Some other death camps besides Auschwitz are Belzec, Chelmno, Majdanek, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Auschwitz was the worst camp because people were tortured the most there. And it was the biggest camp and the most industrialized. This concentration camp was significant to Anne Frank because that is where Anne's father was taken too and where he escaped from. Over all no matter what camp people were taken to they all were horrible and what happened was horrific. But threw everything that happened Anne Frank still believed that deep down everyone was good. And that is why she is a hero.

There were many concentration camps during this time period. Some other camps besides Auschwitz were Buchenwald, Dachau, and Treblinka. Auschwitz was probably one of the most infamous camps during this time. The area was made up of three smaller sub-camps. When people would become too old or too sick they were sent to the death camp. After he/she was murdered their bodies were sent to the crematorium. Auschwitz were allowed to murder up to 20,000 people a day. Almost up to 1.1 million people died there. More than 3 million Jews were murdered by the end of the holocaust. Only a handful of prisoners in these Nazi camps survived. The people in these camps were mostly Germans, Communists, Socialists, Social Democrats, Gypsies, Jehovahs Witnesses, Homosexuals, and people accused of deviant behavior. These camps were called concentration camps because the people imprisoned there had to be " concentrated" in one place. This resembles the Anne Frank story very well because the Auschwitz concentration camp was where her father was taken to and also escaped from. Every single camp had a specific type of torture machine. " In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation of confusion, misery and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquility will return again." - Anne Frank

There was a lot of concentration camps at this time. Aushwitz was the most popular at this time. People who were old or even sick went to this camp and about 20,000 died from this camp. When the Germans found the Jews they would send them to a specific concentration camp, but Aushwitz was one of the worst more than 3,0000 Jews died from the Halacoust for no reason. They would put babies in ovens and cook them. The gas chambers that they would put people in. Or just even beat them to death. But as we look back to this today It was a very sad thing to talk about.

Some other concentration camps beside Auschwitz were Belzec, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Auschwitz was by far the worst because 20,000 people were killed a day there. In total about 1.1 million people died there. It is confirmed that the Nazis established 15,000 concentration camps over the countries they took over. About 1 in 6 Jews that died in the Holocaust, died in Auschwitz. The middle of Auschwitz was a grocery store. War prisoners, old, sick, and Jewish people were sent to this camp. It was the largest and most violent camp in the holocaust. 144 people escaped Auschwitz. Sometimes women were allowed to do light work, which they later found out was prostitution. This related to the Anne Frank story because that is where the sent her father. Everyone in the book died at the concentration camp besides Mr. Frank and Anne. " In spite of everything, I believe that people are still good at heart." - Anne Frank

Auschwitz was one of the many concentration camps ;others include Bergen-Belson, Majdanek, and Treblinka. Auschwitz is considered by many to be the worst of the Nazi "death" camps because the most amount of tortures and deaths happened there, many of which were women and children. When the Frank family was found by the Gestapo they were sent to Auschwitz. Later Anne and her sister Margot were moved to Bergen-Belson where they were killed. One of saddest things about Anne was that when she was at Auschwitz she seemed to be happy because she could finally get out and not be stuck in a tiny room all day, never to see the sunlight. -Nicky Keefover 4-5 period

During the time of the Holocaust, there were many concentration camps that tortured many innocent people. Some of these camps include Dachau, Treblinka, and Chelmno. Auschwitz though was one of the most brutal. At Auschwitz, 960,000 Jews alone died there either by abuse, gas chamber, or by being burned alive! Auschwitz played a big role in Anne Frank's life. That is where her father was sent after being discovered in the secret annex of the building that Anne and other various Jews hid. Out of all of the people in Anne's family, only her father survived which was ironic that he was sent to the most brutal camp and lived. Today, Auschwitz Concentration Camp still stands, as do many other camps, untouched to show that we will never forget the awful time of the Holocaust.

