I have been to museums in Puerto Rico when I was younger, but I don’t remember much. I don’t want to be the person that picks Mona Lisa, though. I choose to write about a favorite of mine and its painter. La Scapigliata, also known as The Lady With Disheveled Hair, is beautiful. She is painted in tones of old photograph sepias and silvery browns. The Lady looks like a caring woman, one with experience as a mother, yet her round features show a sense of grief.
I’ll never know what Leonardo da Vinci wanted her to look like because I can not ask him, but like the Mona Lisa, there is more to it than what you may see. Mona Lisa has a half smile suggesting she knows something we don’t as The Lady has experienced a sadness that is inevitably there. I’ve heard painting is a way to express yourself, and I can’t help but wonder what da Vinci might’ve wanted to tell us through his art.
Leonardo was a very skilled man, especially for his time period. Wise beyond his years, he did what he felt to be right. In other words, he dreamed big and never stopped believing. That is the message I get from his works: There is more to tell you, yet I can’t plainly give it up. Just like he wanted to fly, and La Scapigliata wants to be happy, I want to know that bigger things are to come. ~Karinna Fazenbaker 6&7

I have been to many museums when I went to Washington D.C. Including the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. I am going to write a about a famous Mexican painter named Frida Kahlo de Rivera. The painter was born on July 6 of 1907 in Coyoacán. Frida Kahlo’s work is remembered for its “pain and passion” and vibrant colors. But she was known to paint self-portraits of herself or other people. Kahlo’s work has been celebrated in Mexico as symbolic of national and native tradition. She suffered lifelong health problems caused by a traffic accident. These are reflected in her works. In her lifetime, she created over 200 paintings, drawings or sketches. She later on died in her hometown of Coyoacán on July 13 of 1954. She was an amazing painter.

I've never been to an art gallery or a museum. I chose 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' by Johannes Vermeer. This painting is often referred to as the Dutch Mona Lisa. I'm not sure why, but this painting looks as if were questioning us or something. Johannes Vermeer was a Dutch painter who specialized in domestic interior scenes of middle-class life. Vermeer was a very successful painter in his lifetime. This painting stays at Mauritshuis: a museum in The Hague, Netherlands.

I've been to many art museums in the past. The Carnegie Art Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago, to name a few. I think the most famous painting I've ever seen in real life is the American Gothic (I think that's what it's called, the one with the farmer and the woman) at the Art Institute of Chicago. It turns out that the woman in it is actually the farmer's daughter. The painter based the two people in the painting off of his sister and his dentist. I thought that was pretty interesting! As for famous museums, I'd really like to visit the Met Museum of Art in New York some time.

I have been to an art museum before. It was a long time ago in Mexico. Sadly, I can't remember the name of it. I chose the Mona Lisa by Leonardo DaVinci. It took 14 years to create the wonderful painting of Lisa del Giocondo. The painting is located at the Louvre, and has been there since 1797. This masterpiece was made during the Renaissance period. That is the painting I chose. I hope you enjoyed!

I have never been to an art museum before, but I am going to talk about one of my favorite paintings: Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. I love this painting because it is just beautiful. Starry Night reminds me of laying down in the grass and looking up at the moon. Although the stars in this picture may not look like the stars we see, van Gogh painted this while he was in the hospital, so maybe that's what he thought of. You know its hard to tell what he was thinking because I can't ask him, and I definitely can't ask him what his meaning behind it was. Maybe van Gogh wanted us to be creative and imagine what we want it to. There is something about a Starry Night that makes me just want to sit and look at it, just like how sometimes I sit and watch the stars at night. I like how this painting leaves my mind to wonder off and think of things i usually don't think of.

I have been to several museums in many different places. I choose the painting "American Gothic". It was painted in August 1930 by a man named Grant Wood. He saw a house in Iowa that he thought would look nice as a backdrop of a painting with two people in front of it. His sister was the model for the woman and the local dentist posed as the man. He painted each of them separate they never did pose beside each other. He choose a pitchfork only because he thought it would look better than a rake in the painting. He was not trying to portray "farmers".But as the years passed by the painting was choose to represent many large events that were happening at that time in our world.
As he would talk about the painting over the years, he was very unhappy that people had completely misunderstood the painting. As it's said- Art and the interpretation is in the eye of the beholder.

I have not been to an art museum but I have been to a museum. Such as the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. I also have been to the wax museum which I thought was the coolest thing. The lady I am going to do is Lady Hamilton. Lady Hamilton was born on April 26,1765 in Neston, United Kingdom. I chose her because I thought she looked beautiful in her painting. I can't say that it looked exactly like her because I have never seen a photo of her that wasn't a painting. Lady Hamilton's real named was Emma. She had a husband named William Hamilton. Lady Hamilton died January 15,1815.

