Women & Children in the holocaust

How were Jewish women treated during the time of the Holocaust? How were their children treated? How did the roles of women change during World War II? How many women and children were killed during the war? Which countries had the worst treatment of women? Are there any places in the world where women are treated badly?

Jewish women were treated horribly during the holocaust. They were beaten and raped. Children were also treated badly. They were immediately forced to go to the gas chamber. The roles for the women change during World War two by women having to stay home and work while the men fought. There were 2.9 million women who were killed and 1.5 million children who were killed during the war. There were many countries that had bad treatment for women but Germany was one of the worst because they didn't even care who you were you were just killed immediately. And there are definitely women in the world who are still treated badly today.

Jewish women and children were treated terrible. The women were considered useless and were forced to do heavy labored work which usually led to death. The children that were too young to work were used for medical experiments. Most of the kids were sent to the concentration camps and then later killed in the gas chamber. The women were usually raped and beaten. Many countries treated women terrible but Germany was the worst by a long run. There were 11 million Jews killed in the Holocaust, including 1 million children and 3 million women. During World War One, women had to take over the men's jobs while they fought in war. In conclusion, women and children were treated very bad in the time of the holocaust.

Jewish people were treated carelessly 6 million Jews had died that day. Jewish women were raped, sent to do labor, and brutally killed. The children under 12 would immediately be killed either by gas chamber, guns, and medical experiments. The roles of women change during World War II because the men were fighting and the women were taking the jobs of the men so the weapons, supplies, etc. 2.9 million Women were raped and killed with a massive 1.5 million born children killed more were killed in the womb. Germany was the number one country to treat women poorly and like complete slaves. I think that there are a lot of places that beat, rape, and kill women.

Jewish women especially were treated badly during the holocaust. While the video had no audotory clues like people talking, I was able to picture what was happening. germany was the one who treated the people badly the worst because of Adolph Hitler of course. Women and children were either forced to attend concitration camps or killed by gas chamber, similar to what had happened in "A Child Called It," only very different. About 3 million jews were killed because of the german forces, and of course women are still treated badly. That, I believe will never change, because everyone is treated badly all the time at every minute of everyday. Hope Robinson 4th/5th period

Since the Nazi regime targeted anyone who they deemed unsatisfactory regardless of age or gender, anyone could be persecuted and sent to concentration or death camps. Women and children, though, were treated abominably, as they were deemed "useless" for physical labor, unlike the men. During deportation operations, pregnant women, the elderly, the ill, those with disabilities, and small children were labeled "incapable of work" and immediately sent to death camps. Roma/Romani (Gypsy) women and children were also targeted. Women were often sentenced to intense forced labor that often led to death, or they were beaten, raped, or forced to submit to sexual relations with German men for basic necessities such as food. Many concentration camps ran brothels for German soldiers, forcing the women to work in them. If pregnancy resulted from these relations, the women were usually forced to have abortions, give birth in conditions that guaranteed the baby's death, or were simply shipped back home without food or medical care. Children under the age of 12 were sent immediately to gas chambers, while children over this age were forced into physical labor. Both women and children were often unethically experimented on by German physicians and scientists. An estimated 2.9 million women and 1.5 million children were killed during the war. Germany and Poland are tied for their horrible treatment of women in this time (Poland solely because Auschwitz is located there). In other places, specifically the United States, women were able to obtain a little bit more power. After most of the men went off to fight in the war, women were left to take up their jobs. Some women were even able to fight alongside the men in uniform, although not necessarily directly on the battlefield. They often took clerical or office jobs or were nurses. Today, though, women are treated just as badly in poorer third-world countries. Some of the worst places include Yemen, the Democratic Republic Of Congo, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Nepal.

During the Holocaust everyone was treated poorly, especially women and children. Women were forced to do work and if they were pregnant they were killed. If Children were to young they would be killed because they were said to be useless. Women used to help around the house by making food and cleaning up, in the camps it was all labor. Everyone was force to work including women and older kids. Women also would be beaten and killed. About 11 million Jews were killed 1.5 million were children and about 3 million were women. Germany was the worst, it was the center of all the madness. If you couldn't be identified you were thrown into a camp. There are probably places were women are treated terribly still, and its still a terrible thing.