Auschwitz was the worst concentration camp because it had the most executions there. It was believed almost 1 million people were killed there. It had the newest equipment, the most staff, and it was also the largest. Anne was affected by Auschwitz because he father was sent there, while she was sent to Bergen- Belsen with Margot.

Some other camps other than Auschwitz were Chelmno, Treblinka, and Dachau. All of these camps were very deathly and killed thousands of people. All of the Frank family except Otto were killed in these camps. People were considered lucky if they died from a sickness instead of being killed by the camp workers. Auschwitz killed the most people with is why it differs from other camps and it was the most harsh. To kill people in these camps they used gas chambers and burned people alive with no mercy. The abuse was horrible for all and worst for elderly, women, and children. They were considered worthless since they could not work to help the Nazis. Anne's father Otto was sent to Auschwitz only him the rest of the family was in another camp. They had no way of reaching each other to know if they were okay. Otto didn't know if and how his family died until he found someone who was in the same camp as them. The camp Auschwitz is still tanning today with white stuff in the soil where you walk. The white stuff is human bones and remains so many people were killed there that all those bones are still in their soil.

During world war 2 there were all kinds of camps but Auschwits was the worst and were the most people die. There where also other camps like belzec and sobibor and many many more. Aushcwits was just terrible and cruel. They sent people to gas chambers and locked them in and suffer while dying. This camp had the most people to die in world war 2. This camp beat the Jews and even burned them to death. To this day people remember this camp for these reasons and how many people died there. This relates to an Frank's story a lot . This was the camp where she went and got killed in like the first month. This was that camp and that's why they all tried to hide out there till the war was over. That's why it's related to Anne Frank.

Auschwitz, a holocaust conservation camp, was probably the worst of its kind. Its wasn’t the only conservation camp though. For example, Treblinka was just as secure and deadly as any other concentration camp. Another conservation camp was Ebensee, which had many prisoners to make tunnels until they died. Even though that these camps were pretty bad, they weren’t as bad as Auschwitz. Auschwitz was one of the worst camps during the Holocaust. Auschwitz was the deadliest camps which’ve killed 1.1 Million during the Holocaust. Anne Frank was part of this because she had died at Auschwitz.

Anne Frank and the other members of her family went to Auschwitz and the only to survive was Otto, her father. There were many concentration camps, Auschwitz being the worst. But there were others that were pretty bad such as Treblinka and Majdanek. Auschwitz alone killed 1.1 million during the Holocaust.

When the Nazi's came to power, they opened many concentration camps, interment camps and transfer stations. From 1933 to 1945 the Nazi's and their allies established over 40,000 camps and incarceration sites. While Jewish people were their largest group of people killed, they also killed Prisoner's of War, and anyone they considered to be an "enemy of the state" (such as Gypsy's, Socialists, Jehovah's Witnesses and homosexuals).

Some of the more well known Concentration Camps were Dachau, Buchenwald, Treblinka, Sobibor and Belzec. The most infamous of the camps was Auschwitz in Poland where at it's peak was able to exterminate over 6,000 people per day. Auschwitz was also the camp that Anne Frank's father was sent to and he actually lived through the ordeal.

Luckily, we don't know of any relative that perished at the hands of the Nazi's. My family emigrated to the United States from Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Romania and other Eastern European Countries well before World War 1 (to escape persecution from prior groups such as the Cossacks). Being part of the main group that was exterminated, it sickens me to think of all the innocent Jewish people that were killed simply for their religious beliefs.

Out of all the people that Franks hid with died except Anne's father who was liberated in January of 1945. He then later died in 1980 form lung cancer.

All in all, this caused our population to drop, and is now one of histories biggest ordeals that has ever happened.

