Holocaust Footage (1945) - Part One - [WARNING: DISTRESSING IMAGES]

Why did the Allies get involved in World War II? Why didnt we ignore Hitler? Why was America anxious to help in the war?

In the Holocaust women were treated horribly. The women were beatend and raped. The children were put at work and if the work was unfinished or they argued back they were beatend. One of the camps were Auschwitz, they were ran by soldiers. This was the biggest and most industrialized camp. Anne Frank's father was sent there but later escaped and lived. His other family and friends sadly passed away. It did not matter what camp the people went to they were all tortured. No one could ignore Hitler because his army was approaching quickly. If you didn't get in the war with him you were against him and you were going to die.

The allies got involved during World War 2 because of Hitler's actions. These allies were invaded or under the direct threat of invasion. We didn't ignore Hitler because he was threatening the allies. And is a horrible person. Who made a lot of terrible decisions. And that's why we didn't ignore him because people weren't just gonna sit around and watch there whole life be ruined. America was anxious to help during the war because they didn't want to draw attention to themselves. And to risk having Hitler do something. So that is why America was anxious to help during World War 2

The systematic persecution of German Jewry began with Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in 1933. Facing economic, social, and political oppression, thousands of German Jews wanted to flee the Third Reich but found few countries willing to accept them. Eventually, under Hitler’s leadership, some 6 million Jews were murdered during World War II. We didn't ignore Hitler because he continuously tried to invade one country after another and would not stop. So we decided that it was enough. Although America was anxious to get involved, they didn't want Hitler to do anything. America was under the threat of getting invaded, so we stepped up and prevented it.

The Allies got involved in World War Two because the countries Great Britain, the U.S., Soviet Union, and France were either invaded or under the direct threat of invasion by the Axis Powers. The involvement of many of the Allies was natural and inevitable, meaning at some point in WW2 we would have had to get involved. The U.S. had to get involved because of the Pearl Harbor attack from Japan. There was no way we could ignore Hitler. What he was doing was too bad for anybody to ignore completely. I'm sure that some people tried to pay no attention to the acts he was putting on, but it was nearly impossible to not avoid thinking about him or the war. America was probably anxious to get in the war because of the Pearl Harbor attack and because of the threats from other countries. Also, it would probably be hard to just stand there and watch the rest of the world break apart.

The allies got involved in WW Two because Great Britain, The U.S.., Soviet Union, and France were invaded/ under attack by the Axis powers. We didn't ignore hitler because if we did ignore Hitler he could've and probably would've tooken over U.S.A.. He was a very powerful man if he wasn't tooken serious he could've really did damage to our country for the worst. It was very wierd how he took control of many other countries with little to no fight at all. America was anxious to help in the war because of The Pearl Harbor attack and threats from other countries. Also it would be very hard to sit there and allow the county to break apart in their eyes. I am very thankful that The U.S. hopes in the war because if not me and the rest of my friends and all would be speaking German. It could've been worse off now then before because their are more blacks, and many different cultures and religions.

The Allies got involved in WWII because of Hitler's rise to power in 1933. Great Britain, the U.S., the Soviet Union, and France were the only ones to stand up to Germany dominating other countries. At the beginning, the Allies weren't doing great. America had just been bombed by Japan, one of the Axis Powers, and was anxious to get into the war. It wasn't until America joining the war in 1941 did the Allies have a fighting chance against Germany. A lot of other countries remained neutral, leaving them an easy target for Germany. And to think, Great Britain had arrested Hitler before his rise to power. But they let him go. Think about the lives that would've been saved.

The Allies, such as America got involved in the war because Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Great Britain and France declared war on Germany because Hitler invaded Poland and many other countries which they did not like. We didn't ignore Hitler because of all the horrific acts he was doing to innocent people. Hitler wanted the world to belong to him and the Allies didn't want that to happen. America was anxious to help in the war because Germany was trying to destroy the Jewish race and we could not let this slide, especially after the Pearl Harbor attack. Also, if the Allies didn't declare war, would the world still be the same that it was during that time period?

There were many reasons why we got involved in World War II. One of the main reasons was when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and took out our entire navy in the Pacific Ocean. Other reasons included the Germans trying to completely kill all Jewish people and because Hitler was taking over Europe. America knew that if Hitler wasn't stopped he could of taken over Russia and Africa. With all that power Hitler could then try to take over North and South America, taking over the world. America knew as long if we could stay sided with the Soviet Union we could sandwich Hitler and put a stop to him. We also knew that if we beat Germany once we could hopefully beat them again. People could now only imagine if we hadn't have helped and Hitler took over the world and changed it.