In the Holocaust women were treated poorly, they were useless so they were rapped and killed. Along with the children and elders, they couldn't help do anything so they were sent to consontration camps and eventually dies. Children died of starvation half of the time. The kid's ribs were shown, they had hardly any skin.If you were a man with Blond hair and blue eyes you were useful. If you were Jewish you had to wear a star as a brand that was attached to their clothing. Jewish people could not get jobs and make money or support their families. Poland and Germany were the worse treatment to women and children. Women were forced to work and they were beatend surviorly. If women had gotten impregnated they were forced to an abortion. Three million women, 1.5 million children and 11 million Jews were killed in this war.

Jewish women were treated very poorly during the time of the Holocaust. They were considered useless along with children and were beaten senselessly and raped by Nazis. Although most children weren't raped, in my opinion they had it worse. They were immediately considered too weak to work and were thrown onto fires and into gas chambers. The role of women changed dramatically during WW2. While men were out fighting, the women had to take jobs of the men to help supply soldiers with weapons and other supplies. In all, 2.9 million women were killed and 1.5 million children were killed during the war. Poland and Germany had the worst treatment of women during the war. Today, there are still many places where women are being raped and beaten. A main place where this is still happening is Yemen.

Jewish people were mistreated badly during the time of the Holocaust. They would be sent to concentration camps and were mistreated. Women and children were labeled useless. Women were killed, raped, or sent to hard labor which led to death. Children were sent to gas chambers or ovens used to burn bodies. Some children were used as specimens for scientific studies. During the war the role of women changed. They had to stay home and work while the men went to fight the war. During World War Two 2.9 million were killed and 1.5 million children were killed. In the holocaust many Jews were treated horribly. But it was mostly women and children who got the most of the abuse. Jewish women were disrespected, murdered, and raped against their will. Since children were considered useless and not able to do labor and work for the Germans they usually were killed in gas chamber or a furnace. During World War 2 women's role changed a lot. Since the men were at war they had to work more filling in in the men's places. In all 2.9 women were killed and 1.5 children were killed during the war. The country that treated women the worst was Germany the home of Adolf Hitler. There are still countries out there mistreating women today.

The Holocaust was a very deadly time in history. Jewish women were treated horribly. They were incarcerated in concentration camps, beat, raped, and forced to have abortions if they were pregnant (or they were sent to the gas chamber). Jewish children were treated just as bad if not worse. Small children and children with disabilities were almost immediately sent to the gas chamber. Adolescents, or kids within the ages of 13 to 18 years old, had a better chance to survive. They were sent to the concentration camps to be used for forced labor. Sometimes very young children would be sent to be subjects of medical experiments. A lot of children were starved and beaten. About 2.9 million women and about 1.5 million children were killed during World War 2. The countries with the worst treatment for women were Germany and Poland. A major concentration camp for women was Ravensbrück, which was in Germany. Another main camp was Auschwitz-Birkenau, which was in Poland. It was actually three camps in one: a slave-labor camp, a prison camp, and an extermination camp. Many women are still treated badly in some countries today. In Iraq,, Pakistan, India, and many other countries women are beaten and imprisoned. The Holocaust was a bad time, but some of the racism and abuse still happens to this day.