There were many horrible camps that Jews were sent to during the Holocaust. Chelmno was the first that the Germans established on Polish soil. Belize, Sobibor, and Treblinka were death camps at the eastern boundary of the Generalgouvernement. Majdanek was established in 1941. Jews, Slovaks, Czechs, Germans, and Poles were murdered at this camp because it was the biggest and most industrialized. Auschwitz killed the most people out of all of the concentration camps. People were worked hard, treated badly, and forced for labor. Auschwitz was very significant to the Anne Frank story. I feel like that was the camp that threatened her family the most. Auschwitz was also significant to the story because Anne was sent there after being captured. Anne Frank survived the selection there and got deported to Bergen- Belsen concentration camp, where she later died.

However the biggest death camp during the holocaust was Auschwitz. This camp was the worst because 2/3 of the Jewish who were killed died at Auschwitz almost 4 four million jews. Auschwitz is very significant to the Anne Frank story because that is where she and her family went to die after there hiding spot was given away at the Secret Annex. Food, water, and clothes were very scarce there are people died for various reasons. Starvation, dehydration, illiness, gas chambers, ovens, guns, etc. It is scary to think that something like this could happen again

Some other camps that existed were Bergen-Belsen, Belzec, Bucher Wald, and Chelmno. Auschwitz was worse than any other camp because the people here were tortured and hurt the most. This camp was the most used place for Jews. Some other camps weren't even closely monitored. Auchwitz was swarming with SS guards and had roll calls. Auchwitz was important to the Anne Frank story because Anne had went here and met people. Even though this was a horrible time Anne tried to stay positive. Anne became an inspiration for people in the death camps. She didn't give up hope until the very end. Anne thought we were all good at heart. Even though she died by horrible people she saw that there was some good in them.

Anne Frank was sent to Auschwitz after she was found at age 15. It was open as the biggest consiontracion camp in 1940. More than 1 million people lost the lives in Auschwitz. This was a terrible place. Natzi soldiers sent an 60,000 prisoners on a forced march to other locations when the Solviet Union came. They left thousands of corpes at Auschwitz. Hitler constructed death camps, unlike concentration camps which had existed in Germany since 1933. Some Jewish people were forced to control the gas chambers. Between 15,000 and 20,000 Jewishs people were housed in Auschwitz. The eight people in hiding from the secret annex are sent to the barracks. Anyone who was elderly, sick,or under the age of 12 were killed imedently.
"Anne always seemed happy though" said one lady with Anne in the Barrack. The way people were treated in Auschwitz was terrible.

Yes, there were many other concentration camps. Believe, Sobibor, and Treblinka are some of them. Auschwitz was the cruelest and worst concentration camp of them all. Over 20,000 people died on an average per day. 1.1 million people died in 4 1/2 years. That is more than the American and British army losses of World War II combined together. I I cannot understand or imagine this at all. This horrible cruel behavior was unnecessary and never should have happened. One of the Jewish boxers had to fight to survive over 200 times. The loser either got shot or went to the gas chambers. I can't imagine the guilt that man must have felt! When Anne Frank and her friends and family got captured they were sent to Auschwitz. The only one from her family that survived was her dad. He died in 1980 of Lung Cancer. I can only imagine the pain he had carry with surviving all that went on in the camp and losing all of his family. The best thing we can do is to never let this happen again!

One of those stories is Anne Frank's story. Anne is connected to this camp particularly because her father Otto Frank survived this camp and the Holocaust, this is also where Anne and her sister Margot were transferred from. There are many other stories too like the Nazi soldier who fell in love with a Jewish prisoner, he saved her life multiple times and she testified on his behalf. The Holocaust is so grievous, heart-rending and the number of death camps is horrendous. All of the major death camps were Auschwitz-Birkenau, Belzec, Chelmno, Janowska, Majdanek, Sobibor, Treblinka, and many more. Auschwitz-Birkenau became the unfavorable eradication camp after millions of Jews started bustling in there and one foot already in grave in the camp. After Anne Frank’s family and friends were found in the Secret Annex they were then taken to Westerbork. Anne was taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau where she was separated from her father and spared immediate death, so they sent Anne and her family, except Otto Frank, to Bergen-Belsen where they died of sickness and slaughter.