I have been to a art museum. I went in 3 grade but I think the name was Clay center. There was an art gallery and sculptures. There was one I like a lot, it had many colors. A famous museum I know is the Louvre. It's located in Paris, France. The Louvre holds many famous paintings like The Wedding at Cana. It was made by a famous painter Paolo Veronese.

I have never in my life been to an art museum ior even an actual museum. I m not very sure if what i did go to was a museum or not . I went in Ocean City Maryland the ripley center. I guess now that i think more if it it was a museum. It had a huge booda man in it and sculptures of human heads with very long necks. Or heads without necks. There were heads that had a lot of pericings in every spot you can imagine on your face. There also a lot of things you can touch and go into to experience things that doesnt happen today. There was a voodoo doll. In the beginning there was an old heavy set lady playing a guitar. She was short an looked like a man with a beard and curly long brown hair in the back of her very very long. This sculpture was a full body sized one and it was really cool.

I've never been to a art museum before. although I'm am going to say something about the Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa is quite possibly the most well-known piece of painted artwork in the entire world. It was painted by the Leonardo Da Vinci, the famous Italian artist, between 1504 and 1519. The Mona Lisa is famous for a variety of reasons. One of the reasons, of course, for the popularity of the painting is the artist himself.Leonardo da Vinci is perhaps the most recognized artist in the world. He also was a scientist, inventor, and a doctor. it is a very beautiful painting. The Mona Lisa is an oil painting, with a cottonwood panel as the surface. While most of the artwork of the Renaissance period depicts biblical scenes, it was the style and technique of the paintings of this period which make them distinguished from other eras of artwork.

I have been to many museums before, but I do not recall any art galleries. The museeums were all in Washington, DC. The museums were The Spy Museum, Smithsonian, and The Space Museum. Laura Knight was a painter from Long Eaton, Derbyshire, England. She was born August 4th, 1877, and died July 7, 1970. She became the first women to be elected into the Royal Academy in 1936 when it was established in 1768. Although Knight was known for painting amidst the world of the theatre and ballet in London, and for being a war artist during the Second World War, she was also greatly interested in, and inspired by, more civilized communities and individuals including Gypsies and circus performers. Her success in the male-dominated British art establishment paved the way for greater status and recognition for women artists.

I have never been to an art gallery or museum. One day when I was little I wanted to, but I never got the chance.Julie Mehteu was a famous painter around the late 1900's. She is american and still living in the U.S till this day. She is known for many painting but also for scupltures. One of her well known paintings is, " The Round City,Hatshepsut." This painting reffers to ancient maps before the foundings of our new countrys. This has a agricultural, historical, and meanful background to her and the world. This painting reffers to a war that once happened in Baghdad wear some of her family lives. Luckily, none of her family was injurred or killed in this act of war that happened. Her cultures oringinate from Etheopia and other foreign counties, but she has made an impact on painters today as she mad agriculture movements in her paintings and sculptures.

I have been to several museums. My favorites are the art museums because art is another ay for people to express their feelings. I chose to write about the painting names "The Son of Man" by Rene Magritte. This painting shows a man in a long suit. He is wearing a top hat. There is an apple hanging in front of his face. Behind him is a stone wall that is separating him from the ocean that is also behind him. People say that he put the apple there because even though things are hidden, they can still be there. Magritte says that he painted it as a self portrait.

I have been to museums and I really enjoy them. I like observing the statues and paintings at galleries, as well. I am going to be blogging about a museum I have wanted to go for a while now. The largest museum in the United States is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is one of the ten largest in the world! It is in New York City. This museum contains more than two million pieces of work! If I could go, I would visit the collection of musical instruments section. There are so many other exhibits, too. Such as the European masters, works from Ancient Egypt, and Oceanic art. It opened in 1872 and is still running today as one of the largest out there!

I visited the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I wish that I had the time to go visit more museums, because they are full of interesting things. I chose to write about Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarotti Simoni. He was a famous Italian Renaissance sculptor, painter, poet and architect. Michelangelo was one of the most important Western Artists of all time. He was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprese Italy. Michelangelo was famous for several paintings, The Sistine Chapel and The Pieta and David. One interesting fact is that he taught himself some of the basic painting techniques, and he even taught himself new skills such as sculpting. Even though he passed away about 450 years ago he is still remembered and his artistic work is highly recognized. He was a great painter who inspired many people because of his outstanding work.

