United Airlines Flight 93 was the plane that crash landed on 9/11. Its crew and passengers fought back against the hijackers and crashed the plane in a rural field in PA. There were many options of where the plane was going but no one knows for sure. At the crash sight there is no debris bigger than a phone book. One witness on the scene said that there were only small metal shards for wreckage of the plane. There were reports of seeing no human remains or anything that came close to looking like human remains. The plane had 7 crew members and 37 passengers. The plane was a Boeing 757-200 that took off from Newark, New Jersey at 8:42 am. I have not been to the 9/11 memorial and no one in my family that I know of has been there yet. The 9/11 attacks changed the way we Americans live life today. There are way more safety precautions at the airport now then before 9/11. Now at the airport it can take hours to get on the flight you want to take due to security checks.

On September 11, 2001 the United States was under attack when 4 airlines were hijacked and were used to strike targets. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives. But one of the planes, Flight 93 that was bound for San Francisco went missing from a crater in Shanksville Pennsylvania. My feelings on 9/11 are that it was a horrible tragedy. That caused many people to lose their lives. And scarred the world forever. In conclusion 9/11 was a horrible tragedy that left many people either dead or devastated. Some facts about Flight 93 are that it is now a memorial where people visit and it has had more than 1 million visitors sense 2001.

9/11 caused much damage not only physically but also emotionally for a lot of people. One this day the plane crash into the twin towers occurred. Less popular crashes on that day include the pentagon crash and Flight 93. Flight 93 seems to be the most strange with very small debris and no human remains. This is a weird topic but 9/11 is a big hit for conspiracy theorists, specifically Flight 93. I'm not going to get into it because that is a sensitive topic. The leader of the terrorist group was shot dead in May 2011. I myself have been to the Flight 93 and World Trade Center memorials. Being there you can really feel the devastation that day caused. In the museum in New York you could see the people who were affected. Some people cried including my own mom. 9/11 was a very sad day for America.

On September 11, 2001 much damage was caused by the people trying to tear the country apart. Their attack on the Twin Towers was a American tragedy known by all who have suffered by its destruction or losses. During the 9/11 attack there are also other crashes such as Flight 93. On this flight were a few brave passengers who stood up against the hijackers such as Thomas Burnett Junior, and Todd Beamer. These are just a few of the many people who stood up against the hijackers a Flight 93. Knowing that trying to stop the hijackers would lead to many consequences such as their last day on earth which they were willing to do. It was only hours later when many family members had realized that their beloved ones had passed away during a terrifying Hijack by terrorists. The death of the many people on flight 93 were only a few of the many who have passed away during 9/11. This lead America to a day of sorrow and remembrance of the many lives taken by terroristic acts.

On September 11, 2001, America was under attack by terrorists who hijacked 4 airlines in attempt to sabotage major US symbols. United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked by 4 terrorists. The passengers of Flight 93 fought the hijackers and managed to bring down the plane at the cost of their lives. The plane crashed near Stonycreek Township which is close to Shanksville. On that day, many American lives were lost and America was devastated. Americans realized that they were at war with these terrorists, and it was only the beginning. I was only 10 months old when this happened. I can picture the fear and sorrow that was in my parents' eyes. 9/11 was the day that knocked the world off its feet.

On September 11th, 2001 the world stopped. On this day it was the deadliest terrorist attack to take place in the United States. Terrorists from the group Al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial airlines in an attempt to destroy our symbolic features. Two planes hit the twin towers and another hit the Pentagon. There was one other plane that was supposed to hit the capitol. The hijackers on this plane stormed the cockpit and took over. At this point the passengers realized they had two options and it was to either let it happen or try to fight back. They decided to fight back so when they did they went straight for the ground. They hit near Shanksville, Pennsylvania which is where this memorial is for brave people who stopped this attack. After the attack investigators said there was not much wreckage or remains. I have been there in the past and it is a very sad place. It reminds you of the brave things people do for what they believe in. Aaron Kovack 4th and 5th period

On September 11th, 2001, United Airlines Flight 93 was high jacked by 4 terrorists in an Islamic extremist group called Al Qaeda. There were 4 commercial airlines high jacked in this event. This was the only flight that didn't reach its destination. The other three crashed into the twin towers, and the Pentagon. It was a devastating moment for all Americans. There were 44 people on Flight 93, 37 passengers, 7 crew members, and 4 terrorists. Fortunately, the passengers fought back and was able to stop the flight, landing it in Stonycreek Township near Shanksville, PA. The terrorists were going to crash the plane into the Washington Memorial. There is now a memorial for all the brave people that stopped the plane from reaching its destination.

