some, all the while practicing the ones that mean something to me.

My favorite quote from this video is, “To lead a symphony, you must occasionally turn your back on the crowd.” In this case, the symphony in this quote is referring to your life and in order to make it perfect, you sometimes have to turn your back on the crowd, the people surrounding you, and make it the way you need it to be. There is no quote that is repeated more than once..
When I use to cheer, I had a coach that was very supportive and helped me through thick and thin. When I broke my arm, she told me, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” I believed her and continued to cheer. I became the best on the squad and my arm no longer troubled me. In fact, there is a song called,” What doesn’t kill you make you stronger.”
I have a favorite athlete, but he doesn’t say much. If he did have one quote, I think it would be.” Those on the mountain didn’t just fall there.” He had to work hard to become the excellent player he is today.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you' means do not do something to someone that you don't want them to do to you. That is probably the most common quote I hear becuase it is like the thuumber rule or golden rule. Yes manyy of my coaches preach "it doesn't matter how big or how strong you can still win". Yeah I know many songs that have quotes in it that motovate me. Any quote athletes post are motovational to me because all athletes inspire me!

I chose the quote " Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I think this quote means treat others the way you want to be treated. I think I hear "Do uto others as you would have them do unto you" is the most common quote I have heard. My family members don't use qoutes often but every speaker I have heard that's talked about bullying always say this quote. I can't really remember any quotes from song right now but I know there are some. I not much of an athlete so I don't really know any quotes from athletes that inspire me.

I chose the quote, "If you accept who you are, then you can start working to becaome better than you are." I think this quote menas that if you like who you are now, then wait to see who you are in the future. You can always improve yourself, by doing the things you love and helping others do it as well. The quote used the most is the "Do unto others as you would have them to unto you". My Grandpa jokes around all the time and he always calls me and my family monkey breathes. He says, "One of you kids have bad monkey breathe." One quote that I think is good from a song is, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I don't know of any athletes quotes though.

I chose the quote, "Do unto to others, as you would have them do unto you." I think that this quote is very important when it comes, to treating people right. It shows that it's not fair to treat someone very poorly, and expect them to treat you perfectly in return. This quote is very common when it comes to everyday things. My grandparents, and coaches commonly use this quote at me.

There are several different phrases from songs that could come in handy. One of my favorite is "Everybody dies, but not everybody lives." -Drake. I can't think of a quote that my favorite athlete has said. However, this summer I went to the Olympics Training Center in Denver, Colorado and I saw a quote that definately stood out in my mind. "Practice as if your the worst, Play as if you are the best." -Unknown

I have selected the lovely quote,"Some people complain how roses have thorns, but others are gracious that thorns have roses." This means many different things actually. To begin with, it states that some people see things differently than others. It also explains how some people are always wanting something and are ungrateful towards the stuff they have. These are the people who would see roses having thorns. The people who have had it rough, and have gotten strong and tough throughout their life, are the ones that see the thorns having a beautiful rose. Basically, to the tough, a rose would is abnormal to them, when all they see are thorns. Metaphorically, to the soft, thorns would stick out like a sore thumb, literally. As everyone has said already, the"Do unto others as they would do unto you," is the most common quote used here, obviously. I do understand what it means, but sometimes, it is just too hard to follow. Reason being, I like to joke around with my friends. They know that is just my personality. Another part of my personality is very sensitive. I really do not know where I get it from, but I know I can get really emotional sometimes. My grandmother is a very, let's just say, old-fashioned and opinionated person. She is always saying these old quotes and saying country-related phrases. I think that it would be best, if I not put what she says on this blog,...if you know what I'm saying. Anyways, she does repeat and state a lot of quotes. My coaches also say a lot of qoutes. For example, my dad says"If winning isn't important, why do they keep score?" I think this is a logical quote. WHy would someone play, if they wanted to lose everytime. Some people say,"YOLO." I prefer to say," Just do it!",instead, because in life, you have got to do what you have got to do! I do know some lyrics from songs that could make wonderful quotes. "Even the skies, they, burn, some even fall to the earth!" It means that you are not the only one/thing that is hurting and being beaten down. There are jsut so many different quotes from many different athletes, that I cannot chose!