I have been to a few different museums, one in Atlanta and a couple in Washington D.C. I think museums are a great way to inform, share, and show off different things to the society. One of my favorite museums was called "The World Of Coca Cola." I really enjoyed this one because there were so many different hands-on activities to do, along with many interesting facts about Coke. I went there this past summer with my family and Kerry Carpenter. Kerry and I do lots of different things together, but this was one of my favorite memories! The museum was located in Atlanta, Georgia and we spent about a day touring around down there, and visiting the Coca Cola Museum. In the museum they have a taste-testing room, which was of course our favorite part of the tour! They also had a 4-D movie that we went to, located inside of the World of Coca Cola. They told us a bunch of different facts along with when and how Coca Cola started. This famous museum is defiantly a fun experience for anyone!

I have been to many museums including the one in Washington D.C. The painting I picked was the one of Marie Antoinette. Not only is it beautiful, but it also has a historic story behind it. It was painted by Vigee Le Brun. As her career blossomed, she was invited to the Palace of Versailles to paint Marie Antoinette. Born in Vienna, Austria, in 1755, Marie Antoinette married the future French king Louis XVI when she was just about 15 years old. In 1766, as a way to cement the relatively new alliance between the French and Habsburg thrones, Maria Theresa, Marie Antoinette's mother, promised her young daughter's hand in marriage to the future king of France. (They were 15 and 16 years old and they had never met.) May 16, 1779 a lavish second wedding ceremony took place in the royal chapel at Versailles. More than 5,000 guests watched as they got married. It was the beginning of Marie Antoinette's life in the eye of the public. They soon came to symbolize all of the excesses of the revile French Monarchy, and Marie Antoinette herself became the target of a great deal of vicious gossip. After the outbreak of the French Revolution in 1789, the royal family was forced to live under the supervision of revolutionary authorities. In 1793 the king was executed; then, Marie Antoinette was arrested and tried for crimes against the French republic. She was convicted and sent to the guillotine on October 16,1793.

I’ve have never been to an art museum, but I have always heard stories of when my sister went to Paris and saw some Pablo Picasso paintings. So I am going to write about Mr. Picasso. Pablo lived from October 25, 1881 to April 8, 1973. His final resting place was in Mouglins, France He died at age 91. Picasso used women in many of his paintings such as (Woman with Gloves, Woman With Jewelery) and (Girl with a Mandolin). Picasso was trained to paint by his father in 1890. Most of his early works are held in Barcelona. Picasso loved painting so much that his first word was lapiz or pencil. That is all I have to say about Pablo Picasso.

I have never been in an art museum but I've always wanted to. My mom told about a painting called ' The Kiss' by Gustav Klimt the painting was mad somewhere around 1908 and 1909. The story be hide it is a man bending down to press his lips on the welcoming cheek of a lover, whose closed eyes and tight- lipped smile hint at rapture. Gustav Klimt was born in Austria in 1862 and In 1918, Gustav Klimt suffered from a stroke in his apartment. So sad and yet he painting was so romantic is show to me that no matter where you go in the world there always romance in the air or in this case in a painting.

I was once to the Clay center in Charleston. It was both a art museum and science center. Mainly I was intrested in the science area than the art. The art museum was at the top of the museum. Art wasn't a fasination when I was in 4th grade. There was this one that both intrested me and scared me. It was huge and black. Like all different shades of black. I immediatly left the museum after that. The science area was the one that I stayed in the rest of my time there.

I have been art museums, and I actually enjoy how quiet it is. I think that you learn more about what's be depicted in the works of art. I have decided to write about my favorite painting. My favorite painting by far is, The Scream, by Edvard Munch. I think this painting has always been a mystery to me. I always wonder as to what the meaning behind the image is. I always felt as if it was about some emotion that he was trying to convey. Then I started to do some research, and I actually find out that there was a passage in his personal journal that read, "I was walking down the road with two friends when the sun set; suddenly, the sky turned as red as blood. I stopped and leaned against the fence, feeling unspeakably tired. Tongues of fire and blood stretched over the bluish black fjord. My friends went on walking, while I lagged behind, shivering with fear. Then I heard the enormous infinite scream of nature." Unlike most art, you usually never find out the real meanings behind the beauty. Edvard was showing the "scream" behind the scary intense feeling of nature.

I have not been to an art museum before. The famous painting I have chosen is The Starry Night. It was painted by Vincent van Gogh. He painted it in June 1889. It is an oil on canvas. It looks like a starry night over a city with mountains in the background. The painting is swirled. The Starry Night is Van Gogh's best-known painting. It is one of the most recognized monuments in the history of Western culture. Vincent van Gogh put himself in an asylum. That is where he made this painting. The Starry Night is held in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. It has been held there since 1941.