United Flight 93 was one of the four flights that were involved during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. All four flights resulted in many tragic deaths. However, United Flight 93 had passengers on board who fought back knowing they were going to die. Those on Flight 93 were heroes because they made sure it did not reach its initial target, which some think may have been the White House or Capitol. 9/11 has changed America forever. We now have to be careful when we are in public and have to always be aware of our surroundings. Our country will never forget 9/11. The passengers on United Flight 93 saved many lives on that tragic day.

September 11, 2001 was the day of the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history. However, it would've been even more deadly if Flight 93 would have hit its original target. It departed at 8:42 a.m. from New Jersey and was set to land in San Francisco, but instead was hijacked by four terrorists. The crew of Flight 93 fought back, forcing the plane to land in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The plane crashed down in an open field, so fortunately, nobody besides the people on the plane wee in danger. Thanks to the passengers, the attack wasn't as bad as it could've been. One of these passengers, Thomas Burnett Jr., told his wife via phone before they crashed,"I know we're all going to die. There's three of us who are going to do something about it. I love you, honey," Considering the speed and distance that planes fly in the air, Flight 93 could've very easily crashed in Fairmont, West Virginia instead of where it really did. Most of my immediate family was in West Virginia at the time, so as you can see, the flight's crash was in very close proximity to my family. The 9/11 tragedy has changed the way that Americans feel about the rest of the world. Many now have lost trust with certain groups of people from other countries. Americans became more aware of what people can and will do. Flight 93, and everything else that happened on 9/11, has greatly affected our country.

Imagine you in the aircraft, flight 93, and just finding out that its being taken over. You and a few other hundred would be terrified, yet helpless. The world hasn’t seen an attack like this, so we aren’t prepared for this. You would just be destined to die… For me and my family, I wasn’t around, but knowing that a plane crashed a few hundred miles from us would shock us. Knowing that there are people that hate the world and want to see it burn, we need to prepare for another disaster, so it isn’t as bad as September 11th.

People thought that the Flight 93 was controlled by the government to crash. Some people starting making conspiracies about how the government shot down the plane, while others claim no such flight even existed. The people on the aircraft were trying to gain control from the hijackers. The 9/11 Commission changed the timeline to hide the plane's true fate. Flight 93 was the fourth plane hijacked on 9/11. The hijackings of 9/11 hit my family hard. 9/11 is my dad's birthday, and it was a month after my sister was born. It changed America because we are getting better at trying to prevent more hijackings.

On September 11th 2001, the world watched in awe... The United States was under attack. At 8:45 AM, the terror begun. A hijacked passenger plane departing from Boston, crashes into the north building of the World Trade Center in New York City. 18 minutes later, a second hijacked passenger jet, also departing from Boston, crashes into the other tower of the World Trade Center. When everyone thought it couldn't get worse, it did. Not even an hour after the first attack, The Pentagon is struck by another hijacked aircraft. While all of this is occurring, United Airlines Flight 93 is hijacked and is crashed into a field southeast of Pittsburgh. This is the forgotten plane of 9/11. The plane departed from Newark, New Jersey heading to San Francisco. 46 minutes into the flight, the hijacking begun. 4 Al-Qaeda were responsible for the flight 93 highjacking. In the vicinity of Cleveland, Ohio the airplane is turned around and heads to Washington, D.C. The passengers on the plane were desperately trying to get into in the cockpit and take control of the plane. Finally the passengers took control of the plane and crash landed it in a field in Pennsylvania near Shanksville. If you think about it, where the plane crashed is relatively close to our location. If the plane would have changed direction slightly, it could have possibly have come very close to Fairmont or Morgantown. I also have relatives who live in Johnstown, which is within 40 miles of Shanksville. Due to 9/11 security is a lot tighter at airports due to 9/11. I think americans realized how dangerous the world really is and terrorist attacks can affect them.

On September 11, 2001 Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania killing forty-four people including the four hijackers. The passengers took a vote about whether or not to fight against the hijackers. At 9:57 the passengers started their revolt. There is belief that the hijackers stayed in control of the plane and there is belief from the families of passengers, after hearing the video recording, that the passengers did breach the cockpit. I have been to both, the 9/11 Memorial Museum and the Flight 93 Memorial. At both of these places you can feel the devastation that September 11 has caused. Many Americans are more cautious when flying because of the memory of 9/11. In conclusion 9/11 was a very devastating day for America.