Causes of death in Auschwitz included being gassed, starving, hard labor, infectious diseases, individual killings, and medical experiments. This camp is significant to Anne Frank's story because it is the first concentration camp she was sent to and it is where her mother died and where her father was eventually liberated from. Although Auschwitz is the most well known death camp others include Belzec, Chelmno, Majdanek, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Auschwitz was the worst of the concentration camps because of the number of people held there. This caused the living conditions to be worse and sickness was more likely to spread. Most Jews were sent to Auschwitz and then to another camp or were sent to Auschwitz from another camp. At the gates of Auschwitz was a band of Jews who played music as the innocent civilians walked into their deaths. This was meant to put them in a calm and relaxed state of mind. This puts Auschwitz as the worst camp to me because they were putting a false sign of hope into people they were trying to exterminate. Auschwitz is significant to the Anne Frank story because it is where her and her family were first sent. Her mother died here and it is where her father survived. Anne was sent to Bergen-Belsen, a women's concentration camp, with her sister Margot where they both died.

Although Auschwitz is one of the most well-known concentration camps, there were a total of about 40,000 camps established by Nazi Germany and its allies between 1933 and 1945; they were used for the transit, forced labor, and annihilation of Jewish people, as well as Gypsy people, the disabled, the ill, and those thought to be enemies of the country. Notable camps include Ravensbruck and Bergen-Belsen of Germany, Belzec and Majdanek of Poland, and Westerbork of the Netherlands. Auschwitz is different primarily due to it's size; it was the largest camp established by the Nazi regime, consisting of three main camps (Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II, also known as Auschwitz-Birkenau, and Auschwitz III, also known as Auschwitz-Monowitz), one being used solely as a killing center. This camp in particular is significant to Anne Frank's story in that she was, ironically enough, at her strongest at the worst camp she was in. She seemed to glow here, never losing her strength or giving up hope in the midst of a harsh reality.

In the Holocaust women were treated horribly. The women were beatend and raped. The children were put at work and if the work was unfinished or they argued back they were beatend. One of the camps were Auschwitz, they were ran by soldiers. This was the biggest and most industrialized camp. Anne Frank's father was sent there but later escaped and lived. His other family and friends sadly passed away. It did not matter what camp the people went to they were all tortured. No one could ignore Hitler because his army was approaching quickly. If you didn't get in the war with him you were against him and you were going to die.

Auchwitz, the most-well known concentration camp, was capable of slaughtering 1.1 million Jews there. Others concentration camps include Treblinka, Sobibor, and Ebensee. Auchwitz, as well as murdering over a million Jews, also was more severe than other camps, which is why the camp had a wider range of infamousy to its legacy. The historic facts in the camp sometimes generally have been modified, as horrendous as it sounds, to fit Hollywood's standards to sell a movie. For example, in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, a German boys befriends a Jewish boy from a concentraion camp. However, this is very inaccurate because people in that specific camp under the age to work would be immediately gassed, and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas would become German Boy Oblivous to What Nazis Are Doing. Auchwitz is a key element in Anne Frank's story because this is where her death takes place. There is a sense of irony, however, to her death by Nazis because her ideology throughout her diary was that she could endure and people are good at heart.

Other concentration camps besides Auchwitz included Treblinka, Majdenek, and Belzek. Auchwitz was the worse because it murdered 1.1 million Jews and was the biggest most industrialized camp. It was significant to the Anne Frank story because Anne had felt free and strong at place that could've caused her death. Later when she moved to a different camp, her father stayed behind and alive until Auchwitz was liberated. Anne then had eventually died in Bergen-Belsen.

Aushwitz was a very bad concentration camp in the holocaust. The other camps were the Buchenwald, Belzec, and Treblinka. Auachwitz was worse for a couple reasons. It was mostly an Extermination camp for jews. There were 1.1 million jews that died there including Anne Frank. Jews were sent there on trains and when they got off some would immediately go to the gas chambers. It was also the largest concentration camp ever. Anne Frank went to this camp. She also died there. She was so famous and she didn't even know that she was.