The four central Allied Powers included Great Britain, France, the United States, and the Soviet Union. The first two, Great Britain and France, first declared war on Germany when Hitler invaded Poland on September 1st, 1939, shortly after taking over the entirety of Czechoslovakia, marking the beginning of World War II. America, on the other hand, isolated itself, not eager to send more soldiers into a war after the casualties of World War I, although President Roosevelt strongly favored joining the war in Europe or at least assisting the Allies. It wasn't until the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, that the U.S was willing to fight in a foreign war. Congress declared war on Japan the next day, three days later Germany and Italy declared war on America, and suddenly the U.S. had become an Allied Power in World War II. The Soviet Union joined the Allies shortly after Hitler broke his pact to not attack the country. The Allies didn't ignore Hitler because they realized that, if he came to power in enough countries, he'd be able to take over France, Great Britain, any other country really, or otherwise destroy them; he wouldn't ever stop if he got enough power, so they had to put a stop to it before it got too far. Sadly, it seemed less about saving the lives of innocent people and more about protecting yourself (specifically Great Britain and France) or revenge (specifically America and the Soviet Union). The innocent lives being lost due to the Holocaust seemed like an afterthought, although the acceptance of Jews escaping war-torn countries (and the Holocaust) in the Allied countries as well as countries nearby should still be taken into account. America in particular was especially anxious to join the war after the bombing of Pearl Harbor; it was a matter of national pride and not just laying down and taking the attacks from Japan or anyone else. The bombing made American citizens angry, so they willingly participated in the war however they could with great fervor. Imagine if this chain of events hadn't happened. What if the U.S or Soviet Union had just stood aside, isolated, as other countries in Europe were invaded and devastated by war? Most likely, Hitler and the Axis would've amassed enough power to take over any other countries that had not aligned with them during the war. I don't know about you, but the idea of such a hateful, abominable person having so much power is terrifying to me.

The allies got involved in World War ll because they were invaded or under the direct threat of being invaded by Hitler. We did not ignore Hitler since his power rose to a third of the votes. Two thirds of Germans did not vote for him. He was never willing to play by democratic rules. We did not ignore Hitler because we knew that we could not gift him off. He had made many horrific acts to many innocent people. Hitler wanted the world to himself but the allies did not want that to happen. America was anxious to help in the war because they did not want to draw any more attention to themselves. They did not want Hitler to do anything. The Allied Powers got involved in WW2, because of the attacks Hitler's Nazis and other Axis Powers carried out on these countries. In America, the most widely known attack would be Pearl Harbor. Some of the attacks didn't happen in one day, though. Great Britain joined the war because of its pledge to lend military support to Poland if it ever got invaded, which happened on September 1st, 1939. The Soviet Union switched from Axis to Allied Powers in the middle of the war because Hitler activated Operation Barbarossa, which called for the invasion of the Soviet Union. We couldn't just ignore Hitler, because he was after global domination. That couldn't happen with the U.S. in his way. He would've had to attack America eventually. Plus, Japan launched the attack on Pearl Harbor, and because Japan was an ally of Germany and Italy, we had to fight both. America probably wasn't anxious to get into another war on a global scale, because we had just finished one a few years prior. Plus, America was dealing with the Great Depression at the time, so we didn't want to try to spend money on war (because war costs a LOT). We had to eventually, but it made an unprecedented impact on the economy. World War 2 actually ended the Great Depression by giving millions of Americans jobs as soldiers.

World War II was a very hoorific and depressing time for the United States and many other countries. United States got in involved in World War II because of many different reasons. I think the main reason we got into the war is because Japan drug us in when the bombed Parl Harbor. Another reason is whenever Germans were taking over countries around them, and trying to eliminate all Jewish people. One big reason that we didn't ignore Hitler is because if we didn't do something about him he could've ended up killing all Jews. He also could have ended up taking over most of Russia and Africa. The main reason we were anxious to join the war because we really didn't want to draw much attention to our selfs.

The allies had to get involved in World War 2. The reason is that they couldn’t just let Hitler take over Europe. Hitler was a brutal man that kill if he could. if we didn’t step in and stop Hitler, he would take over Europe, or worse, the whole world. If we had ignored Hitler, million would’ve died. America was very anxious to help in World War 2. For example, we all know how big America’s military is and how good their strategies can be. If needs one a hard military hitter, America has your back.