9/11 was a terrible tragedy in american history. 4 planes crashed, and a lot of dammage was done. 1 plane had crashed in to the twin towers in New York, one in the pentagon in Washington DC, another in the world traid center, and finally, in flight 93 which crashed in an empty feild near shanksville, Pennsylvania. People didn't survive even when the plane crashed in the feild, but it was better than destroying a building where even more people were killed, while not even being on one of the planes. THE pentagon was not as badly dammaged as the other buildings however, and was able to be repared. I was a baby when this occured and remember nothing about it except what I've learned about it over the years, and heard people's thoughts. I remember teachers that I've had that have told me what they were doing as it occured and how scared and sad they were for the people who've lost their lives and the families that are badly dammaged emotionally because of the horible tragedies that took place that very day. In conclusion, 9/11 was a terrible tragedy in US history because of the lives lost, dammage done to families and buildings that can not be repared no matter how you try to fix them, and airports never being the same again. On September 11, 2001 terrorists attempted to rip our country apart. As many people know, several planes were hijacked by terrorists to attack America. The most memorable part of that day is when the International Trade Centers were hit, many people forgot about the plane that was headed for the either the White House or the Capital Building. That plane was crashed into a field in Shanksville, PA. The passengers of Flight 93 are believed to have stormed the cockpit of the plane causing the plane to crash early. The plane hit the field and is now a memorial for the people that died on the Flight 93 plane. The plane was said to disintegrate from fire and not have much rubble, it was only a hole in the Shanksville field. Before I moved to West Virginia, my family and I lived in New Paris, PA which is only 25 miles from where the plane went down in Shanksville. My uncle told me that he felt the ground shake the morning the plane crashed. Now there are many flight precautions taken before any plane is allowed to take off, much more security to make sure that America won't have to experience 9/11 ever again.

On September 11th,2001 America experienced the worst terrorist attack on its soil. The terrorist group al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial planes and crashed two into the twin towers and one into the pentagon. It is not know where the fourth planes target was intended for because United flight 93's passengers heroic efforts lead by Todd Beamer and Thomas Burnet Jr. saved many lives that day. Fourty five passengers were killed as the plane nose dived into the ground, causing a huge crater with debris no bigger than a phone book. This hits home for me because my uncle only lives a few hours from the crash site. 9/11 has changed the way Americans feel about travel and safety it has made our airports have far more restrictions and security than ever before.

On September 11, 2001, a very depressing event occurred on U.S soil. That horrific event was the hijack of Flight 93. The airplane was high jacked by members of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group.Thirty three terrified passengers had no idea what to expect of this tragedy. The airplane was headed straight for Washington D.C. The plane was knocked off course by brave passengers and crashed into a rural field in Pennsylvania. Everyone aboard Flight 93 was killed for a great reason. In honor, the Flight 93 memorial was created. I have visited the memorial and witnessed the site of the crash and the names of the brave passengers. This event had little effect on my family compared to the devastating effects that it had on the passengers beloved families.

Flight 93 was only one of the four airplanes that were hijacked. The first two planes were flown into the two World Trade Center Buildings The third plane was flown into the western side of the pentagon. Flight 93 didn’t crash into its intended target. If the passengers and crew wouldn’t have fought against the terrorist, then more people would have died. Nearly three thousand people died during the 911 attack. The number would be higher than three thousand if people on flight 93 didn’t fight for their lives.

United Airlines Flight 93 was a domestic scheduled passenger flight that was hijacked by four Al-Qaeda terrorists during the horrific falling of the twin towers on September eleventh. This very plane crashed in a open field in Somerest County, Pennsylvania from a brave attempt to regain control from Al-Qaeda. As a result, all 44 people on board died. But their names are still honored today at their memorial located at the point impact of Flight 93. The planned destination is unknown to this day, but many believe it was the White House or the Capitol Building. Some victims even spoke to their beloved ones who informed them of the previous attacks. Just to give you an idea of the fear they felt, a man by the name of Tom Burnett was on the phone with his wife while aboard the plane. He thought the bomb threats were just to keep everyone at their command. After learning of the Twin Towers falling, his exact words to his wife were,"Oh my God... It's a suicide mission."

9/11 was a tragic and scary story and experience that no American would ever want to live through again. Many people for the first time experienced tragedies of this nature. A terrorist attack on US soil. Other countries have been through a lot of terror attacks in the past. But not the U.S.A., it was considered a safe heaven. It was just an ordinary day flight 93 was just boarding passengers and then the plane took off as usual. The hijack started at 9:20 A.M. 9/11 did not affect me physically. It really affected my Dad because he flew all of the time for work. Flight 93 crashed in PA which is about two hours away from my home.