Some other death camps are Birkenau, Belzec, Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Chelmno, and nineteen other camps. Auschwitz had a total camp area of 40 square kilometers with a surrounding radius of five kilometers for isolation. The Nazis fit approximately 800 to 1,000 people in each barrack. The mass graves held about 107,000 corpses and were used extensively after the Nazis discovered the inefficiency of burying the bodies individually. Criminals were tortured into confession, unfairly tried, and sentenced to death. Anne Franks's father was taken to Auschwitz and he escaped with his life, but Anne, Margot, and their mother, unfortunately, left in an unmarked grave.

Some of the other concentration camps that weren't Auschwitz were Belzec, Chelmno, and Dachau. Auschwitz is the worst because it is where the most people were killed. Also because they were enslaved in a worse way and they were treated worse. They also allowed the prisoners form jail to help the guards and beat the Jews until they did what they were asked. It is where Anne was buried with her family but unmarked and is where she died.

Some other death camps are Dachau, Belzec, and Buchenwald. All of these death camps were terrifying and deadly, but Auschwitz made life a living nightmare day and night for all of the Jews. In Auschwitz more people died then the British and American losses of WW2 combined. The deaths at this camp were far greater then any other camps during WW2. During the time of this era Anne Frank and her family was also sent to the death camps all around Germany and later on killed because of disease or death by another. Their deaths were only a small fraction of what these death camps caused for the race of Jews.

During the holocaust there were many types of camps. Some other ones other than Auschwitz is the Bergen-Belson, Buchenwald , and Belzek. Auschwitz was more of a death camp then anything. Most people were tortured till they were killed. It relates to the story of Anne Frank because her father went there. Somehow he managed to escape and lived to about 1980. He wanted to find out if his family died so he went and asked people. He later found out that everyone died at the same camp were an older women was at.

There were different deaths camps around the Germany. Other death camps are Belzec, Chelmno, Majdanek, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Auschwitz was terrible then the rest because more people had died there more than anywhere else. More Jews had been killed there unlike the rest of the death camps. Don't get me wrong the other ones were bad too, but not as bad as Auschwitz. Auschwitz relates to Anna Frank because that's were Anna was sent before she had died, and they buried her in a grave with all the rest of the people that had been dead there.

The Holocaust was a horrific and sickening time to be in Germany if you were Jewish ,but what made the time so sickening and why were they getting treated like they were. First, you have to understand that for the Holocaust to happen it toke an accumulation of things to happen. The time is November 11, 1918 the German Empire has just lost World War 1 now what happens to Germany. As punishment for Germany's action the allied powers created the Treaty of Versailles. In the Treaty of Versailles the punishment for Germany was seizing it's colonies, and it limited the Germany Army to 100,000 men security force, no navy or air force, and the would have to pay 33 billion dollars which is now about 402 billion dollars today. The German economy collapsed in the 1920's. Now, there are two things you can do either move forward or have excuses to why you are in this hole. Germany chose to make excuses in the excuse was Jews but who was going to take this excuse an run with it... Adolf Hitler! Racism was a systemic thing so first you have to make it known that Jews are enemy's. Once you have achieved that then you have to deprive Jews of a normal life that means taking away jobs from Jews which in turns take away money now Jewish Family's are driven out of there homes ,but now there are still millions of kids so what do you do to the kids... deprive them of education, of learning, so now they can't dare challenge your kids from jobs an being productive human beings. If you were a Jew you were labeled as a problem, the reason Germany lost World War 1, the reason to ALL of Germany's problems. So what was the supposed solution to this problem the Holocaust. Hitler set up many concentration camps like Majdanek, Belzec, Chelmno, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Every death in the concentration camp was important but what made Auschwitz the maist horrifying was the fact that 1.1 million people died there including Anne Frank. Even though the Holocaust was an horrific event it goes to show that one event can change time in lead to another horrific event.