There were many reasons the allies had to get involved in World War 2. Hitler was quickly destroying and claiming neiboring countries. It is hard to think about what could have happened if no one volunteered to stop Hitler. The whole Jewish race could have and almost was eradicated and with that they could have very easily taken over the world. Hitler went wrong when he angered the Soviet Union leading into the Nazis getting sandwiched between the Americans, French, and the Soviets. I think that America was mostly excited about joining the war because of creating stronger bonds between them and the other allies. They also could look forward to see how different war tactics and strategies worked to benefit The United States in later battles.

The Allies had to go into World War II because European countries, like France and Great Britain, had the ominous threat of German invasion if they did not fight back. With Poland taken by the Nazis in September of 1939, the Allies had joined the war to protect themselves from invasion. The Allies couldn't just ignore Hitler because he was conquering many European nations, and growing more powerful. In 1939 Czechoslavokia and Poland were invaded. In 1941, America was pulled into the war because of an attack made by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. Before the attack, we viewed the war as a European conflict and mostly wanted to stay away from it, especially after the losses of WWI. A day after the attack we declared war on Japan, and entered WWII. Thankfully, the Allies won the war. I can't even imagine a world were Hitler won the war and took over the world.

During the rise of the Nazi rise to power in Europe, the USA was still attempting to recover from the Great Depression and was not as overly concerned with what was going on overseas in both Asia and Europe. Our political leaders believed that the other countries in Europe and Asia would take care of it. Due to actions by both Japan and Germany, the USA started helping out our allies with supplies and stuff. This all ended after December 7, 1941 which was called "The Day that will live in Infamy!". This was the day that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Within days, Germany and Italy declared war on the USA and after being attacked on our own soil, many American's supported our soldiers and military and government getting involved in World War II.

Before the attack on Pearl Harbor, a lot of American's did not always believe the stories coming out of Europe of the atrocities being carried out by the Nazi's. Many believed it was just propaganda being put out in order to others involved in fighting what was taking place.

Different fragments of the Allies got in involved in World War II at different periods during the war. Great Britain, for example, declared war on Germany because of the Nazi's thirst for "world domination", putting it simply. Initially, the United States did want to have any part in the war. Roosevelt, for his reelection campaign, even said “I have said this before, but I shall say it again and again and again: Your boys are not going to be sent into any foreign wars.” We, to a point, did ignore Hitler for a while. America did not truly know all of the monstrous crimes against humanity the Nazis did. And, since there are too many Holocaust deniers in today's terms with all of the evidence people have provided, during World War II, there must have been a horrendous amount more. The United States was so anxious to help the war because Germany was very frightening. On one side, Japan is killing thousands in Pearl Harbor, and on the other side, Germany is attempting to bring forth anti-semitism as a universal standard. So, of course America would contribute to the war.

There were tons of reasons the allied powers got involved with WWII. One reason was what Hitler was doing, was too gruesome and had to be stopped. Another was there were other wars going on at the time. Once the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, the U.S got frightened and we were scared of the attack that happened here. Hitler was gaining to much power. He was killing off so many Jews, plus other's that no one could keep up. His men would beat, rape and torture the woman and men of the concentration camps. He was a horrific person and we simply didn't know what he was planning to do next. This is why the allied powers took place in WWII because his power was growing and growing and no one knew what they would eventually be up against.

The Allies got involved in World War II to help those who could not defend themselves. They realized that if they did not do anything Hitler would take over the world. Ignoring him was not an option because they could see how dangerous he was. Other countries gave in and let him do what he wanted. We could not ignore him because he would continue to kill people. They were anxious to start the war because they knew if they didn't do anything they knew what the result would be. They wanted to save the people who were being killed. They were also anxious to help because the other allies were getting tired and our troops could come in fresh. This way they could help The allies defeat the Nazis.

The allies got into the war for a variety of different reasons. If they didn't stop Hitler's rate then Hitler with all of his power would soon attempt to take over Americ. All of the world's Jewish people would have no where to hide. Hitler wouldn't stop with killing just Jews though, he would also kill black people and other races and religions he didn't care for. This is why America had to join World War 2 and stop Hitler before all hope was lost. Brenden McFarland 6/7

Because of Hitlers actions the allies got involved in ww2. We didnt ignore hitler because he was threatining the allies and becouse this war needed to be ended. Due to the fact that we didnt want to draw attention to ourselves we were anxious to help during the war. We also did not want to risk hitler doing anything to us.

The Allied powers got involved because Hitler was taking over countries. Hitler was also killing millions of people 6 million were Jews. We didn't ignore Hitler because he was killing to many people. America was so anxious because they were bombed at Pearl Harbor and they didn't want Hitler to kill any one else.