On September 11, 2001, United Airlines Flight 93 crashed into a field at 580 miles per hour in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The plane was hijacked by members of the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda. However, passengers were able to crash the plane into the Shanksville field because Flight 93 was delayed, so there was enough time for the news to travel to the passengers. They realized they were going to die anyway and decided to die gallantly. Out of a total of 3000 fatalities, 44 of them were from Flight 93, including a mother and her unborn child. Eventually, the plane's black box was discovered. These events caused security everywhere, especially airports, to be heightened. While these catastrophic events greatly shocked my family, they had experienced nothing compared to those brave people.

September 11th, 2001 was a day that changed the world forever. The terrorist attacks that were carried out by Al-Qaeda resulted in the largest loss of life by a foreign attack on American soil. Flight 93 is one of the lesser known of the four attacks, but it has a lasting impact on the world. Flight 93 took off at 8:42 A.M. from Newark, New Jersey with 33 passengers 7 crew members after about a 45 minute delay. The delay disrupted the terrorists timeline for the attacks, and unlike the hijackers on the other flights, the hijackers on flight 93 did not attempt to take control of the plane until about 40 minutes into the flight. The passengers took a vote on what to do, and decided that they were going to take the plane back. The effort was led by Thomas Burnett Jr. And Todd Beamer. After struggling for control of the plane, it crashed into a field near Shankstown, PA. I have never been to the Flight 93 memorial, or the 9/11 memorial, but I look forward to seeing the memorial next week. The 9/11 attacks greatly changed how we see the world, and drastically changed the way we traveled. Airport security is taken extremely serious. You have to go through hours of security checks. While tedious, these precautions keep us safe from another tragedy like 9/11. I hope we never forget 9/11 and the heroes of Flight 93.

Flight 93 and the events surrounding it are subject to much conjecture as to what really happened and if what has been presented in the media is what actually took place. The known facts are that it was in fact hijacked by a muslim group financed by Osama Bin Laden. After that, there is many unknowns such as where the hijackers planned to crash the plane. Were they headed for the White House, the US Capitol or another high profile target? There are also many conflicting reports as to how the plane ended up on the ground near Shanksville PA. The story presented by the media was that some of the planes passengers helped overpower the hijackers and crash the plane, but there was also witnesses that reported hearing a boom before the plane came down and crashed and locals reported seeing and hearing a military jet close to the area. The debris field was reported to be abnormally large for a plane that crashed intact into the ground and has been said to be more consistant with a plane being shot and brought down. The full truth may never be known, but the events of 9/11 have forever changed the way security when we travel is handled. My Uncle Tony was nearly inside the World Trade Center on 9/11, but he missed the subway car and was late for his meeting inside the building. He cane out of the subway just as the towers were coming down and he ran up the street for blocks to get to safety.

Flight 93 was one (1) of the four (4) planes that was hijacked by terrorists and crashed on September 11, 2001, which is most commonly referred to a 9/11. Two (2) of the hijacked planes were crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City. The third plane was crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Flight 93 was scheduled to land in San Francisco, but crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. It was speculated that Flight 93 was being redirected to crash into the United States Capital. Based on the investigation following 9/11, the passengers on board Flight 93 had been notified by loved ones of the other plane crashes. They decided to rally together to try to regain control of the plane. Unfortunately, their efforts did not avoid a crash, but they saved the Capital or any other target in Washington D.C.
September 11th was a terrible day in our country's history. There were no survivors from any of the four (4) planes and thousands of people were killed on the ground. On Flight 93, no human remains were recovered and no piece of wreckage bigger than a phone book was found.
I have been to the 9/11 Memorial multiple times. I have been to the Freedom Tower two (2) times. This summer, I was able to tour the Freedom Tower. There was so much information included in the tour. It was overwhelming and very emotional. Although I was not born on 9/11, the closest relation I have to the event was that my father was in New York City on the day of the terrorist attack. He was stranded in the city for five (5) days. He has told me how scary it was during that time. I learned a lot about the 9/11 terrorist attacks by watching all of the documentaries on the 10th anniversary of the attack and during the tour. What I have learned the most about 9/11 is how united our Country became. People became more patriotic and relied on one another for support.