I have been to several museums, but not an Art museum. We went to the Clay Center in Charleston, WV, last summer, but it was closed the day we were there. I have seen art displays at other places, though. I chose to write about the picture in the clip entitled "Young Woman With Unicorn", although you cannot see the unicorn in the clip. In the picture from the clip, she has red on her dress, she is wearing a necklace, her long hair is twisted, and you can see mountains in the background. It was painted by an Italian artist named Raphael in 1506. It is displayed in the Galleria Borghese in Rome. What I find most interesting about this painting is that the identity of the woman is not known, but it was inspired by the famous painting "Mona Lisa". The lady in "Young Woman with Unicorn" does look a lot like "Mona Lisa"!

Two are fixing their costumes, and the third is fixing her hair. Edgar Degas drew many different types of painting but he was really fasinated with the art of ballet and the the dancers. I've been to one art museum in my life and I don't even remember the name. I do know that the museum included a lot of abstract work. The painter I've chosen is Leonid Afremov. He was born on July 12, 1955 in Vitebsk, Belarus. He isn't necessary a very famous artist that has his works appear in galleries. Instead, he sells painting online and rarely appears in exhibitions. His painting are of memories or emotions. Afremov uses oil paint and a palette knife. His style is unique and different. Leonid's painting are the most beautiful painting you'll ever see. The paintings include brights colors that stand out even more due to the fact of contradicting dark colors. The first time I ever saw these, they blew my mind away. Words can't describe how gorgeous they are. If you want to see for yourself, go search him up.

He’s considered one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European history. He lived from July 15, 1606 to October 04, 1669 and died at age sixty-three. He has a very famous painting called “The Night Watch (De Nachtwacht), 1642”. This is currently being displayed in Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, and the Netherlands. He had an achievement that people gave a “nickname”. People called it the “Dutch Golden Age. This was a time of great wealth and cultural achievement.

He devoted himself to art at age 23.He was an English painter but his work was more popular in France. He liked to paint landscapes. His art inspired a lot of romance. In 1824 he won 2 gold medals for his art work.

I have never visited an art gallery before. On the other hand, I have gone to the Smithsonian and the Carnegie Science Center. For this blog, I’ve chosen to write about the famous Renaissance sculptor Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi, or Donatello. Donatello was born in Florence, Italy and lived from 1386-1466. He was one of the most influential artists of the 15th century. One of his most famous works was a bronze statue of David. His work stood out at the time because he used a unique style. He used facial expressions and body positions to portray emotions. Donatello traveled to Rome with an Italian sculptor and architect, Michelozzo, in around 1425. They worked on my tombs that later influenced Florentine tombs.

The only art museum I’ve ever been to is the Smithsonian. I really enjoyed the visit and it gave me a greater appreciation for the medium. I would like to go there again.

Initially I thought the blog had to be solely about “Women” in art, but it turns out I don’t have to do it that way. So, I am going to do my favorite painter: Leonardo DaVinci. I chose DaVinci because he painted one of the most famous depictions of a women in art, the Mona Lisa

Leo was an inventor, sculptor, and artist. His most famous artwork is definitely the Mona Lisa, made in 1503. Another reason I chose DaVinci is because of the many inventions he made. He did make quite a few, and that’s why I like him! In fact, he is considered one of the greatest painters of all time, yet another reason of my fondness.

DaVinci's depicts Mona Lisa with a certain sadness that is said to be almost palpable by those who visit the Louvre where the portrait hangs.

Interestingly there is a school of scholars that believe that the Mona Lisa is actually a self portrait of DaVinci.

I have gone to multiple museums of art on trips, but a memorable one was the Art Institute of Chicago. It had a lot of paintings, but it has enough open space to be four or five times larger than the school-no, seriously. And we saw nearly 3/4 of the whole building. However, the museum still had a large amount of paintings to look at. Not just pictures made of paint, but also stained glass windows! I can't really pick a favorite out of them all, but a ton of them were colorful and cool to look at. My only problem with the museum is the previously mentioned open space. Other than that, it is probably my favorite!

I have visited several museums in Pittsburg and Washington, DC. One of my more memorable visits was to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. I was in kindergarten at the time. As my family walked in we were greeted by someone looking for young people who had not previously visited the museum. They asked my parents if I could be interviewed by a student from the University of Pittsburgh. The interview was to be about my current knowledge of dinosaurs. The student took me around the various exhibits explaining various things and also asking me questions. After the tour I ask at a desk while the student asked more questions and also answered questions that I had. After the interview my dad became very happy. Since I participated in the interview my entire family had free admission to the museum and even free parking.