Women were treated the same as men in Nazi Germany. While many women are fighting for that today, this was not a good thing in that time and place. Both men and women were treated like slaves. They were tortured for no reason other than their religion, sexual orientation, etc., and they were forced to work until they dropped dead from exhaustion. Children had a quicker death, though. As soon as anyone at or under the age of 12 arrived at a concentration camp, they were sent to die of asphyxiation in the gas chambers, because they were too young to work. Infants were tossed in a fire. Occasionally children were spared, only to be killed later from the tests Nazi scientists ran on them. The death toll of women during this time period reached about 2.9 million, while the amount of children killed reached 1.5 million. At the same time, American women went to work. At the time, it was customary for the women of the household stay home and cook, clean, and do other chores around the house, but there was a shortage in workers when most American men went off to war. The women stepped up to take these jobs, and this actually effects jobs today. Many female-dominated occupations today are from the period in time when women had to take these jobs. While many can easily say that Germany treated women the worst during World War 2, you would be surprised who might come in second place for this disgusting competition. There was actually a "baby boom" from all of the Dutch women that were raped by (mostly Soviet and American) soldiers after Germany surrendered. The estimate for rapes forced by Soviet soldiers: some say up to 2 million. Raped forced by American troops during the Allied occupation of Germany following WW2: 11000. Today, there are still countries that treat women like objects. Many countries in the Middle East make women cover themselves from head to toe, and they have to do everything their husband says. Some of these wives are still young girls, as it is normal to marry at ages like 12 or even younger there. This isn't thought of as abnormal though, because it's required by the Muslim religion.

During the Holocaust, all Jews were horribly mistreated, but the women and children got the worst of the abuse. Most pregnant and elderly women were immediately sent to either the gas chambers or ovens immediately upon arrival at the concentration camps. Young children were also either killed or sent to labs for medical experiments. All disabled people were immediately exterminated. Women were also raped, and if they became pregnant from sexual assault, they were forced to have an abortion. Both children and women were horribly beaten and starved. The Holocaust resulted in 11 million deaths, 2.9 million of which were women and 1.5 million of which were children. However, in America, women had to step in and preform what were generally men's tasks because most of the men had gone off to fight the Axis powers. In the time of the Holocaust, Poland and Germany were the two worst countries to be if you were a woman. Although today, countries that mistreat women include Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Nepal, and Sudan.

During the Holocaust, Jewish women and children were treated horribly. The women were either used for forced labor which would lead to death, beaten, raped or killed immediately. If they were pregnant, they would be forced to have an abortion. Most children under 12, would be killed because they were of no use for labor, and those that did survive were used for medical research or studies. The Germans would sometimes use the skin of those killed for lampshades or for book covers and such.

While there have been improvements in treatment of women worldwide, there are still places like Africa, Arab Countries and other "Third World" areas where they have little rights and are treated as a commodity.

Women and children of the Holocaust were treated terribly. Approximately 2.9 million women and 1.5 children were killed. They were considered worthless in the beginning because they couldn't work, then later, because all Jews were killed. Germany treated them the worse, though they were treated horribly in a lot of countries. They especially discriminated against pregnant women, seeing them as even more worthless than the others. They basically led the women and children directly into furnaces and gas chambers when they arrived at the concentration camps. This, though they treated the men were treated terribly as well, shows that even in times like this, men considered themselves more important.

Out of 11 million people killed during the Holocaust, 2.9 million were women. Sadly, 1.5 million were children. If physically able, women were required to participate in grueling forced labor. Many were brutally raped. Pregnant women were sent to the gas chamber as they were unable to work. Children were sent to the gas chamber as they were too young to partake in forced labor. They were seen as "useless." Many also died due to exposure from having insufficient clothing, shelter or starvation. During World War II the roles of women took a drastic change. As the men were fighting, women produced weapons and supplies. Auschwitz was the worst of the concentration camps. It was the largest and most industrialized as it had a train line. Other known camps during this time period were Ravensbruck and Bergen-Belson. Those held at these locations generally died of starvation or illness. During the Holocaust, Poland and Germany inflicted the worst treatment onto women. Unfortunately, women continue to be treated poorly around the world today. For example, this is frequently seen in the Middle East. They are forced to cover themselves and obey their husbands. Adolescent girls often marry as young as age 12. This practice is considered "normal" for those who strictly adhere to the Muslim religion.