But when they fought the terroists the passengers saved many lives until they crashed into the ground. the world trade center by crashing the plane in Shanksville, Pennsylvania . When they crashed all there was left of the plane was debris and the whole rest of the plane was know where to be found. Instantly reporters and the news went to check it out. As it’s almost the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the whole event has been analyzed to the bare bones of the effects of the terrible tragedy. As you’ve heard time and time again, September 11, 2001 was a day when four planes attempted to hit key, defining parts of the United States. The most infamous of the places is. of course, the two planes that hit the twin towers and the plane that hit the Pentagon, but many forget to name the crash of United Airlines Flight 93. What happened, was terrorists hijacked that plane and meant it to be taken to somewhere in Washington, D.C., most likely the White House or the Capitol Building, but in a turn of events, the passengers heroically overpowered the plane so no building or people would get hurt except for themselves. The plane later crashed in a rural area in Pennsylvania. I have been to the memorial, and it’s especially sad because it showed the passengers as real people that had lives and families. One woman was even pregnant. Anyway, like I said earlier, there are lots of speculation for how things would be different if 9/11 never happened. What I personally find interesting is whether or not Kerry would have won in the 2004 election if George Bush was never able to get votes from the emotions of 9/11. And the answer to that is… maybe. After looking at some data, Bush’s approval rating sky rocketed right after 9/11. Many people tried to be patriotic from America at the worst of times, which includes loving your president. So, if 9/11 didn’t happen, there is a possibility that people were still enraged about the 2000 election, which would have been a victory for Kerry. But, whether or not the results would have been different, 9/11 was still a terrible tragedy.

On September 11, 2001 all of America was struck with fear. Four planes crashed into America's symbolic places. Two of which crashed into the World Trade Center. The third crashed into the Pentagon. The final plane was headed for the White House, Flight 93, but never made it. The 4 terrorists aboard stormed the cockpit and threatened to blow their bomb and kill everyone instantly. The passengers decided that they were going to die anyway. So they took a vote on whether to attack the terrorist or not. At 9:57 the 40 passengers started their invasion and luckily stopped the plane from hitting the White House and landing in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, but sadly none of the 44 passengers made it out alive. The most interesting part about the crash is that there was barely any debris, and little to no bodies were found at all. Not only did 9/11 affect America emotionally, but it also made everyone more careful in airports. But overall, 9/11 was a very sad day for Americans.

The plane was heading supposedly headed to the Whitem House or the Capital building. The hijackers stormed the cockpit and threatend to blow up a bomb. The passengers made calls to their families and decided to try and stop the hijackers. The plane ended up crashing in Shanksville,PA and hurt no people on the ground. Everybody on the plane died but no big pieces of debris were found only tiny pieces. I feel that if the passented hadn't acted out then it would have been a lot worse than it was. Even though many people died on that plane it prevented a more vicious and effective crash.

About forty-three minutes into the flight they took over the flight crew. The passengers put up a fight and managed to land it near Shanksville, Pennsylvania instead. There were other aircrafts that were hijacked, but Flight 93 was the only one that didn't make it to the intended target. My mom said that everyone was depressed for the next few days after 9/11. Ever since the tragedy, airports have more security. 9/11 was the most tragic event in United States history.

On September 11, 2001, a devastating event occurred in the United States. Four different planes were overtaken by terrorists and were set to crash into important landmarks. One of these was Flight 93, which first departed from Newark, New Jersey. The passengers decided to take the plane back from their attackers and took control enough to crash the plane into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Little wreckage was found and no identifiable bodies were discovered. There is now a Flight 93 memorial in that field to remember the brave passengers that saved the lives of others and kept the important landmarks of the United States from being destroyed.

The September 11 attacks were devastating. This is the day that an Islamic group attacked the twin towers, the pentagon, and one crashed near Pittsburgh. The attacks killed 2,996 people and injured over 6,000. Within 2 hours, both towers collapsed. The plane that crashed in Pittsburgh was heading for New Jersey. The passengers took control of the plane and crashed it into a field. The United States launched the War on Terror. There was little debris in the fields in Pittsburgh but so much more with the twin towers. There is now a memorial that stands in New York for all of the brave passengers that fought in 9/11. This is all over now but every citizen will remember 9/11.

On the day September 11,2001 many live were taken away. The exact amount of lives that were taken away from a plane crash is 2,996. The twin towers got attacked by a group of Islamic people and their goal was to take out as many American lives as possible and they took out many Americans which over 8,000 people were injured and killed. Both of the towers went down in between 1 and 2 hours. The plane then traveled a little farther and landed in a field in PA, and it was controlled by passengers when it went down. Many planes were hijacked but Flight 93 was one that had no intended target. We will always remember 9/11!