The quote that I chose says, "The trouble with most of u is that we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism. I'll explain it in an example: Let's say your fifteen years old and when you kick the ball it goes ten yards. In this case we would rather be told, "Good job. Keep up the good work," instead of, " You really need to put some power behind it and get your foot under it." The most common qoute that I hear would be, " Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I heard it ever since I was in preschool. My mom always says, " Move out cadets." She usually says it in the morning and it means get out of the house because we are about to leave. No I don't have any phrases from songs. Do unto others as they you wish them to do unto you means, that even if someone is mean to you, you should be nice to them because that's what you want done to you. Some may say that you should be mean to them, because they were mean to you, but that is like fighting fire with fire, and someone always gets burned. I'd say that the most commonly used quote used in my family and friends from the video is "Do unto others as they do unto you". I never really pay attention to my grandparents when they speak, unless they're talking to me, because it's not usually something interesting or useful. "It's not about the money", from Jessie J's song "Price Tag." I don't pay attention to sports news or athletes speaking unless I find it useful to my daily life, so usually never because most of them, like any athletes are pompous jerks.

I think this one is the most common one used especially in school. You constantly hear this around the school. No, none of my relatives or coaches have really used a quote repeatedly. No, I do not really know of any phrases from songs that could be a great quote because I usually do not pay much attention to the lyrics in the songs. "You cannot win unless you learn how to lose." This quote was by Kreem Abdul-Jabbar. I find this quote very inspiring and teaches me alot of things.

The quote I chose was "those on top of the mountain didn't fall there." I think it means the people on the top, of the mountain or in life, didn't just end up there, they worked hard for where they're at. The most common quote is "do unto others as you would have them so unto you." My dad has a quote he reads before soccer games. It's "I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can still do something. I will not refuse to do the one thing I can do." It's really congusing, but fitting before a soccer game. Yes, I know of plenty of songs with meaningful lyrics and phrases. An atletes quote from Jim Valvano is "Never give up! Faliure and rejection are the first step to succeeding."

the quote that I chose was "Those on top of the mountain didn't fallthere." Basically what that means is that those who are on a high ranked levels, and who are professionals, weren't just born and then automatically became famous. They had to work long and hard to get to that position that they're in. One quote that my cheerleading coacha always says is, "Cheerleaders weren't born being great. They only acheieve greatness." I absolutly love that quote!! <3 One quote that is way to over used is "You only live once" haha . I don't really know any quotes that athletes say that are very exspiring.

I don't like to do work because its boring, but i have to, to get a good job. Yes, Life is a choice and death is a decision. It is off of one of my fav songs called blunt blowin by lil wayne. No, i don't really listn to athletes cause they are so stuck up, but i'm not going to be like that when i play football, im going to be my old stupid funny self.

“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.” - William W. Purkey
i choose this quote because it pretty much explains itself. My grandmother said it all the time before she had a brain anerisum. You must life live to the fullest you only live once but if you do it right once it is enough! You might not live life all the way thats why you have to live life like its your last!"you only life once thats the motto" Drake once said in one of his songs called "Y.O.L.O" which you must salready know most of us only live once. Also, Micheal Jordan once said "JUST DO IT!"

The quote I choose was "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you" It means do what you want others to do to you. The most common wold be "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you".

The quote I choose was those at the top of the mountain did not fall there. This statement is very true to get to the top you have to work. I disagree with the statment it's lonley at the top at the top are the few that worked hard and stayed away from the things that could tear them down. Often it's those people that are the great friends that actually care about you. if your not at the top you'll always be struggling to get there, and often if you made the wrong choices you never get there.

I would choose "Do unto others as you would them unto you." I would want people to treat my in a good way so i would treat them the way i would want to be treated. Yes alot of people say this but not everyone does it. My mom alawys told me to treat people the way you wanted to be treated so i do. I can not think of any quotes that i can think of that stand out to me.

The most common quote that I have heard is that you should treat people the way you want to be treated. My parents, grandparents, and coaches all dont have any quotes that they have told me repeatedly.I have never heard any quotes from a athelete.