Poland had the main death camps. Most of the other countries had just concentration camps which are still bad, but not as bad as death camps. Poland had the most deaths because it had all the death camps. They killed a minimum of 3 million people. A place that's killing women like the holocast is in Iraq. The women were beaten, raped, starved, and anything else you could imagine. Their children were treated unfairly as well, usually being sent to the gas chambers upon arrival at the camp. If they weren't killed, they were expiermented on. In America, the women were hard at work constructing rifles and producing ammo to send to the soldiers in Europe. This was unusual because women were doing a "man's" job. It is estimated 2.9 million women were killed, and 1.5 million children. Germany without a doubt treated women the worst. They treated them like this, because they didn't care who you were, they would kill women anyway. Sadly, there are women who get treated badly in the present day.

Jewish women and children were treated terribly. Children under 12 were sent to the gas chamber because they were too young for hard labor. Women were considered useless. Women stepped up in the war by taking over all the jobs and do all the things men did. Women during the war got to show that they could have more roles than assumed. During the Holocaust, Women were beat and raped on a daily basis. About 3 million women and 1.5 childen died during WW2. In my opinion, Germany treated women the worst. Germany didn't care who you were, they just loved to kill. Because of this, 6 million jewish people died. Sadly, there are still countries like Saudi Arabia who treat women badly.

The holocaust was considered to be one of the most disturbing things ever photograph. Jewish woman and children were treated terribly and considered useless. Also children, elderly, and injured people could work so they were sent to the gas chambers straight away. About 11 million people died, 6 million Jews, 1.5 million children, and 2.9 million women died during the holocaust. Woman's lives in America were greatly improved because they took the role of the men that went to war. Germany was the country that treated woman the worse they had to do very hard labor by building railroads and things like that. Today Saudi Arabia treats woman like they aren't as important as men. Woman aren't aloud to drive cars there and they can't got ethier.

One of the most infamous of the Nazis' ideologies was the idea that all Jews had to die, regardless if they were white, black, female, male, elderly, infant, or whatever. Genocide was their goal. They obviously thought of jewish women, children, and the crippled as lesser-beings but at the end of the day, everyone was killed. All life is precious, but it seems so much more despicable to me personally when someone slaughters an infant or child. With a senior, they already have lived a full life and usually have completed everything he or she has wanted in his or her life. But with a baby or child, you demolish all their potential and hope for the world. During World War II, most of the men were out fighting in the war, of course. Women stayed home, and substituted for many jobs that usually the man of the house would do, including building weapons for the war. This caused a premature end to The Great Depression, and it sparked a rise in feminism. 2.9 million women and 1.1 million children were killed during the holocaust. The countries that had the worst treatment for women are probably the ones that had the highest fatality rates, like Poland. Today, many countries around the world still find women inferior to men, but society is progressing more and more. For example, the United States pretty soon may have the first female president, but Nepal, a country that has very conservatives beliefs, already has one. She, however, still practices old-fashioned behaviors to men.

During the time period known as the holocaust, millions of people died. Out of these million, many were women. Women were treated horribly during the holocaust because they were seen as useless. They were beaten, raped, tortured, and killed. Life inside the concentration camps was barely livable. The women who survived canntell of their gruesome memories. Children were not treated very different. Babies and small children were almost immediately put to death upon arriving the camps. Children who were seen as fit to work endured hard labor. Some children were experimented on for "medical purposes". The death of children was heartbreaking for they had been living innocent lives. Women began to take on men's roles during WWll. Their husbands were often sent to war or concentration camps. They were left to take care of children and themselves while also keeping safe. A large number of 2.9 women were killed and 1.5 live children killed. North of Berlin, the largest concentration camp for women was constructed where women were treated horribly. Women are still treated poorly in places such as the Middle East and countries such as India. There is still discrimination against women throughout the world. In the United States alone we have issues with sexism against women. As the years pass women are standing up for their own rights.