On September 11, 2001, the United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked by four terrorists on board during the September 11 attacks. When the plane crashed, the impact from the crash instantly killed all 40 passengers and the 4 terrorists, everyone on board. People near by the crash scene thought that it was an earthquake because of the way that it shook the earth. When the people near by got to the crash scene, all they pretty much saw was pieces of metal scattered everywhere, a huge whole in the ground, and zero signs of human remigns. All of the September 11 crashes cost around 3,000 lives and many families hearts broken. Since 9/11, people think of terrorists way differently, now security in airports is way more secure and not linneant at all. In conclusion, Flight 93 and all of the 9/11 crashes caused heart broken families, there are now memorials dedicated to the crashes, and everyone alive at the time in shock.

Two planes crashed in the World Trade Center, One in Shanksville Pennsylvania, and one in the Pentagon. Everyone was feared by this devestation that happened on this day. The one that crashed in Shanksville Pennsylvania was actually taken control of the U.S. citizens that were on the plane at the time and ended up crashing the plane risking their lives to save others. There was only little debri spread around the field but it was for sure a big impact.

September 11, 2001 was a tragic day for America. On this day, their were four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Isalmic terrorist group al Qaeda. Due to the 9/11 attack, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives and over 6,000 people were injured. There were four hijacked airplanes, Flight 93 being amoung them. Flight 93 was scheduled to land in San Fransiscco, however the terrorists who hijacked the plane were headed straight for the U.S. Capitol. After hearing of the previous attacks, 40 brave passengers on this flight were able to overpower the terrorists, causing the planned attack on the Capitol to be hindered. Unfortunalely, the plane crashed down in Stoystown, Pennsylvania. None of the 40 brave passengers survived.
After this terrible assault to our country, it seemed that the United States citizens pulled together and donated their time, money, and other resources to help rebuild what was so violently destroyed. However, many peoples' lives were forever changed with loss of their loved ones whom they can never get back.

September 11, 2001 became an infamous day in history, because that was when four Boeing airliners were hijacked and deliberately crashed by members of Al-Qaeda. Two Boeing 767-200er commercial airliners crashed into the two World Trade Center towers, toppling them. Two other airliners, both Boeing 757-200 models, were also crashed. One went into the Pentagon, and one wrecked into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at 560mph. Flight 93, which crashed into the empty field, did so because the 37 passengers took it back. After the four members of Al-Qaeda killed the pilot and co-pilot, they assumed control. They had red bandanas around their heads, and one claimed he had a bomb in his bag. Most of the passengers were shoved to the back of the plane, to prevent them from distracting the pilot. After calling family and friends, they were convinced that they should fight back. The passengers rushed the terrorists with boiling water and butter knives from the in-flight meals they had had earlier. The passengers managed to successfully take back the airplane, which would've most likely wrecked into the White House if they had not stepped in. Shanksville is about two hours away by car, so Flight 93 could've easily gone down in Morgantown or Fairmont. 9/11 was a devestating tragedy, but it didn't have nearly the affect it did on my family as it did on the families that lost loved ones that day. Due to those attacks, America went into a war with terror organizations that costed even more lives. Now, the security of our great nation is still on high alert from the terror attacks 15 years ago.

On September 11th there was one of the most horrific attacks in United States history. An islomic group attacked the twin towers, the pentagon, and another plane was crashed down by the passengers. The people in the plane were on the phone and were aware of what was happening. They then realized they had to step up. It was either their lives or the lives of many more. These brave people saved a countless number of lives. The names of the brave passengers were written down on the memorial in New York. If it wasnt for them the most devastaing event in United States history couldve been twice as worse. In my family there was no actual connection to 9/11. But my mom remembers watching it on the news while she was in school. Other than that this even killed the lives of many and was an emotional occurance and still is to this day. I have no true connection to 9/11 but it is not a fun thing to look back at. We do remember the lives of those that got took, and their heroic actions. Would you have done the same thing that the passengers did on that day?

Nearly 15 years ago, one of the greatest tragedies in United States history took place. On September 11th, 2001, four planes were hijacked by 19 terrorists belonging to the Islamic terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. Two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were flown into the North and South towers, respectively, of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing a total of 2,606 people and injuring more than 6,000 others. A third plane, American Airlines Flight 77, was crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, killing 125 people. Lastly, a fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed into a field near the Diamond T. Mine in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, killing all 44 people aboard (including the 4 hijackers). This crash is especially notable because passengers valiantly fought back against the terrorists hijacking their plane. The plane was believed to be targeting the White House. The crash site itself was also pretty odd; it had very few human remains, and the debris scattered up to eight miles from the original place of impact. Having been to both the Flight 93 Memorial and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, I've seen the somberness and raw emotion firsthand. Though this tragedy may have occurred almost 15 years ago, it's still fresh in the minds of those who lived it.