Leonardo da Vince is the creater of The Last Supper. Leonardo was born in Vinice, da Vince mean were a person is born. Leonardo is one of my favorit people in history. He's a very talented artist, sculptor, and inventor. He made the first blue print of a tank, but he hated war so much he secretly sabatoged the blue prints making the tank only able to turn left. Leonardo also came up with the idea of one of the most sanitary city possible at the time; The city also would of had the purified running water system. One of his most famous ideas he made is a plane amd a helecoptor. Leonardo's most famous piece of art is a horse made out of bronze. It was never made because his clay scale model was destroyed by invaders who used it as target practice. There is a replica of what the hourse would have been like today.

I've never been to any type of museum or art gallery before but I hope to visit many in the future. First,I would want to visit the museum that holds a very famous painting named "The Scream". This painting was painted by Edvard Munch between the time of 1893 and 1910. It's original name was Der Schrei der Natur meaning "The Scream of Nature". There are four different versions of The Scream, two oil versions and two pastel. The fourth version, however, is not in a museum but instead it was sold to a financier, Leon Black, on May 2, 2012. Munch was inspired to create this painting just by walking through nature. He had been walking through the city on a path past a fjord. When he looked at the sky, he saw that the sun was setting and making the clouds look blood red. He then sensed some sort of scream that he could also hear! Thus, Munch painted what he saw and made the clouds actual blood. The color had "screamed" at him. This painting had became The Scream.

See all the artiest have the same idea witch is outer beauty. No one thinks of inter beauty witch is the true beauty. All the artiest need to realizes that beauty is in the inner / outer but most of all it about your personality .

Leonid Afremov is a famous oil canvas painting. I’m doing his famous painting magic rain. This was created 2005. It was created in Mexico where Leonid came out of retirement. It was phenomenal its meaning was never realized. Leonid was 78 when this painting was published he still lives today . This is in the fine art museum. We all should appreciate what art has to offer. The meanings it brings Look beyond the painting search for the meaning .

I haven't been to an art museum, unfortunately. The painting I chose was The Scream, by Edvard Munch, in 1893. It is considered one of the most celebrated and recognized painting in history, other than the Mona Lisa, Starry Night, The Last Summer, etc.

I have been in the art museum in Washington D.C. I didn't like it at all. I think that most of the art in there is boring and pointless. I dont always see th epoint in art. One of the famous artists in there was Leanardo DaVinci. he was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. he was a very busy man.Leonardo was, and is, renowned primarily as a painter. Among his works, the Mona Lisa is the most famous and most parodied portrait and The Last Supper the most reproduced religious painting of all time, with their fame approached only by Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam. Leonardo is revered for his technological ingenuity. He conceptualised flying machines, an armoured vehicle. Those are some reasons that he is famous.

I think I've been to an art museum once, but I don't remember it much. I remember there was a lot of old statues from the first and second century, which really caught my eye. I also remember there being several paintings of fruit bowls. Why do so many people paint bowls of fruits? But either way, I suppose I will talk about "The Persistence of Memory", more commonly known as "That One Melty Clock Painting". I haven't seen it live, but since I like clocks for no apparent reason, I chose this one. It was painted by Salvador Dalí in 1931, and is most likely the one you know most about, since let's face it, you probably didn't know the name of that guy, or even the name of this painting to an extent. This surrealist painting is pretty well known, and is meant to represent softness and hardness. Why is that what they wanted to paint? Maybe it's because no one else painted something like that before, but I don't know. There are four clocks in this painting. One is hanging from a tree, one is on this strange platypus-looking thing, one's on the side of a strangely perfect ledge, and the last one is also on the ledge, but not too melty. I don't understand what message this painting was trying to show, but in the end, it is one of the strangest pieces of famous art there is.

No I have never been to an art museum. The painting Scream by Edvart Munch is very beautiful. Its full of colors and lines. It is one of the most reproduced paintings. It and The Starry Night have a lot of similarities. It was made in 1893.

I've neve rbeen to a museum before or know any famous paintings. I have seen many painting though. I can tell it's not easy to be an artist. You have to have a different theme everytime somehow i don't know how people think of those paintings. Also over the millions of years art has changed drasticly. More ideas and more outgoing artists. ALso many more to come.

I have been to numerous museums over the summer and the things you can learn from them are very exciting and cool. I went to 5 diffrent states in the past year. Texas,Pittsburgh,Oklahoma,New York and lastly Kentucky. I went to a art museum in each state and my favorite was the paint splatters on a white canvas. Its plain and simple. And sometimes thats the nicest thing.