The Holocaust was a terrible and tragic event that took place during WWII. Certain individual camps and certain areas within concentration camps were designated specifically for female prisoners. In May 1939, the SS opened Ravensbrück, the largest Nazi concentration camp established for women. Over 100,000 women had been incarcerated in Ravensbrück by the time Soviet troops liberated the camp in 1945. In 1942, SS authorities established a compound in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp (also known as Auschwitz II) to incarcerate female prisoners. Among the first inmates were prisoners whom the SS transferred from Ravensbrück. At Bergen-Belsen, the camp authorities established a women's camp in 1944. The SS transferred thousands of Jewish female prisoners from Ravensbrück and Auschwitz to Bergen-Belsen during the last year of World War II. The Nazi regime targeted all Jews, both men and women, for persecution and eventually death. The sick, crippled, and children under the age of 12 were immediately killed, because the Germans believed that they were no use and had no reason to be alive. The Holocaust was an event that should have never happened, and didn't even have a good reason to have happened.

Woman were treated very badly because back then they were looked upon as useless. The children were also thought of as useless. Both of them were treated like this because they couldn't do any of the work the guys could do.
Woman's roles changed during World War 2 from alright to just plain horrible because then they weren't even given chances and just killed them off most of the time. In the end 2.9 million woman died and 1.5 children were killed during this time. Germany was the place that treated you the worst because they were right there. Woman are still treated bad in places today.

During the holocost women were treated terribly because of their uselessness for hard labor. Children were also just classified as useless because of their uselessness. Men were known to do more then the women and children which made them better workers during the holocost. In the holocost women were not given the opportunity to do hard labour which is why they were useless. During the holocost around 4.4 million children and women were killed because they were not of any use to the Germans. In Germany the holocost was the deadliest thing to ever happen in the world at the time. Even still today women are not treated with the same amplitude as men witch is why they are still classified as useless.

Jewish women were treated terribly during the Holocaust. They were beaten, raped and made to do forced labor nonstop. The children also were treated very badly. Many of them were immediately sent to the gas chamber. There were 2.9 million women killed killed and 1.5 million children killed during the Holocaust. Women were treated the worst in Nazi Germany during World War II. The roles of women changed during the war. The women had to take on many of the roles that the men used to always do. They did the jobs that men primarily did because the men were off to war. Women are treated the worst and in the Middle Eastern countries. In the United States women are treated more fairly. However, women are still fighting for equality in the United States.

During the Holocaust Jewish women were treated horrible. They were sent to the gas chamber if they were pregnant or crippled. The women that were pregnant or crippled they were forced into labor on camps during the Holocaust. Some of the women were raped while on some of these camps. The children during the Holocaust were treated just as bad as women they were called useless. If the child was 12 or younger they would either be used for experiments, starved to death, or they were sent to the gas chamber. A child over twelve had to go to the forced labor camps. About 1.1 children died, about 3 million women died, and about 6 million Jews died during the Holocaust. The worst place to be if you were a women, child, or Jew during the Holocaust would be Germany but their was plenty more then just Germany but Germany was the worst. Yes their are still women and children getting treated horrible to this day. People please stop treated other humans horrible cause you are just the same as them.

Jewish women and children were both treated horribly. They thought that women were useless and couldn't do work so they mistreated them very badly. The children were treated badly because they thought they couldn't work or do anything so they were no use to them. In WWII women became more powerful because they had to work while their husbands were away at war. They became individuals and proved that they are just as good as any man. 2.9 women were killed and 1.5 million children were killed during the holocost. Many of the countries and most likely all of them back then treated women badly but I think Germany was the worst because they would rape and toucher them. All in all, women and children are important and should not be seen as any less than anyone else.

Jewish women and children are both mistreated. Women were raped and killed because the Germans thought that the Women were too weak for work as well as children under 12 years of age. The Germans had no regard for human life unless you were one of them. I think that women were treated the worst in Germany. Women in the US started getting employed during WWII.