When you think about it, you start to realize how close Flight 93 was to us. The plane went down in a feild Shanksville PA and was thought to be heading for the White House in Washington DC. The airline was apart off the 9/11 terrorist attack. The terrorist were able to board the plane with knifes and box cutters. The plane was departing from New Jersey and was going to San Francisco, California. While the plane was in the air the terrorists took over the plane. Riskying there lives, the passengers of Flight 93 managed to take control of the plane again and crashed it into the feild. Unfortionaly about 44 peoples lives were lost in the plane crash. The crash site debris was scattered everywhere, they manganed to find the black from the plane 25 feet below ground. The 9/11 attacks made us Americans think that the country wasn't as safe as we thought it was. Also Americans might have felt the we should get revenge for all the lives lost.

Shankesville PA is only 79 miles from Fairmont. If that plane would've crashed in fairmont our lives would've changed drastically. Flight 93 was a scheduled flight, but was hijacked by Al-Queda while in flight. To this day, nobody knows where the flight was headed, but many rumors say The White House or the capital building were possible destinations. 9/11 changed America in so many ways. Now we all worry about terrorists and bombings. If 9/11 would've never happened I don't think we would really think about that stuff happening. The bombing of the twin towers really made America uneasy and uncomfortable. Although 9/11brought a ton of tragic to the United States, it united everyone and brought people together.

Because of some heroic passengers on Flight 93, there would have been a lot more deaths than 3000. The people on the plane put to a vote that they would try to do something. Some told family members they were talking to on their phones or on the planes phone of their plans and that they loved them. Thomas Burnett Jr., Todd Beamer, Sandy Bradshaw and others decided to attack. The hijackers were scared that the passengers were going to break through the cockpit so they crashed the plane earlier than they wanted. I was not born when the world came to a stop due to the terrorist attacks, but my mother works for the government and remembers exactly what she was doing at the time of the attack. She stated that even though everyone stopped to watch the horror on TV news reports, she and her coworkers had to remain working to help protect our country.

People thought the plane was headed for the white house in Washington DC. The Twin Towers were destroyed, the 9/11 incident was tragic. Approximately many people were killed or hospitalized. Many American citizens used their time to help rebuild the destroyed buildings. They all donated money to help buy the material and things for the towers. It was a painful and tragic day for America, for example many people were just doing their daily routine when this occurred. All shows were interrupted and the news came on and informed everyone on what was going on. Everyone was terrified, children wee in school, adults were working, everyone petrified. Parents had to get their children from school, scared to drive. A person on the plane actually helped save many people.

United Flight 93 was a terrible tragedy in our country along with the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. On the flight there were 44 total people on board including the crew. Only after a short 46 minutes after takeoff the attacks began. The passengers retaliated by attacking the terrorists and regaining control of the plane but shortly after they crashed into a field in PA. I believe that 9/11 was one of the most horrific tragedies in the history of the United States. This tragedy changed everything about how we feel about the world. We learned to live while we can and not take things for granted. It changed the world forever and it changed the lives of the family's of the decest. All that's was left was little peices of metal. Americans then realized a war was starting between them and terrorists. It caused many to loose their lives. There needs to be better security before a plane can leave. This was a very sad time for many. The passengers tried to take control. That is when the plane crashed. Many people go to visit the area. The fate of United Airlines flight 93, the last of the four hijacked planes to go down in the United States on September 11, 2001, changed the world forever. The attack made by members of the Al- Qaeda terrorist group is responsible for the largest loss of life on American soil. Flight 93 originated in Newark, New Jersey, and was originally destined for San Francisco. The flight had a total of 44 passengers, all of which lost their life. Flight 93 crashed down into a field in rural Shankstown Pennsylvania, never reaching its intended target. It's crew and passengers fought back against the terrorists, and crashed the plane. Due to their act of bravery, a significant amount of lives were most likely saved. Following all of the 9/11 attacks, airport security has strengthened for our safety. It has also became more difficult to obtain a pilot license. Following the attacks, the Transportation Security Adminstration implemented new rules for flight schools. All applicants must now prove that they are U.S. Citizens, and present valid birth certificates or passports. A citizen of a foreign country must register with the TSA and complete a lengthy background check. These changes were put into place following 9/11 as several of the terrorists were believed to have taken flight lessons in the United States during 2000 and 2001. For the most part, I feel safe traveling. Although the attacks took place nearly 15 years ago, my family feels like it was yesterday. It was a tense day for them as my Aunt Lori was working in New York City near another attack location on that fateful day. She was unreachable until the evening hours. September 11 is remembered each year. Although it is a day that tore our country apart, it is also a day that has brought us together.

As we all know, the terrorist attack on 9/11 was a terrible scare for our country. 4 planes crashed that day killing about 3,000 people, flight 93 was one of the planes to crash. It was a normal flight non stop from New Jersey to California but what the passengers didn't know is that there were 4 terrorists on that plane. This flight was delayed and once they finally got on the other 3 attacks had already happened. When the passengers found out about these they realized their plane was also being hijacked. The passengers decided they had to do something it was either them or the people in the White House. The decision made upon them all was to crash it themselves. Yet, the terrorists got yo it first they thought it was better to crash it then to risk the passengers taking control. Everything about the 9/11 attacks were scary but knowing that someone is in control of something bad and you can't do anything about it is extremely scary. Also, knowing that these things are happening so close to us and could have easily hit Fairmont shook up my family and most others. We obviously knew that things like this could happen anywhere but no one ever thinks that would happen to us. It hurt the U.S. mentally and physically now we have to think about the bad things that could happen and so much damage was done. 9/11 tought U.S. citizens that we are not invincible bad things happen everywhere. It might have made us realize that the world is not always peaceful and other places could have it much worse.

They succeeded and doing so all lives were lost but they in doing so they saved probably the president, Vice President, and many other people around the white at that time. Many people believe that the plane never did crash and the government just shot a missle at the ground, which kind of explains all of the tiny wreckage.

On September eleventh, 2001, our country took a hit. flight 93 was only one of four planes that crashed that day. two hit the world trait center and one hit the pentagon. The planes were hijacked in mid-air and eventually the passengers gave their lives to crash it into the ground. It was the only plane that day that didn't reach its intended destination. Its believed by many that it was going to hit either the White House or the Capitol Building. I wasn't affected by all of this personally because I wasn't living at the time in which all of this happened. There's a line in a famous song about nine eleven that says, where were you when the world stopped turning. And from what I hear, that is a pretty reasonable question to ask. Just think... one minuet a plane hits the world trait center. Then another. Then one hits the pentagon. And one in Pennsylvania. Imagine sitting in what you believed to be the safety of your own home, watching TV only to find that planes are falling from the sky and that your country is under attack.

Flight 93 was only about 30 minutes away from landing in fairmont. She was at work at allegany power in an office by herself. The news was on when she heard about it first. None of her loved ones were on any planes. But it did frighten her about flying again. The next time she flew in a plane was in 2005. She was in shock for months because it was always on the news but still kind of effects her today. The way things act she never thought terrorist would attack. September 11, 2001 started off as any normal beautiful day. People woke up, had their breakfast, kissed their family members goodbye, and headed off to work. These people never saw what was going to happen. On this day, terrorists hijacked 4 planes. Two planes crashed in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and one crash landed in Shanksville PA.Over 3,000 people died. Everyone fought as hard as they could to survive. What once was a pretty day turned to nothing but ash, death, and sorrow. All the people who were looking forward to waking up the next day, now couldn't. The terrorists knew hijacking the planes, and causing many to pass would break the U.S apart. They knew if they could kill this many people it would cause much heartbreak and loss. The terrorists were right, it did bring us down. What they don't realize though is even though so much pain and loss occurred that day, it's brought everyone much closer togehter. It's given us a reason to love each other more. They caused much destruction during this day; dark clouds filled the skies for weeks after the tradgedy happened. But the sun couldnt shine brighter in those places than it does now, for all the people who died. 9/11 will never be forgotten and in all, this country is much stronger than what it used to be because of this event.

Flight 93 was a Boeing 757. It was the last flight to go down; in an open field in Somerset County, PA. Everyone died. Its capacity is 182 passengers. Terrorists looked for flights with few passengers, that were non-stop, flights with lots of fuel that will cause a lot of destruction. Departing at same time as another plain that they can coordinate and do a surprise attack. Flight 93 was delayed 25 mins due to heavy morning traffic.

Currently, Shanksville is 112 miles from my home on Norway Rd. In 2001, my parents lived in Nutter Fort, WV; that was 125 miles from Shanksville.

9/11 has become a historic day for America, because it was the most tragic day for many. Not only the ones involved, but the families that lost loved ones. That night it brought many neighbors together for a prayer vigil to pray for our country, and the lost. People were brought closer to each other.