Jewish people were treated very poorly. Woman and children were treated even worse. Woman and kids were considered worthless. 2.9 million of the 6 million Jews were kids. They all passed of lack of clothing, shelter, and starvation. Any kid under the age of 12 were immediately sent to the gas chamber because they were old enough to do any kind of work. Woman, were raped and beaten. They did most of the hard labor which led to death eventually. If they became pregnant, they were either forced to have an abortion, or sent to the gas chamber with kids, elderly, and other people. The woman and kids were treated worse than the men. Germany took its toll on history. All of this happened at the famous Auschwitz Concentration camp. The German people only cared about themselves and didn't have any kind of heart. Other countries had concentration camps, and did this stuff; Germany was the worst of them all though.

Jewish Women and children were treated badly during the Horrible Holocaust. The Women were beaten and raped. The Children were used as test subjects for new science experiments. Women in World War 2, in America, helped create weapons, food, etc. Millions of Jews were killed during the holocaust. A rough number is about six million. About 2.5 million women were killed in the Holocaust. And about 1.5 million children were killed too. Poland had the worst camps. A rough estimate in Poland camp deaths were about 3 million. There are many places in the world that still treat women badly.

Roles of women have changed since WWII because no they don't have to give up their babies, or be raped, beaten, or forced to do work , their allowed to get their on jobs without being killed if you don't do it. 1.5 million children had died during the holocaust, and 6 million women also died during the holocaust too. Auschwitz-Birkenau was one of the worst of all for the women. There are some places in this world were women are treated badly because they don't do what someone tells them to do.

Jewish women and Jewish children were treated horribly. Furthermore, Jewish women were beaten and raped. There was all most identical treatment for Jewish children. Jewish children died from starvation, lack of clothing, and from being experimented on like rats. This would lead to many Jews getting killed as 2.9 million Jewish women were killed and 1.5 million Jewish kids were killed during the Holocaust. However, during World War 2 the roles of women changed drastically in America. The main point is, most jobs that were "men only" now were open to women as now America needed someone to make their guns, work in the factory, and help them win the war so in the future were not speaking German. The country back then that had the worst treatment for women was Germany. The Nazis believed in White MEN Supremacy not White Supremacy. The Nazis are like what Isis is now today. They were a dangerous and noxious terrorist group. They took land, waged war, and executed a mass number of people because of beliefs. There mentalities were we are Nazis and if you are not a Nazi then you are of no value to the government. Even though, we have came a long way from these dark dark times we still need to make a lot more progress. There are some places in the world were some women are left without jobs, left without chances to vote, and sometimes are denied jobs because they are a women. This is not right and this needs to change immediately.

Auchwitz, is known as a concentration camp. Some other camps were Chelmno,Treblinka, Dachau, and a lot more. Auchwitz was the worst. 1.1 million people died in Auchwitz.. Only 144 prisioners had successfully escaped from camp Auchwitz. There were 7000 staff members but only 700 were punished for what they had did. 990 thousand of the 1.1 million were jewish. Which is aprroximately 90 percent..The camp affected Anne Frank because her father was sent to that camp.

In the Holocaust many women and children were either killed or terribly beaten. There was a camp named Aushwitz which was the worst camp you could go to. The Germans would find the weak, poor and even old people and just kill them. Hitler though that none of these people should be living on this earth. Hitler thought he would scare people by taking over Europe and more. I would say this is probably the darkest time period anyone has ever seen. At this time people thought this was wrong just to kill inisent people who didn't do anything to deserve it. After people would die they just kept killing Jewish people. Hitler wanted women in Aushwitz to exterminate them because he thought that they didn't deserve to live on this world. When we look back at this dark period of time this was very cruel and that they were inisent people.

In the Haloucoust there was this camp named Aushwitz. Women went there even the weak and poor people. They had all the bad stuff there to beat you with. The worst one would be the gas chamber where they light you on fire. Or another one would be where they just physically beat you. Jewish families were shocked when they heard about these stories back then because Hitler thought they didn't deserve to live. Children would just be sent to the fire places where they just burn you and you die instantly. If they were women they would be abused and raped. Hitler thought he should kill jews because he thought that they caused him to loose world war ii. In conclusion all of this never should of happened.
